My New Kentucky Home!

Very excited to announce that my husband and I will be MOVING in the next few months to Lexington, Kentucky for his first year of general surgery residency!

We’ll more than likely be moving elsewhere after that, since this particular program is only a year-long prelim, and I’ve loved my time in Virginia so very dearly, but I’m VERY excited for this new start, and have NO problem enjoying a year of horses and bourbon!

I love the dignity in the name Philadelphia, but at heart, we’re Philly.

Third session of lining. Only characters left to add now are Sophie and Howl, and a quick addition to Haku since one of his hands needs to be adjusted before it goes on for good. This session saw the addition of Howl’s castle, the Nightwalker/Great Forest Spirit, Porco Rosso (via his plane), and Catbus, another little totoro, Satsuki and Mei.

I’m so impressed with Nadia’s work. She’s done an amazing job so far and I’m looking forward to getting into colouring with her right away!

Interestingly the inside of my arm didn’t hurt much at all when it was going on. It stung, but it was way better than I thought it would be… The day after was freakishly terrible, haha, but after I put some moisturizer on there it finally stopped hurting.

Next session is in just under two weeks, so more photos to come after that.

EDIT: If you like what you’re seeing and you’re in the Edmonton area, my artist is Nadia Farhat, at The Mile. She’s amazing and you should go see her! :D

After falling off my bed, Hannibal has since decided that it’s in his best interest to sit in this box he found on my floor for the next half hour

simatrix  asked:

Madelyn's gonna show up and cause drama isn't she? Why can't Rocio & Jacob be happy? I love your story though, I just like torturing myself I guess, lol.

I haven’t decided tbh. The school year is coming to an end and projects are piling up so I might just take a brief break from drama until summer break (In May). But I definitely want something dramatic for when Madelyn comes back around, but she probably won’t come back around until the end of Rocio’s life…. :(

855. When one student bullied another student, the bully would find themselves more prone to accidents involving dodgy staircases or floorboards, particularly in front of large crowds, because the castle doesn't put up with bullying.

Sasuke’s issues align more with Sakura’s than Naruto’s.

We don’t know why Sakura had poor self-esteem but we do know how she tried to overcome it: modeling herself like Ino. This is exactly what Sasuke does with Itachi. Sasuke, like Sakura, compares himself to other people and finds himself wanting. Sakura was bullied because she was an outsider while Sasuke was admired for being seen as the ultimate insider. What they both craved was to be seen on their own terms.

Naruto’s need for acknowledgment stems from near complete neglect. He didn’t have anyone who gave a damn about him. Having an Itachi or Ino would have been a godsend for him. Fugaku may have struggled to meet Sasuke’s emotional needs, but he was still there, which is more than Naruto had.

Sasuke’s entire world being crushed creates a tentative connection with Naruto - they were both alone but at least they were alone together. However, Sasuke’s issues surrounding his fundamental worth are not erased, instead they become near pathological. Not only does he dedicate his life to killing Itachi, he ties his worth as a person to being an avenger. When Sasuke attacks Itachi, his unconscious motive was ‘acknowledge my worth!’ Unfortunately for his mental health, Itachi only looked at Sasuke to punish him.

Sasuke looks inside of himself to find answers while Naruto looks outward to find solutions. Their connection was always going to be fraught because they are so fundamentally different. This was not a narrative accident. Sasuke is constructed as Naruto’s equal but also as his opposite.

Naruto, contrary to fandom osmosis, does not intuitively understand Sasuke. Rather, Naruto completes Sasuke.
