The Legend of the Golden Hufflepuff
- Puff 1: Grandma, can you tell the story of the Golden Puff?
- Puff 2: Yeah, come on, Grandma!
- Grandma Puff: Okay, loves. I'll tell you the story again. Alone one magical evening, a young Hufflepuff girl sat among many books; Books on Herbology, magical beasts, history, and many other topics. As she read and relaxed deep in thought, the Hufflepuff began to wonder: Why are my circumstances so wonderful? How could I deserve such amazing friends and peers to surround me everyday? Then, as if by a forced summoning, a middle aged witch floated before her. Her skin glowed a golden hue and sparkles glistened through her long waves of hair. She said "You are so deserving, young Puff. You are kind to the world and unafraid of toil. Your existence is worthy of a happy energy. I give you friends and happiness because it makes you strong; strong enough to spread that joy to those around you--making you a true Hufflepuff. Be content with what you have, you're right to understand that you're lucky. Give thanks and be true." The Hufflepuff girl smiled and picked up her book again once the Golden Hufflepuff had left. She was correct, her Puff spirit lived inside her and gave her a reason to be happy. For only a true Hufflepuff, could understand their luck.
