my friday nights are always the same

Friday Night

Imagine that every Friday night you stayed up late and studied so you had the whole weekend to relax and as a reward you always got yourself the same pizza at 11pm to get you through the night but one Friday you’re not feeling too great and decided on a night off instead and end up falling asleep on the couch all cosy in a blanket with Netflix still on in the background. Only a couple hours later you’re woken by a knock on the door, it’s Michael the guy who delivers your pizza every Friday without fail. “erm hey.” He stammers as he rubs the back of his neck, a nervous habit of his. “you er, you didn’t order your pizza like you normally do and I got worried so since my shift just ended i thought I’d make sure you’re okay.”

belphegor1982  asked:

Oh wow! That must have taken hours! (Well spent!) Did you and Leo ever have heated discussions about Space Heroes and DW? (Like who had control of the TV remote?)

Many many hours, and years. Doctor Who was always on public television on Friday nights way after midnight. They would go through the entire run from 1st doctor to the 7th. Then start all over again.

Leo and I never had those control issues because the shows never came on at the same time. I was always up really really late to watch it. I don’t think any of my other brothers were ever interested in it. I originally watched because of the Daleks and the dog K-9.

Red Dwarf was on after that.

And thus began my love of British scifi.

To Point At You

Request: Can you do a Happy imagine to point at you by Justin Moore. Thank You!

(So I decided to make this in Happy point of view)

I’ve always been one of them boys
Rollin’ around in jacked up toys
Making noise on small town Friday nights

I had been a son after I had gotten out of Stockton the first time. Tacoma was my home, but now the same journey continues, but its in Charming. When I patched into Charming, I met y/n. I will never forget that night, she encouraged a side of me that I never knew I had.

Red light running, good time chasing,
Guess I’ve earned this reputation
Probably never shake it but that’s alright

Being called the Tacoma Killer has it’s up’s and downs. People fear me to no extent. But I like it because I don’t have to deal with idiots.

I’ve got a rough side, a wild side
At least a country mile wide
A fightin’ side after a few
If they wanna see my sweet side
My soft side, my best side
I just point at you
Yea, point at you

Y/n has made a soft side to the Tacoma Killer, and no one knew of it, but her. She knows she could get whatever she wants from me.  But after all, she is my princess.

Enjoy!!

The same old parties at the same old places. In the beginning, I loved to party. I used to love coming out with my friends, drinking and dancing till the early morning. I lived for the rush of my first drink of alcohol of the night. The feeling of becoming drunk.  But over time, everything felt like it was just a repeat. Partying felt like such a lackluster anymore. My friends and I would always come to the same houses every Friday and Saturday night, and see the same faces and drink the same drinks.

But no matter how boring partying felt, I still went out with everyone. Thinking that maybe the next party I go to will be different, exciting, and worth going to. Yet I am disappointed every single time.

It was a Friday night and here I am sitting in the basement of our classmate John’s house. He had a reputation for having great party. But honestly, everyone says that simply because he has the most access to alcohol. Nothing ever exciting happens at his parties. I was sitting on the floor with my back against the wall, watching my friends dance with some people I’ve seen at these parties before. It wasn’t even midnight and my friends were already pretty wasted. For the first time in a while at a party, I’m actually fairly sober. I had a few drinks, but I have a pretty high alcohol tolerance.

“Hey sexy lady!” My friend Stella slurs out, taking a break from grinding on guys. “You okay babe? You’re just sitting here not being your drunk little party self.” I laugh, knowing she has the best intentions, but the alcohol taking a toll on how she speaks. I start to stand up.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just going to go out for a quick smoke. I don’t really feel like drinking right now.” I smile at my friend, but she looks disappointed in me. Already knowing what she’s going to say. “Y/N, I thought you were quitting smoking. It’s not good for your lungs!” Stella frowns at me. I kinda giggle, although I know that makes Stella slightly upset at me. “Stella babe, you can’t tell me how bad smoking is when your liver is going to hate you in the morning.” I joke with her, seeing her frown fade to a dim smirk. Before she can say anything else, I grab my bag and head for the upstairs.

Pushing through the many bodies, trying to not get any drinks spilled over me was an absolute struggle. I grab a closed water from the cooler before sliding out to the back porch. A few people were already outside, but not many. Only about five or six people. I take a seat leaning up against the railing of the porch, near the steps that lead to the grassy part of the backyard. Opening my bag to rummage through to find my cigarette pack. Quickly realizing that I am all out of cigarettes. I sigh in defeat. Instead of going back in, I stay where I’m at. I decide that I’ll wait till I see someone else out here smoking to ask for a cigarette. While waiting, I mess with my lighter. Flicking the flame on and off again.

After what must have been around 10 minutes, I finally spot someone out here smoking a cigarette. He wasn’t alone, but he only had one friend around him. Not sure what to do, I wait a few minutes debating if I should wait it out or just go for it. I know having people asking for a cigarette is extremely annoying. But I absolutely felt like I needed it. I get up, and head straight to the smoking boy and his friend. About halfway to him, he realized I was making my way to him and stared at me. As I got closer, I realized that this guy was actually pretty cute.

“I know this is probably really really annoying, but do you think I can bum a cigarette from you?” I shyly ask. Not sure why I suddenly feel nervous about asking. I’ve asked strangers for cigarettes all the time. I guess it’s because once I was standing in front of him, I realized how attractive he really is. The boy and his friend both smiled at me as I await my answer.

“What’s a pretty girl like you smoking a death stick for?” The stranger asks me, cracking a sly smile, chuckling at his joke. Feeling my face redden from the flattery.

“I could ask the same of you.” I crack back at him. “So, is that a yes?”

He hesitates, his friend watching him intently for his next move. A part of me feels like he’s going to say no, which will be an absolute bummer. But before I turn to walk away, he grabs his back out of his back pocket.

“Of course you can have one,” He says as he opens the box and starts pulling out a cigarette. “Only if you give me your number.” I giggle at his offering. He holds the cigarette in between in fingers, with anticipation in his eyes.

“I have a better idea. How about I stay and talk to you guys, and then I give you my number.” I suggest, hoping he wants me to stick around just as much as I hope for. “Deal. By the way, my names Calum. This is my mate Michael.” Handing me the cigarette. “I’m Y/N. Thank you so much for the cigarette.” I rush to light the stick, and hold in the smoke. Feeling it through my lungs, feeling less antsy as I originally was. I pull it away from my mouth and exhale the smoke. Sighing in relief. I grab a nearby chair, sitting with my new acquaintances.

“So how come you’re out here all alone?” Michael speaks up.

“Ah so you do talk,” I joke with him. Calum and Michael both laughing at what I say. “My friends are in there dancing and having a blast. I needed a smoke, and being the only one in my friend group that does, I left to do so.”

“That’s why you gotta force a friend to come out for support. Which is why Michael is out here with me.” Calum admits, patting his friend on the back. Michael winks at Calum jokingly. “Well, since you have a new friend that does smoke, I’m going to go back in and continue to party.” Michael tells us, while going to stand. “Make sure you don’t get too crazy Michael, we do have our own house party to have tomorrow and it would be great if you weren’t too hungover to do anything.” Calum shot at Michael. Resulting in him rolling his eyes at his friend acting like a parent to him. Calum laugh, and I watched Michael flip him off and head to the inside. Disappearing into the crowd of people.

Calum tells me about himself, and I do the same. I discovered we go to the same school, although we don’t have any classes together, we do have the same lunch period. He tells me about his sister, and tells me a bit more about his friend Michael. I notice random things about him. I noticed that he has really nice biceps, and a soft smile. I noticed his fingers and how they were rough at the tip. I sat in admiration of my new friend, that I almost didn’t realize Stella texted me.

Stella: Hey it’s getting pretty late and if you’re still sober, can you take us home? Cassie wants to get home before her parents are awake. We’re not in a super rush, probably about five to ten more minutes.

I sigh. Not wanting the night to end, but realizing it must. Knowing it’ll take forever to get all the drunk girls together, I decide to probably fine my friends now.

“I gotta drive my friends home. I’ll see you around at school.” I tell Calum, Calum jokingly making a sad face to me.

“Oh wait, you gotta put your number in my phone. And I can text you the details of the party. There’s not going to be a lot of people and there won’t be alcohol, but I really want you to be there. It was really nice talking to you, Y/N.” Calum hands me his phone so I can put my number in it. I smile at the boy, handing his phone. “Thanks, and here. Have the rest of my pack. I shouldn’t be giving you these death sticks, but that’d be hypocritical of me, wouldn’t it?” Right as I grab the pack, I feel a tug on my arm. I turn to see Stella holding up Cassie with the help of Jenny. I wave bye to Calum and help my friends to the car.

Cassie and Jenny get situated in the backseat, and Stella sat in the passenger seat.

“So who was that, Y/N?” Stella asks suspiciously, but in a caring friend way. I smile at her, slightly blushing.

“Just someone who gave me a death stick.”

Every Friday night, we sit in too cold living rooms and crack open the same warm beer. We’ve run out of things to talk about, so we keep repeating the complaints we’ve all memorized. It’s always, I hate my job, I hate this weather, I’m out of money again. Our shoes have holes in them, so we drink extra in the winter when we know we’ll have to be outside. We only invite people we’ve known for years to parties we throw and huddle in our familiar circle when we go to bars. We’ve gotten so used to spitting out the same spiels to each other that we are terrified of genuinely interacting with anyone else. When we’re drunk enough, we talk about leaving, because we need to be reminded that we still can.

Some summer nights the air is warm enough, the sky pink enough, and the fire loud enough for us to swallow the ache in our stomachs. We open each others’ drinks and sing together loudly, and pretend we will feel this way forever.

Years later, some of us are still living this scene. They scratch their mosquito bites and try to pick out someone they have not kissed from those knee-deep in the lake beside them.

It’s not that they don’t want to go. It’s just, if you talk about something for long enough and don’t do it, it begins to feel impossible. Leaving becomes less of a realistic option and more of a story passed around the fire.

My  Best Friend

Part 1

(Taehyung x Reader)

Friday. My favorite day of the week. Today was the day I always went over to my best friend Taehyung’s house to spend the night and have a movie marathon. I had been friends with Taehyung for years. Since kindergarten even, and let me just say; he hasn’t changed a bit. He’s still the same old, cheesy, fun-loving, hyper and energetic guy I know… only now he looked like a man. An incredibly attractive man who I was proud to say was my best friend. I had no problem admitting he was attractive. And neither did almost all the girls at our school. He had become the playboy at the school, minus the douchey rude part. He was an incredibly good guy and I didn’t blame all the girls for liking him. He had all the moves… all the looks… and all the personality of a great guy.

First Impressions

Co-Star AU. Emma Swan is the star of the hottest show on TV, The Analyser. She’s professional, polished, poised… But there is something about that damn Killian Jones that gets right under her skin. (Title shamelessly borrowed from Jane Austen)

(All mistakes my own, un-beta’d!)

Also on AO3/FF.NET (Best to read here - the formatting on Tumblr gets messed up!)

Tired and aching after another long night shooting on the cold New York streets, Emma Swan was ready for a hot bath and a warm bed. Friday night shooting always wiped her out. It was always the same when a script required long scenes at night outdoors. But she couldn’t complain, she loved her job. The Analyser was the number one rated show on Wednesday nights and even now in its fourth season it showed no signs of stopping.

Wearily, she locked her door and kicked off her flats. She was just about to head for the bathroom when the ping of an incoming message made her take out her phone. She smiled in anticipation when she saw the sender - it was from Jerome, the program’s creator and head writer - the contents: the script for the next episode.
