“I do not regret being who I am, being as open as I’ve been. And I am proud of myself for not apologizing for it. I don’t fit into any of the boxes that so many petty-minded little motherfuckers love to put me in, and I don’t really care.”

A director will always tell you, when you go in to do a scene, ‘You go as big as you want, and I’ll tell you when to come down.’ And I found that on 'Shameless,’ you can’t follow that rule because they will never tell you to come down. So, I’ve had to find my own balance with when it makes sense to get this upset or angry.

drew’s disney’s descendants auLilith, Princess of Fairedge, daughter of Queen Aurora, the Sleeping Beauty, and Prince Phillip the Dauntless

The kingdom of Fairedge has some of the most unique fauna in Auradon, trees that grow in perfect squares and vines that climb upside down and flowers in every shape, size, and color. Fairedge is also one of the three oldest kingdoms and considers itself sister kingdoms with Dorwood and Caravell, lead by Queen Snow White and Queen Cinderella respectively. The Fairedgish coat of arms bears a ring of black thorns interlocked with a ring of pink roses on a field of purple, and their words are “Walk in Springtime.”

Fairedge has always been the least cooperative as far as Auradon as a whole is concerned, both historically and presently. During the previous attempt to unite the Nine Kingdoms, Queen Snow White and Queen Cinderella were surprised at the resistance of their sister kingdom. Having spent most of their reign fighting off the wicked Maleficent, King Stefan and Queen Leah banished magic from Fairedge years ago and were unwilling to to reconcile with the other kingdoms’ policies on magic, and this lead to the disintegration of the Nine Kingdoms’ union. By the time King Adam and Queen Belle decided to establish Auradon, King Stefan’s kingdom had been inherited by his daughter, Queen Aurora, and her husband and consort, Prince Phillip the Dauntless, son of King Hubert and Queen Rachel. The new generation of rulers were able to find compromise where their predecessors could not, and it was Prince Phillip’s suggestion to implement mandatory magical registration, an idea greatly supported by the royal family of Maldonia as well. Any who refused to comply or committed a Level Three offense, either before or after the new enforced registration, would be banished to the Isle of the Lost. The royal family of Fairedge was shocked and offended by Prince Beau’s idea to disassemble the island and at first refused to send their heir to his summit. But realizing that abstaining was the same as supporting the cause, eventually the Fairedgish rulers agreed to send their only daughter to King Beau’s summit.

As an only child, Lilith has always been ever so slightly spoiled, ever so slightly entitled, and ever so slightly prejudiced against those who wield magic. Even as a child she was cursed with nightmares of fire and thorns and frequently woke with burns and scratches on her arms, legs, and face, an after-effect from a curse placed on her mother as an infant. Lilith inherited the gifts of beauty and song bestowed upon her mother by the fairies Flora and Fauna and, despite the things she’s been taught about magic, the irony is not entirely lost on her. Lilith is known for her beauty, political cunning, and ambition, and she often says she won’t stop until she’s High Queen of Auradon.

“Would he understand why you were so hard? Why you held on so tight? Will he still reach for you if the only dream you ever shared with him was a nightmare? Would he know my love runs through him like blood?”

“‘We’ve heard them all talk about Dust, and they’re so afraid of it, and you know what? We believed them, even though we could see that what they were doing was wicked and evil and wrong… We thought Dust must be bad too, because they were grown up and they said so. But what if it isn’t? What if it's—’

Lyra said breathlessly, 'Yeah! What if it’s really good…’”
