Located in Los Angeles, California, The Canfield-Moreno Estate, also commonly known as The Paramour Mansion, was once the scene for a number of extravagant high society parties. The lavish mansion was also used as a set for Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, Intolerable Cruelty, and Scream 3. It has also been used as a recording studio by a number of recording artists including Gwen Stefani, My Chemical Romance, Sting, and Elton John. The grand estate is also said to be haunted. The band, My Chemical Romance, were set to record their album “The Black Parade” inside the mansion when they experienced a number of odd occurrences - disembodied dogs barking, doors inexplicably slamming closed, bathtubs filling with water, and night terrors. The lead singer, Gerard Way, said he awoke in the middle of the night and felt as though somebody was strangling him. This bizarre experience became the inspiration for the song, “Sleep.”

30 cm diameter and a weight of 2.2 kg, with a blue-green patina and inlaid with gold symbols. These are interpreted generally as a sun or full moon, a lunar crescent, and stars (include a cluster interpreted as the Pleiades). Two golden arcs along the sides, marking the angle between the solstices, were added later. A final addition was another arc at the bottom surrounded with multiple strokes (of uncertain meaning, variously interpreted as a Solar Barge with numerous oars, as the Milky Way, or as a rainbow).
