Damian McGinty singing Little Things will always get me right in the feels.

Damian McGinty Christmas Tour: My Experience

It’s been a while since I made one of these, but because last night was so incredible, I figured I should talk about it!

SOOOO we started off with a Q&A. Damian answered questions about his upcoming music, working with Cory Monteith, his nephew, and his hatred for Nicholas Cage (lol). He told a story how Seana gave him a pillow with shirtless Nicholas Cage on it and he HATED it. He also said that his music video will be coming out for sure this week (I know the actual date, but idk if he wants it to be a surprise or not so I’m not gonna say anything teehee) and then we get to the meet and greet part. He remembered me yet again and we took a silly picture because I had taken more serious ones with him before. He’s the greatest. Then as I was sitting down, Anna Claire came up to me and was like “You’re Brenna, right?” and I was SHOCKED because I couldn’t believe that she remembered me. She’s such a doll. We talked for a little bit and then I got a picture with her.

Finally the show started. He started off with some songs from the album and even did his own version of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” which was beautiful. After that, Anna Claire came out to sing with him! They sand “Last Christmas” and “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and they were sososo cute and Damian kept giving her kisses on the cheek and it was adorable. She sounded excellent! Then she left and Damo sang some original songs, which I cannot WAIT to hear on his new album. Seriously. Each song was magical and unique and I loved them all. He even sang a little bit of Niall Horan’s “This Town” which was awesome. Finally, he closed with a couple more Christmas songs and ended the show with “O Holy Night.” It was a wonderful show. Everything about it was perfect and it was very intimate, which I liked a lot. As I was leaving, I saw the rest of Damian’s friends including Hannah from the Glee Project! OMG! I was so excited to see her there and it made me feel good that her and Damian still keep in touch. I said one final goodbye to Anna Claire and told her that she did an incredible job. Then I made my way home.

Overall, it was a wonderful night! I am so glad that I got to attend and I cannot wait to attend more of Damian’s shows in the future :)
