This is Alec, the man that no one ever did something for him, the man that was used for years for others benefits. In one moment when he feels as if someone has his back, they did it for someone else. 

He lowers his eyes and says nothing, after all, this isn’t something new for him… 

It's not my birthday...

The man who never knew he had a birthday, who never had someone made him a cake, the man who never had someone taking care of him. 

That man just got a birthday cake. 

It’s confusing, and overwhelming.

But it is also reassuring in a way.

It gives him some hope, that maybe,  


One day. 

He’ll get to have a normal life.
