It made me smile that there is a solar eclipse today, because a solar eclipse somehow reminds me of Khadgar and Peregrïn. She compares him to the sun, and she is of course connected to the night/moon. So it sounds nice, meaningful even~ So I had to mark the occasion with a sketch ! 💜
I’m very excited about the solar eclipse this Monday, the 21st, and I’m preparing in any way possible. I made this spread, which I’ve tried with hilarious results, and wanted to share it. This eclipse is going to be a huge time for transformation which I’m really looking forward to.
The correlations are as follows:
1 & 2: Your strengths. These are your strongest qualities that will help propel you through your time of transformation.
3 & 4: Your weaknesses. These are your weakest qualities that will hold you back or hinder you are you move forward in your transformation.
5 & 6: What needs transformed. This is going to give you a general idea about what or which areas of your life need transformed.
7 & 8: Road blocks. It may help to make a guideline of how long your transformation will take place, but during this time of transition, these will be your roadblocks.
9 & 10: Advice. This is what the cards believe will help you. Heed this advice and take it with a grain of salt.
Not all cards you pull will mean the same that they do to you as they do to another person. Interpret at your own pace and with your own understanding and I hope your time of transformation goes well.
Shawn Jackson and Hasse Bernfield, better known as Whit and Slug. These two are Nana’s adopted grandsons, and certified little shits– ESPECIALLY Whit. Both of them have spent most of their lives on the planet too.
Whit came to the planet with their (rich) family to live in one of the colony. They got their nickname because of the old Whitworth rifle they carried around: it’s a family heirloom and they would always brag that they would inherit it and use it one day. They’re kind of annoying, 110% sass, and a joker. It was them who told Nana all that dumb shit that she totally believes.
Slug’s parents died in a mining accident and he became a bit of an outcast in the community. He wouldn’t let anyone near him and ended up bullying kids out of food and money. When he tried to steal from Whit, an outcast in their own right, they became fast friends. He got his name from his weapon of choice: the shotgun.
The X-Men Tv shows are doing all the things which the movies aren’t right.
The Gifted takes its time in developing and introducing characters slowly and effectively. Caitlin and Marcos adventure helped to give a deeper insight into their motivations.
The scenes in prison were messed up. Polaris and other mutants in shock collars really showed how they view mutants and the beat up effectively underlined that.
Blink is already established as an incredibly powerful mutant when she loses control. Imagine what she will be able to do once she’s in control. The same goes for the Sturcker kids. Lauren already showed that she is not just a powerful mutant but also quick of thinking. Andy’s powers are still very raw and out of control
The Gifted has found the perfect balance of giving enough information to keep it extremely thrilling but not too much to ruin the flow and the tension.
Sooooo I went reallllyyyy overboard with this one and decided to stay up all night painting but quite happy with how it came out. Solar Witch for Inktober day 11 (even though its not really ink but whatever)
