If Jack sees this, I just want to thank you for being absolutely sweet and so nice. You made me feel important and happy and you have helped me in so many ways without even knowing it. I’m so happy you were ok with my request to write my username on my arm. Since this was my first tattoo, I put a lot of thought into it. I wanted something that meant a lot. And this word means everything to me. “Endless” is the username of my original vine account where I met my best friends through the Jack fandom. That username was for an account that changed my life. The tattoo will also remind me of this time in my life. The time when I met up with two friends from Alabama and Michigan and met the person who meant the most to me. And having you handwrite it made it mean even more to me since you are the reason I’m the person I am today. You’ve taught me how to love myself even though I have problems with that. You’ve taught me how to let myself be happy. You saved me. So thank you. I hope I get to show you my tattoo in real life one day. But until then I just want you to know it meant the world to me and so do you.
mikey @gerardisnotcis and i met at the fiatp show in stuttgart in february and got talking about pencey prep and i told them the story of how they came to be my first proper favourite band and also how much this album means to me and i may or may not have cried a bit over mikey’s copy. so fast forward a few days and actual angel in human form mikey decides to buy a copy for me.
thank you so much, i can’t even put in words how much this means to me just thank you!
DAVID DUCHOVNY IS THE NICEST PERSON ON THE EARTH. okay, so i went down for my photo with him and i asked nicely if i could give up the photo for him to sign my wrist, like bookends, because this last year has been one of growth for me. and he said, “you can have both! bookends?” and i told him he inspired me to start writing again and showed him gillian’s signature on my left wrist. so he says, “that’s great! but what is that?” and i told him it was gillian’s signature. so he grabs both my wrists and pulls me toward him and starts inspecting my tattoo “to make sure they match” and his hands are soft and he smells good and he is so nice and i will post my 2nd tattoo later tonight and I AM DEAD AND THE SHOW HASN’T STARTED PS I LOVE DAVID DUCHOVNY
Warning – This turned into a book. I will put the bulk
under a cut.
Well, what a weekend that was. I see many people have shared
their experiences & I wasn’t going to cause I didn’t want to be repetitive
(plus I hate writing), but what the hell – here we go.
It all started on Thursday night when my husband & I
checked in at the Sheraton & then headed over to The Whisky Bar to meet up
w/ about 25 other fans for whisky tasting & general mayhem. It was such a
blast to meet other fans in the flesh & everyone was so lovely.
Friday was very long & tiring, but also quite exhilarating.
It started with waiting 3 ½ hours in line for the panel in VERY tight &
warm conditions, but a good number of people had to wait in the cold rain, so I
won’t complain. We ended up in the 8th row on the center aisle. We
had a perfect view of the stage, but a bit far for any great pics from my
camera phone, but I’ll share a couple here anyway.
Since everyone saw the panel already, I won’t get into that
except to say it was absolutely marvelous. Sam & Cait were glorious live
& the energy in the room was palpable. Everything they said is pretty much
a blur & I still need to rewatch it to make it all real.
We went straight to the autographs after the panel, but they
were already capped off, so we hung out for a bit & then headed to our dual
photo-op w/ Sam & Cait. The organization was a complete shit-show and they
had no idea what they were doing. We were moved all over the place & then
smooshed all together against the wall to wait again while they figure it out.
After about an hour, they got it together & we were on our way to stand in
