Imagine: Hating the sound of too much noise and Eric sees you flinching during initiation; he takes you into his apartment and holds you captive until you explain.

You flinch away as the two initiates in the ring scream, fighting each other. I’m not cut out for Dauntless, I made a mistake. You sigh and turn away from the two bloody boys who were viciously punching one another. You feel as if you’re being watched, you turn back around and sure enough, your instructor and the leader of the faction, Eric, is watching you. He looks a little confused and keeps his eyes on you for the rest of class. Eventually he dismisses the class, and forces you to stay back.

“You’re coming with me,” He commands, you flinch at his risen voice.

“What? Where?” You whisper.

“Do as I say, no questions!”

He drags you by the wrist into a large hallway, with doors on either side. He unlocks one of the doors and pulls you into a dimly lit apartment, his apartment. He throws you on to the couch, you look at your wrist, bruises were already forming, “Why did you bring me here?”

“You’re scared.”

“W-what do you mean?”

“I saw you during training, you were scared. Are you afraid of fight? Or was it the blood?”

“I-it was nothing, I wasn’t afraid,” You say confidently, you weren’t lying; you weren’t afraid, you just didn’t like noise.

“I saw you, you couldn’t even face them, you were scared.”

“I wasn’t scared, even if I was, why do you care?”

“Because you’re Dauntless, you’re not supposed to be scared,” He turns away, “But if you’re not going to tell me anything, then you can stay in here until you do.”

“B-but,” Before you can protest he walks into the kitchen. He can’t possibly keep me in here, that should against the rules.

After making some dinner for both of you, Eric went into his office, and had been in there for almost 3 hours, you spent those three hours awkwardly sitting on his couch. He finally gets out of his office to prepare for bed.

“I-if I tell you, will you let me leave?” He looks at you in surprise, almost as if he had forgotten. The surprise on his face is replaced with a victorious smirk.

“Now that’s the spirit. I can’t have one of my initiates acting so cowardly!”

“I-I’m not afraid, I just-” You pause considering whether or not you should be telling him any of this.

“SPIT IT OUT Y/N!” You flinch back, “You’re doing it again.”

“I don’t like noise all right?!” You cringe at the sound of your own voice.

“What do you mean?”

“Eric, I come from Abnegation, I’ve spent my whole life in silence and solitude, nobody around me around me ever talked too much, everyone spent their lives minding their own business, but here, it’s the total opposite, I can’t stand listening to the rowdiness of the initiates, I can’t do it Eric, I hate it!”

“You’re afraid of loud noises?” He looks a little shocked, and he’s hold back an amused smirk.

“I’m not afraid Eric!” You whisper-yell, “Fuck, maybe I made a mistake choosing Dauntless.”

“DON’T EVER SAY THAT AGAIN INITIATE!” He pulls you up by your shirt and yells in your face. You step away from him, squeezing you eyes shut. He sighs, “Alright, you do have potential, so I’m going to help you overcome this.”

“I don’t know yet, but I will,” You look up at him in surprise and gratitude, but a little bit of fear, “Now get out of here and get some sleep, you’ll be up early tomorrow!”

Golden Fairytale Fanfare by Nay

For: Anon

Imagine: Accidentally being pushed into Eric’s lap in the middle of the cafeteria.

You run your hand through your hair as you walk across the cafeteria after a long day of work. Some people give you nods of greeting while others cower away, being a Dauntless leader meant that you were well respected, but at the same time you evoked a sense of fear with many members of you faction.

Your friend Victoria, a woman with striking lavender hair who was a few years older than you, waved at you from the leader’s table, at the end of the cafeteria. She, along with the remaining leaders, Eric, Max, Harrison, and Jared, a kind, black-haired boy who was your age, had already began eating. You watched Eric, who was a year older than you, deep in conversation with Harrison, he seemed to be having a civilized debate, that’s one of the countless things you loved about Eric; his passion for knowledge. Of course you had the biggest crush on him, as a fellow leader, you learned that Eric was not actually a bad guy and the two of you were actually really good friends. You considered yourself to be pretty a confident and fiery woman but whenever Eric was around that would all falter, you were in love with him, you have been for three years now but he didn’t know and you didn’t have the guts to tell him.

You were so lost in your thoughts about the blonde leader that you didn’t notice how close were to him until you felt someone bump into you, hard, you fell. You heard yourself let out a little shriek; however, to your surprise the landing wasn’t that hard. You let out a sigh of relief, your eyes still shut, when you heard a few giggles, you open your eyes and see yourself seating directly in Eric’s lap.

You feel your face burn up, while Victoria and Jared are shamelessly laughing, and Max and Harrison sit smiling, the rest of the faction stares in awe, waiting to see Eric’s reaction. You slowly turn only to see how close your faces actually are, you realize how smug his expression is, he is clearly enjoying the sight of embarrassment on your face, this only makes you blush harder.

“I wouldn’t have saved you a seat if I had known you’d get so comfortable in Eric’s lap sweetie,” Victoria smirks, you glare at her, unable to form words, realization that you had been sitting in Eric’s lap for quite some time suddenly strikes you and you attempt to get up. Eric instantly grabs you waist pulling you back down, most of the faction had turned away from you at this point, but your table was still watching intently.

You look back at him confused.

“Stay,” He commands, and then whispers, “I don’t mind.”

“It looks like Eric has no problem with her being there Vic,” Jared laughs, then winks while saying, “But I mean who would.”

Jared had a habit of shamelessly flirting with you, and even though it didn’t mean anything to either of you, it bothered Eric to no ends, as soon as those words left Jared’s mouth, Eric’s jaw clenched and his hands squeezed you in closer.

You finally decide to let whatever was happening happen and you relaxed into Eric, absolutely sure that the two of you would have an intense conversation about whatever this was after dinner.

Imagine: Being caught accidently cuddling with Eric.

Part two to this imagine: x

Tris’ POV

“Zeke, I don’t think we should be doing this,” I say as Zeke goes to open Eric and Y/N’s door. Poor Y/N was forced to share a room with Eric, the two of them hate each other and he probably made the girl sleep on the floor.

“Quit being so stiff Tris,” Shauna giggles, “We just want to make sure Y/N’s okay.”

“Four isn’t even as uptight as you,” Zeke adds, and Tobias rolls his eyes.

“Fine,” I groan.

Zeke slowly opens the door and tiptoes in, Shauna follows after him. They look confused for a moment, but the confusion is soon followed by utter shock. Tobias and I exchange a worried glance and push past Zeke and Shauna, as soon as I see what they others had seen my jaw drops in shock.

You sigh, trying to force yourself to wake up, but you’re so damn comfortable and warm. You snuggle closer to whatever is beside you, wait a second, what happened last night?! You quickly open your eyes and see a man’s chest, right next to your face; you tilt your head up and Eric’s Godly jaw-line. You try to scoot away but his muscular arm is holding you down and close to him, and frankly, you don’t really want to move away. Your legs are tangled around each other’s and the blanket has slightly slid off, leaving you in one of the most comfortable sleeping positions.

You look back up at Eric’s face and smile, he looks so peaceful. He yawns, and slightly opens his eyes, he’s so cute, Wait what the fuck am I saying?! He finally opens his eyes fully and looks at you, his face is overcome with confusion for a moment, but then he just goes with it, pulling you closer and smiling, “Good morning muffin.”

For some reason, the nickname doesn’t actually bother you for once and you smile back, “Morning.”

That’s when you hear a burst of laughter coming from the doorway, you and Eric both turn around and see Zeke, red-faced and crying from laughter. Shauna is laugh along, and Four and Tris stand there is shock and confusion. Eric curses under his breath and quickly gets out of bed, “Get out.”

“Eric’s going soft!” Shauna mocks, and Zeke laughs harder.

Eric narrows his eyes, “Get the fuck out.”

You’re surprised that Eric has lost his shit yet, you on the other hand want to curl up into a little ball and disappear, Zeke and Shauna will never let you live this down.

“Alright, alright, we’re leaving, bye muffin,” Zeke teases, making kissing noises, before leaving. The others follow him, before leaving, Tris gives you one last disturbed look, and then they’re gone. Eric turns back to you; all signs of peacefulness are gone.

“Alright, you get out too!” Eric tries to keep up his usual hateful act, but for some reason, now it seems like nothing but an act. Maybe Eric isn’t that bad.

Part 3

Word count: 800

It’s almost midnight, but you aren’t tired. When you order another beer, Jason, a guy who has been a fellow initiate, sits beside you. You keep quiet, drinking and laughing at Kevin’s jokes, the man who’s working at the bar.

“This one was great, right, (Y/N)?”

“One of your best, K.” You admit.

“I haven’t seen you around lately.”

You look at Jason with a small fake smile. “I’ve been busy.”

“Leadership, I know. And there comes another one.” He tilts his head to the other side of the small bar, to Eric, your lovely coworker. He sits away from you, well, he rather stays away from anyone.

“Yeah,” you say, trying to make him see that you don’t wanna talk. You heard about Jason. Always mean and cruel. Not that different from Eric, you’re aware, but Jason was a shameful fighter. You were feeling sick just to hear him breathe.

“Where you’re living now?”

“Where the leaders use to live.” It’s Eric who answers. You look at him, with a confused expression on your face. You didn’t know he was paying attention.

“Wasn’t talking to you.”

“You can take his answer as mine.”

“I thought you didn’t need someone to talk for you, (Y/N).” Jason’s smile makes you drink what’s left of your beer and get up.

“I rather not to talk to you.”

“Why? We have nothing to lose. I’m single and so are you. And we’re in the best place in the world”

“Are you crazy?” You turn to him again, with both your hands on your hips.

“What’s wrong with you? You’re a fucking Dauntless now. What’s wrong with a one night stand? ”

“Being Dauntless doesn’t mean she has to be stupid like you.” Eric stands up and speaks before I can even think of a good answer.

“Excuse me?” You whisper to him.

“Shut up, let me deal with him,” Eric whispers back. You gasp in shock. What’s happening with Eric?

“Why is he defending you?” Jason stands up too, and you feel the tension between the two men.

“I don’t know. Now, kids, go to sleep.”

“Sure. My offer is up if you want.”

“She won’t be your one night stand.” The anger on Eric’s voice makes you grab his arm and pull him out the bar.

You don’t give a fuck to what’s wrong with Eric tonight, but you don’t want any problems. You let him go as soon as you’re out, but he keeps following you through the compound. Both of you live on the same corridor, but your apartment is slightly far from his. You stop next to your door and turn on your heels to face Eric.

“Tell me what the hell was that, would you?”

“Jason has caused enough problems. And I heard he impregnated a girl who’s raising the kid alone. I don’t want this for you.” Eric sounds weird. A weight on his voice, something you never heard before.

“Why do you even care? You insult me and shout at me whenever you can. Why do you care now? ” You try your best to stay still and don’t let him notice that your hopes are getting high. Since your initiation, you’re completely in love with the bastard, even though he has many flaws you can’t stand. But you also try to keep both feet on the ground.

“You’re, right. I shouldn’t care. You didn’t even say thank you.” He looks to the ground and then turns to leave, but you won’t let him go without an explanation. No one, not even Eric, is allowed to mess with your life and leave like it was nothing. You walk fast until you’re before him, staring into those icy blue eyes.

“Thank you,” you whisper. You never had the chance to stay that close to him, and to be honest, the man is even more handsome than you thought. You lose your breath for a second.

“You’re welcome. Will you let me go now? ”

“What do you want?”

“Sorry.” You gather all the courage you have and pull him to you by the collar of his coat.

Kissing Eric is an old fantasy, and right now, you couldn’t let the chance slip through your fingers. You kiss him quickly, pulling away before he gets mad.

“Sorry.” You mutter again.

He smiles at you, amused, and you look down.

“That was interesting.” Eric says before leaning close and capturing you in a slowly, passionate kiss, something you never expected from him since he was all about roughness. After a while, you both pull away to breathe, but he keeps you close.

“Well, that was interesting. You were jealous.”  You whisper, a small smile on your lips.

“Yes. That guy will never get anywhere near you again. ”
