“Books! And cleverness! There are more important things — friendship and bravery!”

Minister Hermione Jean Granger (b. 19 September, 1979) was a Muggle-born witch born to Mr and Mrs Granger, both dentists.

The boy was mad! -Didn’t like magic? -Preferred muggle studies instead? How absurd! Down right bonkers it was. And the lad insisted he wanted to work with magical creatures…

It was true, Hugo didn’t much prefer magic, much to the distress of countless family members. Mostly his younger cousins. The older relatives were simply perplexed by his distaste (as they put it– In reality Hugo simply didn’t care one way or the other) for magic when he wanted to work with fantastic beasts, particularly those found in Mr. Scamander’s book.

Hugo was the patient sort, though he never revealed to them all of his reasons, he would endeavour to explain his position each and every time he was asked. He wanted to understand the creatures he was to study, scientifically, and magic he felt, had a way of hindering that process. The way muggles took to understanding their creatures was much more, unintrusive, in his opinion.

What he never told anyone, and barely even admitted to himself, was that magic was harder for him. Not just in his studies, but in any manner of speaking. He wasn’t a squib, and he passed his classes well enough, but it was with an effort. Like a tap that couldn’t quite turn on all the way. Luckily, you didn’t need to have magic to be brave.

No makeup. No filter. Natural hair. For the longest time I adhered to the self-imposed idea that I could never post a photo without full cat eyes, filled-in brows, and my hair completely styled. I’ve admittedly felt frustrated when the lighting wasn’t perfect or when my naturally wavy hair (something that I was very much embarrassed by growing up) has refused to tame. So here’s me today– without makeup, with my natural Hermione Granger hair, and without any filters of any kind. It may not look stylish or match my instagram feed, but it’s the first time I’ve ever felt genuinely happy to post a “selfie”.

everyone talks about “did you put your name in the goblet of fire” being the worst book to movie dialogue fail but lets be real the worst is where hermione answers a question in class and snape calls her an “insufferable know-it-all” and in the book ron is furious and he goes OFF and says “you asked a question and she knows the answer! why ask if you don’t want to be told?” but in the movies they just make him say “he’s got a point, you know” and i’m still mad about it

do you guys remember that one text post about pyjamas the terror being an anagram for harry james potter?

so initially I was going to draw only harry wearing a pyjamas the terror t-shirt, but then I googled online anagram generator and had so much fun with it that ended up drawing the entire gang
