my night vale project

Help with Project

Hello! I’m a student at Appalachian State University and in one of my classes, we are researching different fan groups for our final paper. We had to research a fan community that we’re not a part of and I wanted to research Welcome to Night Vale. I need to talk to some people about the community, the podcast itself, and its impact. If anyone could talk to me, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

welcome to nightvale.

My secret project: Welcome to Night Vale Miss Frizzle!

The awesome design is by cutie-toes and when I first saw her artwork, I knew it had to be one of my next Frizz dresses!

I decided to keep it as an at-con reveal just for funsies, although all of the people who know me in person knew what it was. This was a simple project that was supposed to be something I just threw together for fun, but it ended up being around 15 hours of painting and was actually a big undertaking!

I’m so happy with this dress and thankful for the excellent design and sweet headcanons! I’m not normally one for crossovers, but this one struck me so much that I had to cosplay it!

I’m actually really glad with how the embroidered nameplate/insignia patches came out and I will do better next time now that I have some experience under my belt.

It also occurred to me that I didn’t explain the meanings of the non-labeled merit badges so here goes
Cassette tape: Dark Owl Records Dance Off Participant
Tyrell Corp Logo: Passing the Turing Test
All-Seeing-Eye: Summoning an Ancient God
Tomorrowland Insignia: Time Travel - Future (now that the City Council has lifted the ban on time travel, of course.)

this is my final post about the night vale project. i hope you all really enjoyed it!

i might model some other places in night vale one day. please check out my final video it would mean literallty THE WORLD to me

Part 3 of my “House Banners of Night Vale” project.

I enjoyed this one, as fitting in and adequately integrating all 5 heads was a bit of a challenge, but 16 or so processes later, I think it came out quite well. :) Also, I realised that I had no idea what Hiram’s main head color was until I started this banner. Turns out, it’s gold.

Part 1 - House Palmer

Part 2 - House Peters

Part 4 - House Flynn

Part 5 - House Cardinal (contains spoiler for #49B)

Help Me Prove Welcome To Night Vale is Compelling Literature

For my final project in my Young Adult Literature course, I’m going to research Welcome to  Night Vale and why its so important to young adults, with the goal of proving that its really a unique form of young adult literature. If anyone feels like sending me a message talking about your own feelings about Welcome to Night Vale, I would really appreciate it. I have a ton of stuff from journalists and cirtics, but I would love to include more direct support from fans, since you’re basically the reason WTNV continues to exist. Your opinion would mean so much  more than that of a journalist.

You could possibly answer some of these questions:

How did you find out about Night Vale?

Have you attended any WTNV events? If, so, can you tell me about your experience?

Why does WTNV interest you? Why is it important to you?

Do you participate in the WTNV fandom? How? (fanart, fanfic, pretty photosets, reblogs, ritual bloodstone sacrifices, etc.)

Have you read the new WTNV book? What did you think of it?

Or you could send me literally anything else (okay, not EVERYTHING else). I know some people listen to WTNV to help them sleep or to relax. It would be so cool if you could tell me about that. Anything you could tell me about the podcast or the book would be helpful.

TL;DR. Send me your opinions on why WTNV is a compelling podcast in order to receive my eternal gratitude. I will also probably follow you afterwards.

And hey, Thanks.
