Lapis redesign because I dislike her canon one. Specifically because of the fact she doesn’t really have any shapes that really DEFINE her, like Garnet = Squares, Amethyst = Circles, Peridot = Triangles ect, I associated her with a water drop shape cause…. y’know w a t e r.
Also got rid of the horrid neon blue colors and gave her speckles of yellow, like the ACTUAL LAPIS LAZULI GEM HAS. Why didn’t she have any sort of yellow incorporated into her design in the first place.
Yes, I’m that annoying girl who takes gym selfies and then whistles and pretends to play on her phone whenever someone passes by. Also, someone needs to teach me not to make such awkward faces when taking these selfies. In other news, at least it’s Friday! I notice that most of the serious weight lifters are at my gym in the morning at the same time I go–butt crack of dawn. I’ve never really been intimidated and they always smile and say hello, especially if we need to switch benches or bells. I can tell they’re just super nice but focused, of course. Today, one of the women told me, “You know you’re really good, right?”
I think to myself, this stuff never happens in real life, right? “Oh, man. Thank you!”
“I can see you have a great attitude, you’re really getting good at this. I see you here almost every morning; just keep coming”
Internally squealing.Then, wouldn’t you believe it? She showed me this awesome new way to do bridges on a resistance ball and I feel it in my glutes about 10x now. I thanked her for the booty gains and the kind words. Holy cannoli, floating on the air this morning! Then, when I walked home–I’m not kidding, at least half a dozen baby bunnies were scampering around me. I feel like a damn Disney princess, you know if she also squats and listens to thrash.
Today, I was able to push a little bit more after establishing a new baseline last week. I’m really liking this new lifting pattern. It’s bringing me to the point of failure with much greater consistency.
