Oh my gosh my half marathon was amazing!!! :D I finished in 2:10, with a 9:50 pace! I cannot even describe the feeling of accomplishment as I crossed the finish line. Afterwards, I told this girl she did a good job and she said I did too, that she was trying to keep pace with me but it didn’t quite work out, and I really motivated her :’) Such an amazing feeling!! I’ll post pictures later!

Yesterday, I ran for those who can’t with my sister in the Wings For Life World Run BELGIUM!

Yesterday I couldn’t believe it and I still can’t today. I have barely practiced for this race, I only ran a 2.15K last week, and still I broke my PR on distance: 8.16K in 58:40 and (My last and first 8K in December was in 1:04:44) My mind is literally blown, I wanted to quit the whole time because I was having pangs in my side for the first 3-4K, I was tired because I hadn’t slept all night, I neither had eaten something ‘good’, just a slice of bread with Nutella and a waffle… Besides all of that I sprinted the last meters, I was crying like a baby and almost throwing up but I really wanted to reach the 8K before the catcher car got me and I did!!!  I finished the race and the tears just kept rolling down my face for a couple of minutes. (HERE’S A BIG F*CK YOU TO THE ASSHOLE WHO MADE FUN OF ME AND TOLD ME THAT I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN RACES, I F*CKING PROVED YOU WRONG)

I was and still am beyond happy and proud, I know now that I can do this, that I can do all of this and even more, all you gotta do is BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t because you CAN!

Did anyone else participate in the World Run yesterday? If so, I hope you kicked ass and had a great time XOXO

My Crape Myrtle Tree. Fragrant with Lilac. Hangs over the sidewalk leading to the front door. That’s what I love about living in the South. All the wonderful aromas and beautiful shrubs, trees, and bushes. Living in ATL, is like living in a Park, yes , a Big City Park. There are many many trees that encompass this City. In the evening when the sun is going down and some of the heat from the summer starts to dissipate, it smells great. You know, that outdoorsy smell! I make my own colognes and have  aroma chemicals that simulate that “outdoorsy” aroma. One is called Myrac Aldehyde, a more modern one is called Ozofleur.

The natural smell of this Crape Myrtle and the Magnolia tree just to the left of it, when the wind blows just right and catches those 2, it’s a great aroma indeed!

I had a blast this weekend at my final Spartan Race I needed to complete my trifecta. 12 miles, 27 obstacles. I started out running solo and picked up some awesome teammates along the way. They helped me tremendously. Not to mention my support waiting for me at the finish line. I love life.

October Goal: 26.5/50 Way behind this month, I’ll just have to do better next month!
