Wandering Gourds. These wandering wobbly weirdos are fungal fruiting bodies that inexplicably contain human genes. They amble about dropping sticky packets of spores until whatever energy they use for motion is depleted. It believed they develop like other fungi from mycelia, however no developing fruiting bodies still attached to a mycelium have ever been discovered, so the true nature of it’s development is unknown.
The spores have never been known to inoculate any medium, so it’s preferred growth media is unknown. The spore packets have no effect of tissue, however if they contact animal tissue they cause burning rash and sometimes tissue necrosis, therefore flesh of the Wandering Gourd is therefore deemed inedible.
