my favorite couple of all time

Someone reuploaded the entire Capsule Monster Coliseum soundtrack! :D This game has one of my favorite OSTs of all time–every song has something different to say or make you feel, ranging from scary to invigorated to feeling awesome! A lot of the songs, as well as the characters they correspond to, helped me when writing stories about said characters ^^

For a couple examples, Pegasus’s first stage is Imperfect Paradise, a classical piece that moves a touch too fast for the type of music it is, reflecting Pegasus’s sense of elegance mixed with off-kilter behavior. Whirlpool of War, the stage selection music, manages to fit every duelist and make the loading screens awesome just by putting the music over it, and Yami Marik’s first stage, Corridors of Madness, is a somber, ominous piece that helped me get into his state of mind when writing about him. I could gush about everyone and everything else but that’d take up too much space XD;

Tell us a crazy story about a customer at the bookstore you (still?) work at.

I do still work at a bookstore! I’m in a position that doesn’t let me interact much with customers, though, SO I’m instead going to tell you about some of my favorite customers from when I used to work at a comic shop, even though that doesn’t really answer your question at all.

1. The lesbian couple who came in the first time looking for Star Trek: TNG action figures for their Star Trek/Oregon Trail crossover dioramas. They had a Bitch Planet themed wedding and later brought my boss some of the leftover non-compliant temporary tattoos they had made for it. They ended up becoming subscribers and had an exclusively female character pull list.
2. The really cute girl who came in once and literally caused me to trip over nothing and nearly take out two free-standing racks of books when I was trying to talk to her. She and her girlfriend later became subscribers, too, and I think her girlfriend could tell that I had a crush on her.
3. The subscriber we had that it turned out went to my alma mater and told me once about the time he had a beer with Trent Reznor behind a club in the ‘90s.
4. The regular whose name I actually never found out, but who gave me a gift card to the movies as a wedding present and told me to go see Doctor Strange. I did not see Doctor Strange, I saw Fantastic Beasts, but I never told him.
5. The dad who came in once with his two young sons looking for newer Captain America comics that were like the ones he’d read as a kid, but nothing too violent. I sold him Captain America: White, and when I showed him the inside and told him that the violence was minimal and typical for the title - i.e., against Nazis - he said, “We’re Jewish, so we’re good with that.”
6. The really hot dad who came in exactly once during my very first week of work, looking for comics he could read with his two young daughters that they could all enjoy, and who inspired @softpunkbucky’s and my extensive and unwritten Hot Dad Bucky AU.

deadpool100000  asked:

Can you do A4 Emerald with B2 Ruby and A1 Velvet (Cyclops bunny!) with D4 Weiss? These are just a couple of my favorite ships as my favorite monsters. PS: I love your art and I do have more ideas for the Monster thing, but I won't request them all at the same time, unless if you want me to.

Weiss is a blue eyes white dragon so that’s a thing

being a cashier is ass but I get to meet some really neat people and one of my all time favorite interactions was with this couple who must have been somewhere in their late forties or fifties who came in relatively late at night and had a very large amount of candy in their purchase

both of them had clearly been having a blast shopping together, and were super friendly to me. the guy made a point of telling me “the candy is for our kids” but he couldn’t say it with a straight face and immediately went and stood behind the woman, looking like he was trying to hide (even though he was about a foot taller than her and much bigger.)

(it was cute shit, is what I’m saying.)

as I was ringing up the rest of their stuff, he leaned over her shoulder and whispered (LOUDLY) “I don’t think she believes it’s for the kids.”

to which she replied, “well, we don’t have kids.”

“shh!”

Ramen hacks 101

Hey does anyone else have a lot of trouble getting out of bed and feeding themselves sometimes? Yeah me too. BUT I’ve basically gotten the cheap, easy, fast ramen thing down to a T by this point and thought I’d share it with you guys. It can be made very easily for any type of diet, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian.

Time: Will vary depending on your ingredients, but at minimum it’ll take about 5-10 minutes.

For just a soup base+noodles, you will need:

  • A package of cheap-ass ramen noodles - throw away the seasoning packet or save it to use with something else. Buy in bulk if you don’t want to go to the store every time you want noodles. If you’re gluten-free, get rice noodles or another gluten-free option.
  • Miso paste - I got mine for about $3, and it lasts for a very long time in the fridge. Pro tip: it’s cheaper at an Asian grocery store or market if you have access to one.
  • Stock cube/paste - around $2 at my local grocery store. I went for low-sodium chicken stock cubes, but you use your preferred type.
  • Water - about 2-3 cups for one portion depending on how big your bowl is. Remember, if you’re adding in extras, the liquid level will rise. I’ve made that mistake way too many times.

If you want extras, some good options to mix and match at your preference/budget/convenience are

Vegetables:

  • Bean sprouts - super cheap at the grocery store. Just throw a handful in and call it a day. I like mine to still be a little crunchy so I do it in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  • Snow peas - ditto to the bean sprouts. Extras can be frozen.
  • Onion - I typically use half or a quarter of a white onion cut into thin slices, and tossed in the broth asap because I like it a bit more tender. Freeze the rest if you’re not going to be using it within the next few days.
  • Green onion/scallions - 1-2 will be good for one portion. Slice in thin disks, or on an angle if you’re fancy. Also you can use both the tops (green) and the bottoms (white), but that’s to your preference. I typically use these as a garnish, but you can add them in whenever you’d like.
  • Bok/pak choi - one of my favorite vegetables in the entire world. It can be found in most grocery stores nowadays, but is much cheaper at an Asian market if you have access to one. Cut off the very bottom part and then cut the pieces in half length-wise. Throw them in at the beginning if you like them softer, or in the last 3 minutes if you still want them a bit crunchy.
  • Spinach - just chuck in a handful whenever. Spinach can also be used frozen and is often cheaper to either buy it already frozen, or buy fresh in bulk and store it in your freezer to have forever. Get those vitamins!
  • Shredded carrot - you may not have the time/energy to shred carrots. Buy the pre-shredded kind and freeze whatever you have left over.
  • Corn - use frozen.
  • Mushrooms - slice thinly or buy pre-sliced. Add to broth toward the beginning.

Protein:

  • Tofu - silken tofu is usually the best option for this, but use whatever it is you have/can afford. Cut into small cubes and add whenever you’d like.
  • Soft-boiled egg - how to boil an egg or whatever your favorite method is.
  • Chicken - use leftover cooked chicken to add to your soup or slice a raw chicken breast thinly and poach it at a gentle simmer in the broth for 7-10 minutes or until it is white and opaque. It does take a little extra time, but you don’t actually have to do anything while it cooks and this will add extra flavor. Pre-marinated chicken is good for this as well (look for “Asian” flavors like soy, sesame, ginger, garlic, chili, etc.). Again, more expensive or time-consuming if you’re marinating it yourself, but it’s up to you.
  • Shrimp - use pre-cooked frozen shrimp to save time and just dump in a handful. Buy the frozen stuff in bulk. Or, like with the chicken, poach raw shrimp in the broth until they are pink and opaque.

Additional flavorings:

  • Garlic - either use a garlic crusher if you have it or just toss in thin slices into the pan with a little bit of veg or sesame oil for about 2 minutes, before you add your liquid. I buy pre-crushed frozen garlic that comes in little cubes and just pop them straight into whatever I’m cooking. There’s also that pre-crushed/chopped garlic in a paste or little jars. The pre-prepared stuff is more expensive than just buying bulbs of garlic BUT it will last you a while and saves a lot of time and energy.
  • Ginger - same as the garlic.
  • Chilis - chopped into thin disks. Take out the seeds and white part inside the chili if you don’t like it too spicy. Add as a garnish or into the broth if you like it a little spicier.
  • Hot sauce - use your favorite brand.
  • Chili oil - I got mine for about $1.50 and it’s a must-have for me in my soup. I drizzle a couple teaspoons on top when my soup is all done.
  • Soy sauce - light or dark soy is fine. Add as much or as little as you like.
  • Sesame oil - this is quite strong, so a little goes a long way. Use about a teaspoon.
  • Fish sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine/mirin/sake - these are great flavors but may be a bit harder to find and tend to be a little more expensive. Use about 1-2 teaspoons if you have it.
  • Cilantro - throw the stalks into your broth and strain them out afterward or just use the leaves as a garnish.
  • Lemon or lime - a squeeze to taste.
  • Sesame seeds - sprinkle on top.

Like I said, all the above ingredients are simply suggestions. It’s up to you to decide what you want, what you have the time and energy for, and what you can afford. This is just to show you the range of options.

Method:

  1. Prep whatever ingredients you’re using (slice/chop/take out of freezer). If you’re not using any, just go to step 2.
  2. Bring 2-3 cups of water to a boil. If you have an electric kettle, this will make the process much quicker.
  3. Add in your stock cube and miso paste and cook for about 2 minutes until they dissolve. You may want to stir a couple times just to help it along.
  4. Add in whatever vegetables/protein/additional flavorings above suit your fancy and cook to your liking.
  5. Add noodles and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Put food in bowl. Don’t worry about making it pretty. Garnish as you like.
  7. Put food in mouth.

Done!

Put any leftover soup you may have into a tupperware or thermos and take it to work/school the next day. Or save it for 3-4 days in the fridge and heat it up when you’re hungry.

Another pro tip: you can make the soup base in bulk and freeze whatever you don’t use. when you want soup but don’t want to go through the whole process again, stick the frozen soup in the microwave/melt in a pot on the stove, bring to a boil, add in your noodles/extras and you’re good to go.

Enjoy!

One of my favorite memories of human kindness was when I was at an all-day concert with my dad that was leading up to Linkin Park at the very end of the night. we had shitty seats, the ones that aren’t even really seats, but more like you just sit on a lawn behind where the seats are. I was about 12 or 13 at the time.

just as Linkin Park was going on, an older couple that was leaving early asked us if we were staying to see them and gave us their tickets, which were like 4th row, way up close to the stage. I was so fucking enthralled and they were just about to play Faint. They were so good live. It was and is, still to this day, the best concert experience I’ve ever had.

Chester was my fuckin dude and I’m really gonna miss him.

Notable Guests and Incidents From my Career at Chick-Fil-A
  • Elderly woman in the drive thru that insisted her meal should be free because the total cost was the same as her birth year.
  • Obligatory group of shirtless frat boys.
  • Guy who pulled me aside and demanded to know if we wash our floors with grease because the (freshly mopped) bathroom floor was slippery.
  • Soccer mom that intentionally poured a large strawberry milkshake onto her son’s head as punishment. She asked for a new one.
  • Kid that stood on a table and sung Let It Go uninterrupted from start to finish. She received a standing ovation from everyone in the restaurant.
  • Teenage girl that paid for a to-go order, about $45 total, entirely in singles.
  • College-age girl that asked if it was true that we were handing out free sandwiches to gays and, if so, if she could have one. I told her we weren’t doing that promotion at our location, but I’d buy her a sandwich if she gave me her number. She politely declined.
  • Prank caller asking if we wanted to buy weed. The manager replied by saying we had a guy that sold to us for 10$/quarter and to call back when he could match that
  • Multiple instances of kids pooping in the playplace.
  • Another prank caller asking if we sold burgers. The manager (a different one) told them there was a Five Guys across the street, so why on earth bother looking for a burger here anyway?
  • That time Arthur Darville came in.
  • Drive thru guest who regularly asks, very specifically, for “coke zero, NOT diet coke with extra ice’
  • A basketball team from a local high school got banned for using their trays to slide down the slide.
  • This happened to be the same night that the staff all stayed an extra 20 minutes after the doors were locked and took turns using a tray to slide down the slide.
  • Guy with a southern accent that addressed me as “you with the tits,” shoved his sweet tea under my nose for a refill and then, upon noticing my murderous expression, said, “Service with a smile, darlin’,” winked, and walked out.
  • Woman who told me in a watery voice, upon observing my name tag, that her recently deceased daughter’s name was Emily too. She comes back and chats with me occasionally.
  • My coworker, Tyquan once finished his conversation with the guests by saying “Love, Peace, and Chicken Grease!” It is now a meme and basically all of our customers know him.
  • That time I was explaining to one of the girls what Rocky Horror Picture Show was and this elderly couple leaned across the counter with wide eyes and exclaimed “You’ve never heard of Rocky Horror!?” And proceeded to yell their favorite audience participation lines.
  • Guy who’s on the security staff of a local college frequently comes through the drive thru on his segway. We are all on a first name basis with him.
  • A skinny fuckboy who consistently, for over two years, has always come in wearing a trilby, carrying a copy of hamlet, and ordering “Coca-Cola” instead of coke.
  • Some redneck-type guy with no front teeth that asked me if almost everybody on the staff is “saved” (they are.) He then asked me how old I was and if I was a nice Christian gal (I’m not).
  • Guy who geek-checked me for my Keyblade necklace. He didn’t play the spinoffs.
  • I went into the low fridge one day and the stack of juice boxes had toppled over, basically burying everything else. I asked the manager what happened, and he looked at me dead in the face and said “it was an appleanche.”
  • Stoners calling to ask if we delivered.
  • Guy who said, in a deadass tone: “If you guys call it Chick-Fil-A because the staff is all chicks why don’t y’all wear more revealing shirts?” And I honestly didn’t even know what to do because a) our staff is not all women and b) Sir do you realize that this is a heavily Christian establishment I mean christ.
  • Unknown guest who left me several napkins with pictures drawn on them, labelled “tip.” To date it is the third tip I’ve ever gotten and by far the best.
  • That time we traded four large strip trays for eight cases of White Castle.
  • Woman in the drive thru that demanded to speak with the owner because we told her that she could not get six large cups of ice for free and would have to pay for a bag of ice instead.
  • Guy in a full replica batman cosplay. He came in, walked around, took some pictures with people, and left.
  • There was a baby boomer that screamed literally right in my face because his nuggets were cold. I had shit to do though and his breath with nasty so after six whole minutes of this (I timed it) I burst into tears and told him it was just my first day. Later the manager told me that she saw the whole thing and that she almost peed herself from laughing so hard and that I wasn’t allowed to do that anymore.

And finally…

  • Prank caller asking if we could do a birthday party for 52 lesbians.

DEFENDERS!  A humble pitch!

Readers and retailers!  We will be doing some serious press in a couple of weeks but as you will start placing your orders soon and I wanted to give you the hard sell on DEFENDERS.

This is a book we are very excited about. For those you don’t know we are  launching an all new DEFENDERS in June. It is all new material written by myself and drawn by my iron Man and Civil War collaborators @davidmarquez and the amazing @jpocolors

my history with these characters is, let’s say, pronounced. First of all, some of you know that I’m one of the creators of Jessica Jones. Doesn’t get more intimate than that.

The second season of the show is filming now. Since her TV debut she has become a worldwide media sensation. It still stuns me to this day.

For those who have not been reading the new Jessica Jones series, things are very different for her and Luke. Their relationship will be the cornerstone of Defenders just as it was sometimes back in New Avengers.

In fact, let’s talk about NEW AVENGERS. where i staked my reputation and put Luke Cage right front and center

if there was a major marvel event, I tried to make sure Mr. Cage, for the first time in his long history, had something to say about it

CIVIL WAR 1

SECRET INVASION

Plus, I was writing Alias, Daredevil and two Avengers books simultaneously and it created a situation where I could develop the relationship between Jessica Jones and Luke Cage into something very real…

And I love Daredevil so much. I have missed writing him.

And returning to the character under this decidedly different scenario has been very fulfilling creatively.

When I was writing all these characters previously, I initially steered clear of Iron Fist because he was being written by two really good friends of mine Matt Fraction and Ed Brubaker in the seminal run with David Aja.

 but once he became available…

we even found a cool way to connect the iron fist saga to the Phoenix saga

we introduced the white costume which is the best costume!

when I was done with avengers I was already preparing this book.  I was.  I pitched it publicly in on my last page…

and then something happened…

They all became big ass tv stars!

And all those who spent the aughts MOCKING me for a Luke cage ‘crush’… were silenced!! as I was proven right!! again! :-)

And now finally the stars align for us to make this very special new book. Our goal is to create a brand-new, very dangerous, very exciting tapestry for the  street-level comics. All of which will be centered around these four amazing characters but almost every single character you can think of that would fit in the mean streets of marvel will feature in this book.

They will be threatened by new players, new threats, old scores, and new rules.

 issue three? The punisher

here is an exclusive look at some of issue number one, two, and the ALL NEW free comic book day story that sets everything up in the Guardians FCBD issue available at all participating comic book stores all over the country on free comic book day May 5

these are not in any sequential order, but check this out…

That’s my pitch! People always ask me what they can do to support their favorite comics… go to your local store and preorder.

That means the store will set one aside for you and that means we will set one aside for the store.

See you for free comic book day they where many of you are going to be shocked by what you find in that story… and then just a couple weeks later defenders number one and the all-new chapter for these characters that you and I love so much

bonus item, the Neal Adams. Cover for number one

remember that time comics legend Neal Adams drew Jessica Jones? :)

10 of my favorite Korean drama couples

Roses are red, Violets are blue, Valentine’s day is coming up, so here are my 10 favorite Korean drama couples. (in no particular order)

Hong Nan Hee & Byung Hyung Tae - 9 Ends 2 Outs

If I had to choose my favorite couple of all time, Nan He and Hyung Tae would take the title. These two best friends turned lovers are still making my heart pound whenever I watch 9 Ends 2 Outs. Their knowledge and understanding of one another, as well as their constant need to protect each other was wonderfully portrayed. And Soo Ae’s chemistry with Lee Jung Jin was so on point I wondered if they didn’t date in real life.

Ban Ji Yoon & Yoon Dong Ha - A Witch’s Romance

Noona Romance are not new in kdramas but this one is probably my favorite. It was heartbreaking to watch Ban Ji Yoon fight her feelings for Dong Ha because of their 14-year old gap, but the mature take on the subject made it worth it. Plus, their kiss scenes were just too hot.

Na Bong Sun & Kang Sun Woo - Oh My Ghost

These two are just too cute. Introvert Bong Sun and top chef Sun Woo didn’t look like they were ever going to fall in love but thankfully our ghost Soon Ae helped a little. I particularly love how Sun Woo just can’t resist Na Bong cuteness.

Kim Bok Joo & Jung Joon Hyung - Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok Joo

A fan favorite and probably the best couple of 2016, Bok Joo and Joon Hyung have brought to light a realistic portrayal of a couple and their relationship. From strangers, to friends, to lovers they’ve showed us how a relation based on respect, communication and trust can work.

Cheon Song Yi & Do Min Joon - You Who Came From The Stars

If these two aren’t the definition of opposites that attracts I don’t know who could be. Using one of my favorite trope, neighbors/cohabitation, Cheon Song Yi and Do Min Joon’ love story was stellar.

Choi Hee Jin & Kim Bong Do - Queen In Hyun’s Man

Another opposite attracts kind of story, Choi Hee Jin and Kim Bong Do made my heart pound and break and pound again. The idea that love is timeless and that 400 years of distance is not such an issue was one of my favorites out of all the love stories.

Yoon Myeong Joo & Seo Dae Young - Descendants of the Sun

Set in the military, the obstacle they faced wasn’t just your usual parents disapproval. Seo Dae Young’ struggle to follow orders while trying to keep Yoon Myeong Joo from hurting was heart wrenching. But it’s Yoon Myeong Joo’ stubbornness that made this couple so lovable. This and their beautiful theme song.

Jang Dan Bi & Lee Do - Splash Splash Love

It was only two episodes but these two gave me feelings that some couples haven’t been able to do in 20 episodes. Their love story was short lived but so sweet that it will be remembered for eternity.

Grim Reaper & Sunny - Goblin

Definitely the couple with the most painful story on this list, Wang Yeo and Sunny made cry like a baby. To be exact, it’s the innocent and slow approach this couple took only to find out the ugly truth that made cry. Like hurting in one life is already awful but can you imagine it being your destiny? Granted their reincarnation did get a happily ever after but it wasn’t the same.

Go Eun Chan & Choi Han Gyeol - Coffee Prince

I love these two because not only did they do the romance but they also did the bromance. Their love story was really one that transcended genders, which was quite a feature for Korean drama. Han Gyeol struggle to understand his feelings for Eun Chan, followed by his acceptance of the situation gave me so many feelings.

One thing all these couple have in common is how much they loved each other, they might not have made the best decisions all the time but their love is so big that it blinded me several times.

On this note, I wish you all a Happy Valentine’s Day whether you are in a relationship or single. For those of you who are in relationship, enjoy your time with your significant other. For those you who are single (like me) don’t feel desperate and just enjoy the day with yourself or your friends. Finally for those of you who don’t celebrate/care about Valentine’s Day…have a wonderful tuesday :)

Gakuen Bungou Stray Dogs - Translations!! Part ONE

The Arrangement (pt 6)

A/N: OKIE IM SUPER PROUD OF THIS PART JUST FYI SO PLS LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK THAT WOULD BE GREAT. Also, this was way too fluffy for me, so prepare for the angst in the future parts muwahah.

The next day, you woke up in a daze. You were kind of surprised when you woke up in a different room, but remembered exactly what happened and calmed down a little. You saw Jimin sleeping in a somewhat awkward position on the sofa. The blanket was slowly falling off of him, so you got up and placed the blanket higher up his body. He always seemed peaceful when he was asleep, you thought.

You realized it was pretty early in the morning, so you decided to make a nice breakfast. You showered real quick, silently admiring the size of the bathroom. You reached for your shampoo, which was placed neatly next to Jimin’s. It was weird seeing all your things next to his. But you were happy still to see this part of his life, no matter how small it might have been. Subconsciously you started to hum to a song, forgetting that your husband was still outside.

Jimin awoke the second you had fixed the blanket on him. You didn’t have to do it, but you still did, making him smile as you turned away. He was always a light sleeper and the couch didn’t exactly provide the best sleeping conditions either. Oh, how he missed his bed. Once he heard the shower turn on, he looked at the time and realized it was still quiet early in the morning. He didn’t know what to do. So, he chose to scroll through his phone. Then, he heard it.

He thought he was mistaken at first. He could hear a faint hum coming from the bathroom, and it was…heavenly. Usually, Jimin woke up in silence, got ready in silence, ate in silence, and left in silence. But his morning routine was now already filled with sweet sounds.

You quickly finished your shower, hoping that Jimin didn’t wake up anytime soon. You carelessly picked out a simple outfit to change into so that you could make breakfast and then get ready into your work clothes later. For such a smart woman, you were pretty dumb sometimes. Because today, you threw on whatever came to your hands first. You wore a black bra with a thin white shirt and some leggings. The shirt hung loose on your shoulders and the wetness from your hair didn’t help your situation either. Without even taking second glance at the mirror, you exited the bathroom, only to find Jimin staring right in your direction.

As soon as you exited, Jimin turned to face you, only to turn wide-eyed. You rarely ever wore comfortable clothing around him. Hell, the only comfortable clothing he ever saw you in was that small purple night dress you wore. But this, this was new. And he had to had force himself to look away, but the image was practically burned into his head. The leggings showcased your legs perfectly and the way the shirt hung on your shoulders didn’t leave much to the imagination. And the way you looked with messy wet hair, oh my.  You jumped black slightly when you saw that Jimin was awake.

“Uh, I’ll go make some breakfast..” you said, awkwardly.

“Uhm.. ok. But uh..your shirt is kinda…kinda…” Jimin started as he pointed to your shirt.

You looked down and to your horror, you could see your bra almost perfectly through the shirt. “Oh my god!” you exclaimed as you hugged yourself. How embarrassing, you thought.

You ran back inside the room to change into something far thicker. Jimin just sat and laughed at your cute antics.

You came back out with a black shirt and tried to quickly leave the room before you died of embarrassment. Jimin took this has his chance to get ready. However to your surprise, you found Jimin’s parents awake and sitting in the living room, enjoying their morning cup of coffee.

Lance and Keith are dating and sometimes bicker but one day it turns out into an almost real fight and Keith goes to push him( they were training before they were fighting and they’re in the training room) and as he does Lance just stumbles back. He bites back with angry words and Says something bad (dunno what) and Keith just swings at him. He stops immediately as he sees Lance flinch inwardly, eyes shutting and body stiffening, like he’s used to being hit.

Yup. Can do. Honestly it’s one of my favorites that I’ve come up with. I love langst. It’ll be kind of tooth rotting fluff after all the langst. (This’ll take after Shiro was gone but they got him back. But the stress from the incident not gone yet)

-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Lance didn’t know what had started the “argument”, all he knew was that he was pissed. Keith just had to run his mouth all the damn time. All the time. Even if Lance was doing his best to be useful to his boyfriend and his team. They had been doing great as a couple so far. But the stress from being cooped up for so long making everyone grumpy.

“No wonder you’re so fucking useless all the time,” Keith remarked, pushing Lance by his shoulders since he was so close and it made Keith angrier. Keith really didn’t mean it, but Lance was just so frustrating. So full of himself but he couldn’t do one simple thing right at times. He loved Lance, but the things he used to find endearing were starting to frustrate him more and more.

Lance felt his heart crack at the comment, biting the inside of his cheek. The metallic taste of blood coating his tongue as he bit into it harder. He pushed Keith back, anger covering his usually happy go lucky features that were on his face. “Maybe if you weren’t such a hot head then maybe you could actually have protected Shiro when he disappeared,” he growled back, it was a low blow. Lance knew that.

Keith’s eyes darkened and his mouth thinned into a straight line. Lance’s stomach dropped as he saw the look on his face. He had seen it so many times. On his ex’s faces and his parents faces as he told them he was Bi before he left for the Garrison. His heart’s pace picked up as adrenaline flushed throughout his body.

Keith was seeing red by now, Lance knew he hated what had happened. Then he had to bring it up, especially right now. A small growl rumbled In his chest as his body moved on its own. He swung straight for Lance.

Lance saw how Keith’s muscles contracted and his glare seemed to tear deep into his heart. As he saw the punch coming he prepared himself like he used to. His old habit of flinching and seizing up whenever someone moved too fast towards him or lashed out their arms quickly. His scrunched his face up and his body stiffened as his breathing quickened. He was waiting for it. The similar feeling of pain flashing against his skin and sending him tumbling backwards and tears rising up to his eyes. Though it never came.

Slowly he opened his eyes to see Keith’s fist stopped an inch or so away from his face. His eyes wide in obvious surprise and realization as to what Lance’s reaction was. Lance deflated, not wanting to spill about his past. He couldn’t, especially not with Keith. Keith who “hated him” at times.

Keith was surprised by Lance’s reaction. It was terrifying. Realization sunk into his gut and tightened his chest as he knew that Lance would have never reacted that quickly if he hadn’t seen that scenario before many times. His hand uncle cues from the tight fist he had it in and he slowly relaxed. Worry bubbling up his theist as he looked at Lance, who was looking at Keith with the most terrified look. That look stung Keith’s heart and could probably end even the worst battles.

Lance was shaking, afraid of Keith. Afraid of what Keith was going to do. “Oh my god… Lance..” he whispered and looked at him sadly. Slowly he carefully gathered a shaking Lance up into his arms. “I’m so sorry. Lance. Baby..” he whispered. Lance let out a choked sob as tears gathered in his eyes. He didn’t have to explain to Keith of what had happened in his past because Keith knew his reaction from experience.

Had Keith actually hit him, Lance wasn’t sure what would’ve happened. He had a feeling he would’ve returned to covering up everything with his usual facade of a happy go lucky boy. Keith’s heart shattered at the sobs that escaped Lance’s lips. “I’m so sorry Lance,” he was sorry for what had happened in the past and what he had been prepared to do at the time.

I’ve been back a couple times since then. I didn’t look you up cause some trains you cant catch again, you gotta leave it as it was. But when you think Tim McGraw, I hope think my favorite song. The one we danced to all night long. The moon like a spot light on the lake. When you think happiness I hope you think that little black dress, the one you said you always like best. And my old faded blue jeans, when you think Tim McGraw, I hope you think me.
