omg the Stoutland line is a seriously under-appreciated Pokémon line, I can’t believe it took me till gen 7 to realise this. I traveled around Alola almost solely on the back of a giant sniffy Yorkshire terrier and it was the best <3
My last comic, but I’ve cut it into parts to make it easier for people to read!
Gnick eats his first Snack cake in 200 years - it’s quite an experience - for best viewing, listen to ‘Morning Dreams’ by Ladyhawke - the fancy lad hits him 11 seconds in!
(I also want to thank Mac for helping me with this! I struggled a bit with the anatomy and hat angles, and if she hadn’t have helped me with them I probably would have got frustrated with this and not finished it!)
I decided to try creating some “Next Gen” characters, which is the term I see people use for children of the MLP cast.
I don’t really see Rainbow and Fluttershy as the types to want children, but I also think they’d both be passionate about taking in a little one in need of a loving family. And so I thought, what if they adopted someone who really needed their unique talents? So, a baby griffon!
Gull-Wing has Rainbow Dash’s tenacity and bravery, as well as Fluttershy’s respect for nature and care for weaker creatures. She’s curious but also gets bored easily, especially if she’s not allowed to be physically active. She feels torn over her nature as a carnivore and sometimes struggles with disordered eating, though her parents are understanding and supportive.
After so much careful color picking, suffering, sai crashing, tablet randomly losing pressure i finished it! It’s been three weeks of working on it and i think it really paid of. Overall i had fun and it was a good lineless art practice.
I guess i should start working on gen 2 now???
