I remember all the promises we’ve made together—all the good things you’ve said that I thought would last forever. We were like kids writing our futures without knowing how time could change us—how the world will try to always make us reminisce the past. How the people around us will try to mold us into something we didn’t want.
It was the different type of love. I don’t know if fate is real or if destiny confuses us about what we feel. But I always imagine you with me, and my heart beating with yours in symphony. It was the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard. The most wonderful feeling I couldn’t get tired of.
There’s always something that goes in between. Pedestrians passing by— every time the traffic lights signal us to stop. When you were walking fast yet caught up behind someone who is walking slowly enough. When you already want to do the things you love, but you saw something that puts a doubt in your heart. When you thought you already found someone who you can’t enjoy living without.
I choose you over anything else, hoping that you’ll also end up picking me over everybody else. Yet I put a finger on your lips telling you to stop spreading all the sugar coated lies. I point to your chest, hoping for you to be honest. Darling I think I couldn’t take it anymore, if you continue to pretend that you still love me more.
Believe when I say that everything will be okay, even if it will take a lot of time for me to heal. In the end I will surely learn from all of this things. I will still carry the love I have somewhere inside me. Not for you, but for—each and every—broken part of me. This is how I should let go of you. One by one, I’ll remove my fingertips away from holding your hands. One by one I’ll let go of you so you can rest and breathe. Day by day, letting go will ease the pain.
And until my hands stop bleeding, my soul will suddenly appreciate the wonderful life I’m living. In the end my heart will learn how to love myself more—and will finally consider it as my home.
umm..so I cracked the code to the sweeran collab, I think?
So…Taylor and Ed wrote this song together (I️’m assuming) and if you fast forward to Taylor’s spotify playlist, she added His song ‘Perfect’ to the list.
This song was a love song to his gf Cherry, but it also mentions the two of them dancing the night away on a lawn, to their favorite song. The kicker is…that song was ‘March Madness’ by Future.
Now, my theory is that because Future’s music holds a special place in Ed’s heart (and possibly Taylor’s too) they wanted to get him on the track. Not because he fit into the idea of being in a love song, seamlessly, but because a love that isn’t seamless is the one that lasts. It can have its romantic moments, but it’s also that 3am rush of flailing on a lawn with someone, and rather than hoping that moment can last forever…you have a peace to you, knowing that moments like those with that person, will be happening for the rest of forever. It’s End Game.
Of course I still miss you, of course I still love you. Of course the only thing I still want is to talk to you. It never dampened, never waned, that choice to take a chance on each other we made. That light you emanate still blinds and burns me to my core, and when you left kept me hollow, desperate, yearning for more. I left because you wanted me to, I left because I knew you were hurting, that there were problems and life choices you had to make and I wasn’t helping, and I left because a part of me knew that if we kept going, the wounds we would leave would be harder and harder to heal, never closing. I did want us to keep going, I did want us to keep growing, together we’d wander, seek the world, go exploring, and in that radiant voluminous glow we’d ponder, the choices we made that brought us to fall in love with each other. But I know this is the end of the game, that if ever we crossed paths again it couldn’t be the same, that the life we shared and had, now we can only visit in pictures, songs, and memories, if ever we could address that life again by name. You and I were drawn together, meant to fall in love, but not to last forever. And I can never be mad, wish you ill will or look back in anger, because you were the most important part of my life once upon a time, and I’ll still have that love and respect for you, forever and ever after.
laugh if you want, it still burns for you (5/24/17), thekaijusleeps
“Babe, hurry up. Jessica’s party is in 2 hours and I promised I would help her set up.” Jeff said entering you room which was now covered in clothes. “Wow it looks like your closet threw up in here.”
“It’s the first party of my junior year and your senior one.” You said scavenging your clothes. You sat on the floor and threw the shirt in your hand. “I just want to look cute.”
“Y/N,” Your boyfriend said as he knelt next to you. “You’ll look beautiful in whatever you choose to wear, okay? But if you want my opinion, wear the that dress I bought you last month. I always thought you looked hot in it.”
You smiled up at your boyfriend who was now standing and holding out his hand. Taking his hand, you stood up and kissed him. “Thank you, J”
You went your bed and picked out the black dress. “Now get out so I can put on my face and get ready.”
“I can’t stay for the show?” He asked with a smirk.
“Out!” You said laughing pushing Jeff out your room.
You got to Jessica’s place early to help with the set up but not really so when Jeff went to go help the guys with the kegs you chatted with your friends Jess and Clay.
Clay was the one that had set you and Jeff up after hearing about your crush on the senior from Hannah.
By 10, the party was in full swing. Most kids were inside the house sitting in couches some were talking, others not so much. You were amongst the ones sitting in the living room talking to Tony.
You were in full conversation with your friend when you saw Jeff make his way out the room. You apologized to Tony and cut the conversation short. “And where are you going mister?” You said getting ahold of your boyfriend.
“Hey, I’m on provisions so I’m just gonna grab a couple more beers from the store.” He said.
“Okay, I’m coming too,” You happily said taking his large hand in your petite one.
“Nah babe, you don’t have to. Have fun with your friends, it is a party after all.”
You gave him the look and he knew there was no point in arguing. “Fine. Only cause you’re cute.” He kissed the top of your head.
You two successfully got the beers and you were on your way back.
You put on the radio and John Legend was on. “Oh my gosh, our song!” You squealed. This was the song that played in the background when you two first had sex.
“Cause all of meeee, loves all of youuu.” You and Jeff sang, pointing at each other. You held his hand as the chorus continued, wishing you could stay in this moment forever. Little did you know both your lives would change, in a major way.
You two were so mesmerized by one another you didn’t notice another car come out of nowhere. “Jeff, watch out!” You screamed as the car came rushing towards you. And that was the last thing you saw before darkness eclipsed you.
“Y/N, wake up. Wake up, baby girl.” Jeff said standing over you. “I need you to wake up for me.”
And you did.
You slowly lifted you heavy eyelids as the strong smell of anti-bacterial cleaner filled you nose. Your mouth was dry and you were laying down, in a bed it seemed, and the room was bright. Light from the window reflecting off the white walls, made you want to close your eyes again. You felt like you had slept for years, but you was still tired.
You heard the beeping of a machine and slowly turned your head towards the source of the noise. The muscles in your neck were stiff and sore. You saw your mother sitting in a chair by the window.
“Mom,” You said weakly.
“Hey,” She whispered, sitting at the edge of your hospital bed.
“Why am I…?” You said as you tried to sit up.
“You were in a coma, sweetie.” She said and your eyes widen. “Just for two days.”
You noticed your moms facial features. her eyes were sporing major bags and they were puffy and red. Has she been crying?
“Mom, where’s Jeff?” You asked looking around.
“Y/N, Jeff..uh..He didn’t make it.” She said as tears started brimming her eyes. “I know how much you loved him.”
“No, no no there’s no way,” You stuttered. This can’t be true. Jeff Atkins cannot die.
“Honey, I am so sorry but he … he died on scene.”
You were numb. Why him? You wanted to scream. Why him? “ B-But I-I didn’t- I didn’t get to say goodbye,” You sobbed. You couldn’t believe that the love of your life was…gone.
“Sshh, Y/N. Everything will be okay.” Your mom said trying her hardest to soothe you. She laid next to you and wrapped her arms around you fragile body.
“I loved him, Mom. I loved him so much and now-” You cried into your moms chest.
“I know sweetie, I know.” She stroked your hair. “He loved you very much.”
“It was should have been me.” You clung to your mom as the nights events played over and over in your head.
Losing someone you deeply care about hurt. He was your first love and you will always love him. Always.

Reasoning: Honestly bands aren’t acknowledged enough in the Kpop world, not that there are many to begin with. They are an extremely talented group. And Hongki’s voice is amazing. It’s so unique and different. You really need to listen to him.
Reasoning: Seriously I feel like so much could have been avoided had U-Kiss had more popularity. I mean I won’t talk about all the member line up changes and stuff here but honestly I think things would have turned out better for U-Kiss if people didn’t sleep on them all the time. Their vocals were/are really good and their songs are good too. [Well maybe not so much their earlier stuff but you know..]
Reasoning: Seriously if you are still sleeping on Beast/Highlight…I don’t know what to say to you. Amazing songs, amazing talent like….what else could you want. Sadly Beast is no longer Beast and now only 5 members but in my heart Beast is still Beast and I’ll forever be a Beauty.
Reasoning: UGH WHY SLEEP ON INFINITE!!!??? They are amazing, all members can sing well. They are literally known for their synchronization. Their songs are amazing. Like what is there not to like? And all their personalities are different so I promise there will be one that you like. Also check out their non title songs as well. I swear that list of fave songs is so long like I can’t even put them all on there. LOVE INFINITE I’M BEGGING YOU! Also check out their sub units: Infinite H, Infinite F, and Sunggyu’s solo albums and Woohyun’s solo album.
Reasoning: Well….have you heard of them? I honestly happened to just stumble upon them and fell in love with them. Sadly their sales are pretty much shit in Korea and so they mostly promote and release songs in Japan which unfortunately are not as much of my taste. I like that one that I listed. But their Japanese singles don’t fit them as well as their more manly Korean ones. But whatever money talks and they do what sales. That’s why you won’t see them promoting much in Korea.Sigh….if only they were more popular.
Reasoning: Honestly has anyone even heard of them? Do you know them? Most people don’t. Except maybe now with Hyunsik making waves in the acting world. But still….they are relatively unknown. Unfortunately they are on hiatus, there was a statement that the group disbanded but members themselves have said that’s not true. So maybe when they eventually come back more people will know of them.
Reasoning: Truthfully they are much more popular than most that will be on this complete list. But they honestly don’t get the amount of recognition they truly deserve. They are so talented; Sandeul and Jinyoung’s voices are so beautiful. CNU and Gongchan are talented as well despite not being the main vocals. Baro’s rapping is great as well. Their songs are all amazing and a lot of them are upbeat and cute and playful and I love it. They are so adorable you should honestly listen to and love them.
Reasoning: Boyfriend is one of the most looked over 3rd generation idol groups. [that’s debatable but in my own little system they are 3rd generation] Anyway point is they aren’t very popular, you hardly ever see them on any variety shows, they haven’t even had a proper comeback since 2015. Their company screws them over and has basically thrown them in the basement not to see light of day while they focus on their other more popular groups. Someone support Boyfriend please omg!
Reasoning: Have you heard of them? Probably not. They aren’t very popular, aren’t promoted well. And basically no one hears of them. But I really like their songs and they are really talented so you should at least give them a chance.
Reasoning; I’ll be honest I’m not like stanning them in the sense that I know their names or personalities or anything like that. But I do enjoy their music and when they do come out with new stuff I always make sure to check it out. You should too. Honestly they deserve more popularity.
Reasoning: I swear no one has heard of them, they are never on any shows. I seriously only know one member because I’ve only ever seen them on one show. So I haven’t really got to know them. But what I do know is they are talented and I like their music so you should listen to them.
Reasoning: Seriously BTOB gets mistreated and underrated all the time. Even some music shows don’t like to have them because of their unpopularity. It’s so ridiculous I just don’t understand why they aren’t popular. They are adorable and cute and sweet and talented. They are versatile too. Originally being a normal kpop group but they have transformed into an absolute beautiful ballad/pop group. Honestly they are amazing you should love them. Everyone should love them.
i. i love the way you say my name. it’s soft and sweet and feels like a song, accented and melodic and wonderful, feels like if i close my eyes it might last forever, feels a bit like staring at the sun too long – it makes everything bright and warm, makes me curl my toes underneath the sheets and shove my face into my pillow because the smile spreading across my face is too wide to bear.
ii. i think you laugh in flowers. i tell a joke and it feels like spring, feels like stepping into a warm patch of sunlight after a cold winter, feels like i might never be this happy again. don’t even get me started on how much i love it when you make yourself laugh.
iii. the softest messages to receive are “good morning"s sent at 2 am. the hardest ones are “i’m going to bed now” sent at 5 pm. everything in between feels like floating
iv. i see a kindness in you that is unmatched. you are so strong and so resilient and yet so gentle, so willing to put others before yourself. you are the light
v. i love all of our future plans – when the world grows a bit too heavy i think about the days i will spend drifting in and out of sleep with you, mornings spent getting coffee in cafés, days spent sitting by the ocean, painting together, making dinner together, holding hands and train tickets and trips to the planetarium to look at the stars
vi. sometimes you make me feel so full and warm i don’t know what to do with myself.
vii. i tell you i love you every single day and every single day i mean it more
Okay so, I decided to do this because I got really recently to 1.4K followers ??? That’s crazy, thank you. And also because I love talking about my favs, hehe. I’m going to put here the idols that I listen to the most and name my fav songs of each one of them. Btw, this is probably going to be really fucking long.
That’s How a Moment Lasts Forever - Post-BatB Oneshot
“Why do you keep
so many tea sets?”
The old man
chuckled, leaning back in his armchair as he watched his littlest
grandchild. While her two older siblings had chosen to play outside
in the snow, she stared at his bookcase, which, instead of being
filled with books, was lined with teapots and teacups made of wood,
porcelain, and china.
“Well, you know
your father’s a potter; he gives me the ones that no one wants.”
“But do you even
use them?” the girl asked. “They’ve got chips and cracks in
them. They wouldn’t make good tea.”
definitely your mother’s daughter,” the old man replied. “I
suppose…I keep them because they deserve a home, a place to
The girl raised her
eyebrows. “You make it sound like they’re alive.”
old man’s voice took on a spooky tone. “Sometimes they talk to me
The girl laughed.
“No they don’t!”
“No, they don’t,”
he agreed, laughing in return. “But can’t an old man have his
hobbies? I like antiques! I’m a collector, always have been! You
see that?” He pointed at a tiny, intricately decorated box on the
mantel above the fireplace. “It plays a lullaby if you open it.
The king’s grandfather made that for me when I was a boy.”
tea sets were momentarily forgotten as the little girl ran over to
the mantel and seized the box in her hands.
man raised a gnarled hand, but there was no need; the girl set the
box down with the utmost care. She lifted open the box, revealing a
tiny, incredibly detailed replica of a rose. The rest of the inside
was gold and cornflower blue, with a castle painted on the inside of
the lid. She located the winding handle on the side, and with a nod
from her grandfather, wound it up and let it play.
At once, a little
melody, strong but sweet, began to emit from the box, causing the
rose to rotate slowly in place. The girl sat, entranced by the box,
while the man closed his eyes and hummed along.
“You won’t find a
box like that anywhere else,” he finally said. “That’s why it’s
The girl waited
until the last notes faded away, then looked up at her grandfather to
ask him a question. But what she saw startled her into concern
rather than curiosity.
Grandfather!” She rushed forward, drawing out her handkerchief to
wipe his tears away. The song was beautiful, yes, but it wasn’t a
song that should be cried over!
He smiled and let her wipe away his tears. “You are very kind. My
mother used to sing that song for me.” He didn’t need to say the
“Oh,” the girl
whispered. “I’m sorry.”
“You didn’t know,”
the old man reassured her, smiling. “Besides, I let that old box play every day, and you don’t see me crying all the time, do you?”
“No,” the girl answered, grinning. “You’re very cheerful.”
“Well that’s good,” he exclaimed. “I’m glad I didn’t grow up to be an old grump like my father did.”
They sat in silence for a few more minutes; she admiring the music box, and he gazing at the tea sets in the bookcase that he kept so well polished that the imperfections shone in the light.
“Do you want to know the real reasons behind the tea sets?” he asked suddenly, waking the girl from her short-lived reverie. “Why I look after them like I do? You have to promise not to laugh or walk away.”
The little one shrugged, but sidled up to her grandfather’s armchair. “Okay. Tell me.”
“Do you promise not to laugh?”
“I promise.” Her eyes gazed up at him, wide and trusting.
“It’s because I used to be one myself.”
The girl sat there, eyes wide, lips parted slightly in surprise. She wanted to ask if it was a joke, but the old man looked completely serious. And she was just at that age where she was learning to take care of herself, but still young enough to believe in fairy stories, if they were spun the right way.
The old man’s lips curled into a real, genuine smile, one that only children would understand. “Magic.”
“What happened?” the girl’s voice was barely a whisper.
“Well…sit back a little, and I’ll tell you,” the man replied. “I was your age when this story took place. It started with a spoiled prince, an old enchantress, and a young farm girl who saved us all…”
“You used to work at the castle?” the girl said after he had finished his tale.
“Well, it was mostly my mother; she was the head housekeeper. I followed in the steps of my father, became a potter, and when I had your father, I taught him as well. Hopefully your older siblings will carry on the family business for me.”
“I bet they will.” The girl slumped in her chair. But soon she straightened up again. “Was the queen really an inventor?”
“Best in the world,” he replied. “She’s the reason why you have a fountain behind your house for laundry.”
“Is the Enchantress still alive?”
“I have no idea. Probably.”
“Were the musicians really world-famous?”
“Of course they were. Why would they lie?”
“Maybe to gain favor with the prince.”
“No, they’ve been in the paper before. I have clippings, if you’re really that skeptical.”
“Wow…” For a moment she was lost in her own daydreams of what it would be like living with famous people. But then another thought stole her mind away. “Could Plumette really fly? Like a bird?”
“Even after the curse she could float for a while, if she wanted to.”
“What do you want me to say about him? The man was an eccentric old codger right up until the day he…” The man paused for a moment, lost in the past. “Until he died.”
The girl pondered the word in silence, while the other sat in his armchair, thinking of times and thoughts that his granddaughter would never understand, no matter how much she listened, or how much she learned. She would never learn to appreciate time as he had, especially now, after all these years. And he was the last one, the one given the most time to contemplate what had happened. Everyone else had already passed on.
Sometimes, they would come to him in his dreams, as young as he remembered them that day: newly human and full of happiness. Lumiere would ask him how old age was treating him, Chapeau would clap him on the back and comment on his family, his mother would wrap her arms around him and tell him how proud she was of him. How proud they all were of him.
But Cogsworth always told him the time, how time was running out. Tick-tock, there’s not much time left. And though he always asked what Cogsworth meant, the old majordomo never explained himself, only kept repeating the same thing over and over again. Even now, Cogsworth was still as incessant as a real clock.
And yet…though he had time well-spent…it never seemed like enough. Well, not until now, as his youngest grandchild sat next to him, visions of magic and curses dancing in her head, the very age he was when the curse was cast. Filled with the wonder of a story that would die with him.
“I have a special task for you, little one,” he murmured, and the girl’s eyes lit up.
“What is it?” she asked. “Whatever it is, I’ll do it.”
“Don’t forget the story I’ve told you today. Not a single word of it. Write it down somewhere, make it a book. And tell your grandchildren. And have them tell theirs.”
“All right,” the child said. “Is it that important?”
“I don’t want anyone to forget them,” he continued. “They taught me a lesson; I am sure they will teach others too. You’ve probably been told that nothing lasts forever, haven’t you?”
“That’s right,” she said. “Mother told me that.”
“Well…this story only happened in a moment, out of all the time in the world. And when I die, the days I’ve lived will disappear. But now that I’ve told you, you can tell other people, and those people can tell other people, and the story will last longer than any of us.”
He wasn’t much of a storyteller at this age, but he could do this much for his family. He didn’t live his whole life just to die without people really knowing what happened all those years ago. It wasn’t just some curse; lessons were learned, and love was restored to the castle.
“Okay. I promise I’ll do it. And my children will do it too.”
Chip smiled and closed his eyes. He could picture them now, in the castle, carrying out their duties, royalty and service alike. Some would call them ordinary, but to him they were the most important people in the world. They didn’t deserve to be fleeting. They deserved to live on. Through story, through song, through legend.
That’s how a moment lasts forever…when our song lives on.
