Blizzardfur: Oi, Barley Wind! Who'd you get scolded for mating with Sun Leaf? Did any Kits result? Tell us about them!

Well, I recall having a conversation with Aster Petal, the current Healer and one of my bestest friends. We were talking about the need for new kittens soon! I said, “Aster Petal, since I’m not the Healer or a Healer-Gazer waiting to be chosen anymore, I’d be happy to have kittens for the Tribe again! After all, I’ve already had Snake Tail.” And Aster Petal said, “Alright, but don’t feel pressured to.” And I said, “I never could. I would love to add to my family and help the Tribe!”

We talked a bit about Sun Leaf, then. He has a such a lovely rump. A beautiful view when he’s walking away with that tail held high. He’s also Sun-Touched, so any kits with him would be very lucky indeed. They might even be Sun-Touched themselves! So of course, I told Aster Petal, “Sun Leaf? I’ll be sure to have kittens with him and so bring our Tribe lucky New-Lives!”

Funniest thing? He seemed a little horrified! Ehehehehe…

And then Sun Leaf and I have a very enjoyable Summer Solstice night. Shared a nest and some good times.

Snake Tail, my daughter, was a little distressed about this. “Why Sun Leaf? Anyone but Sun Leaf!” she insists. Of course, Sun Leaf is not at all a good father. He’s too full of himself and busy strutting and preening. But that’s OK. I just needed him to donate a little life so I could have kittens. Otherwise, I’m happy with him doing him and me being able to raise my kittens is peace and with my daughter.

And then, about a moon ago I had my kits! One of them… alas they weren’t born fully. I think they ended up, that the spirit didn’t properly enter the kitten. Of course it will have another chance soon, no doubt. Besides that one, my daughter, Moth, is not doing so well. I worry a lot for her and I’ve done my best; so as Aster Petal and Salmon Stream. Hopefully she’ll recover soon. But my other two, Hornet and Raven, are quite energetic. They’re learning to use their legs now and walk! They love to wrestle around, and Raven’s very fond of exploring everything with her mouth– and biting it! Like my tail…

They’re still very young yet and their personalities are only just beginning of course. But I adore them and I’ll be sure to raise them as strong and spiritual members of the Leaf Tribe!

ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine somehow obtaining magical powers and watching Loki and Doctor Strange fight over who gets to take you as their apprentice.

NOTES/WARNINGS: No warnings to speak of except for a single reference to Thor: Ragnarok without being too specific. As well as police stations and daggers if anyone is uncomfortable with either of those. Side note: Tumbler is actually a last name that is, apparently, on the brink of extinction?(I’d have to fact-check that but that’s one of two reasons I chose it.)-(Oh MAN it’s been a long time since I wrote for this blog! Good to be back!)

I sat boredly on the chair in the police station and stared straight ahead at the wall opposite me, chin in my hand. I was just grateful they hadn’t handcuffed me. The officer sitting on the other side of the table repeated his question. “Where were you the night of the meteor shower?”

I glanced at my other hand, which was resting on the table. “Yes,” I said.

“Yes?” the officer challenged. “Yes what? You’re finally going to answer?”

Spirit, take my hands, most faithful friend. For but a little longer I beseech: continue in thy service to my schemes. And when they are complete, I swear to thee– We shall fly beyond this isle–the corners of the world our mere prologue. I’ll seek to make thy happiness so great that e'en the name of liberty’s forgot. What sayest thou to my most hopeful wish?
