Girl Meets One Tree Hill AU ↳ Riley Matthews as Brooke Davis
“She was fiercely independent. Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In 2 years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday. And I’m not sure she even knows it.”

Dear Mr. Scott,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.
i have only recently gotten into one tree hill, but i can honestly say i’ve never fallen so in love with a show before.
there’s a quote where lucas says “tree hill is just a place somewhere in the world. if you look close, you might see someone like you. someone trying to find their way, their place, their self. sometimes it seems like you are the only one in the world who’s struggling, frustrated, unsatisfied, just getting by. but that feeling’s a lie. and if you just hold on, just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find you and make it all okay. because we all need a little help sometimes-someone to helps us hear the music in their world, to remind us that it won’t always be this way. that someone is out there, and that someone will find you"
two things i’ve taken away from this show are; 1. that no matter how difficult life gets, whatever is thrown your way, it DOES get better. it always gets better. there are ups and downs, and if you “just hold on” it gets better. and 2. people are not their choices. they are not your first impression of them. more often than not, they’re not even who they used to be. every “villain” had a backstory. they weren’t who you thought they were. or they changed. people make bad decisions sometimes, and they learn and they grow, and they better themselves because of it.
this show has been that “someone” to me. it has been a friend in a very lonely season of my life. something i especially love about this show is how real, honest, and relatable the characters are. you see someone who is going through the same thing you are going through, feeling the way you feel, wanting the things you want. you begin to root for them, and feel hope when you see them get those things. hope that you can get those same things, and get to those same places.
one tree hill is heavy, emotional, warm, loving, and encouraging. it goes past the stigmas and has more depth to it than any other “teen drama” and for that, and so many other reasons i’m forever grateful for this show.
so from me, and so many others, thank you for creating a show that matters.
