anonymous asked:

what would being the band members dance partner be like?? How do they dance/ what type of music would they want to dance to n stuff??

Murdoc Niccals:

Murdoc would dance to old rock and roll, with lots of headbanging and grinding. He’d appreciate a dance partner who’s not afraid to get a little dirty. A lot of touching is obviously involved.

Stu Pot (2D):

Stu likes dance hall/ electronica kind of stuff and a lot of new wave, so he’d probably do more of just nodding and swaying to the music than dancing. He’d like a dance partner that can enjoy a relaxed sort of movement and maybe the occasional close contact. He’d like to sway with you, hands on your hips and kissing you to the music.

Russel Hobbs:

Russel may be a big guy but he can get down. Russel is a real Hip Hop guy, so anyone that can bust a move is impressive to him. He’d like to dance with a partner who can move their hips, and really move with the music.

Noodle:

Noodle is a bit of a mixture of her adoptive dads. She can headbang, or she can club it up. She needs a dance partner who would be flexible to her changing styles. She also listens to very upbeat tunes, so her dancing is very energetic. She’d need someone to keep up with her go go attitude!

  • The fashion couple. We all know how Jiyong loves his fashion even though it’s a bit questionable at times. He’d love to buy you clothes and the two of you would look amazing together.
  • Trendsetter! Expect what the two of you are wearing to be in a magazine the next week.
  • You’d be his muse. You’d inspire him to create all kinds of music. You may even inspire a design for one of his tattoo’s.
  • He’d love to give you back hugs and neck kisses, moving your hair away so he can pepper them all along your neckline.
  • Sweet little whispers too and even little ear nibbles.
  • He loves subtle touches, is what I’m saying.
  • He’d love to take you out on dates, fancy dates, relaxed dates whatever you wanted he’d do it for you.
  • He’d be super playful and adorable, okay? He is an angel and tease you playfully.
  • Laughs, all the cute laughs. You know that laugh he does when he’s super shy and he hides behind his hand? Yes, that one. Super cute.
  • Wrapping his hand around your waist and pulling you in close as the two of you hurried away from the paparazzi.
  • Silly and cute selcas.
  • Spontaneous! He’d want to do edgy, kind of cool spontaneous things every now and then.
  • He’s not afraid to try new things.
  • He is so sweet to you. He always gives you his brightest smile. He is such a soft sweetheart.
  • “Did you sleep well last night, y/n?”
  • He is super humble. He gives this image off as a guy with a big ego but GD is very kind and thoughtful and would do the world for you.
  • Sometimes he can seem a little distant and stressed out and that’s when he gets a little dark and moody.
  • He’d want to be by your side, constantly touching you, feeling you just to know that you’re there.
  • You’d be a pretty great stress reliever for him, your presence making him feel a lot better.
  • He’d love to kiss you. The boy could get drunk off of your kisses. Cheesy, I know.
  • He’d love to do all kinds of things in bed, you feel me fam?
  • Oh dang, sex toys okay, let’s go son.
  • He’d love pleasuring you and having control.
  • “Do you like that, baby girl?”
  • Cuddles, many cuddles, lazy cuddles, sexy cuddles. The two of you just relaxing in bed being completely comfortable with each other.
  • Romantic as fuck, right?
  • Jiyong is a lovely person, love him at all costs.

Today’s song recommendation is;

  • Artist: Linkin Park
  • Song Title: In The End
  • Album Title: Hybrid Theory (2000)
  • A/N: You guys probably heard the news by now but yes, Linkin Park’s frontman, Chester Bennington, has passed away. I don’t know how many of my followers of mine are fans of Linkin Park but I myself love their music. I may not be the biggest fan of theirs but their music have definitely played a role in my childhood and ultimately, my life. ‘In The End’ is probably the first Linkin Park song that I listened to. I remember my older brother being a huge fan of this song at the time and because I wanted to be more closer to him, I ended up listening to the song a lot more and ended up liking it a lot. Like I said, Linking Park’s music played a role in my childhood and that was bringing me and my brother ((who is 6 years older than me)) closer. I owe them for that and because of the fond memory, Chester’s death hits closer to home for me. It’s kinda like hearing someone in your family passing. It’s devastating and it’s unbelievable but it’s as real as it can get. A more painful part of his death is that it may be caused by depression and that makes it harder to swallow. I’m not gonna go too deep about the issue but I just want to put this out there; if any of you guys reading this are going through something, seek help. It’s not a coward move and you’re not wrong to want to get better. If you need someone to talk to, don’t be afraid to find that someone. In fact, I too will try my best to lend an ear. And for those who are at the opposite side of the spectrum, don’t be afraid to ask someone how they’re doing and what’s going with their life. Don’t just worry from afar and not approach them. Also, I feel like this goes without saying, let’s get rid of the stigma that’s associated with depression, suicidal thoughts and mental health in general. We need to talk about this and by that, I mean without the negative bias. We need to do something.

"Who cares if one more light goes out in the sky of a million stars? … I do."

I lost my hero today. I feel like I’ve lost a part of my soul.

I was 14 when I first found out about Linkin Park. They were the first band I fell in love with that weren’t from my country yet made me feel like I needed to go through all their records. And so I did. Chester’s voice represented so much that I could not put in words. But I needed to understand his words too. Without the translations. This made me pay attention to my English classes. I owe my first attempts of learning how to speak English to him and his band.

I have turned to Linkin Park’s music for every emotion I have ever felt. Their music has touched me. Chester’s powerful voice has guided me through hard times and it was with me when I was feeling on top of the world too.

Chester was my first music idol. I literally grew up listening to Linkin Park.

It’s devastating how one can save millions but millions can not save the one. You’re always going to be my legend. You’ve had an impact on millions, Ches. You will live on in your music. May your voice and Linkin Park never leave our hearts 🥀

Rest In Peace, Chester Bennington.

Idfk how Chris brown is trending rn w his bullshit movie cause no matter what Rhianna did or said that bastard physically beat her to hell and back and y'all out here excusing his behavior? Saying it doesn’t matter anymore? This man has abused women numerous times and now that he’s suddenly relevant again y'all try to defend him? No matter how good his music may be or whatever, he is a man that beats women and that should be the only thing you consider when you think of him.

Three days after Harry Styles fans hear his highly anticipated debut solo album, they’ll get a deeper look into how the album all came together. Apple Music has all the behind-the-scenes footage Stylers could want in a documentary titled Harry Styles: Behind the Album, premiering May 15.

In addition to clips from Styles recording in the studio, the film will also feature an exclusive interview with Styles himself as well as live footage of Harry’s band performing his album songs for the first time together at Abbey Road. A trailer for the doc shows Styles singing, scuba diving, and yes, even getting his famous locks chopped – oh, and according to a press release, fans will also get to see Mr. Styles in his underwear.

The Singing Revolution

From 1987 to 1991, the people of Estonia fought for their freedom. By singing. Yes, you read that right: crowds of people, hundreds of thousands large, would gather and sing patriotic songs to show their desire for independence. Even the Soviets couldn’t figure out how to arrest them for just…singing. It started spontaneously. Five patriotic Estonian songs were played during the Tartu Pop Music Festival in May 1988, and people linked their hands and started singing along.  In June another music festival decided to play patriotic songs after the official part of the festival. And a movement slowly began to gain momentum.

Unarmed people facing down tanks; people singing forbidden songs under the eyes of Soviet authorities; incredibly clever parliamentary and street theater maneuvers that vexed Moscow at every turn. By the way, one of those parliamentary maneuvers included working within the Soviet system to officially make the hammer and sickle an illegal symbol in Estonia, implemented while still occupied by the Soviet Union! In 1991, Estonia’s legislatures declared a legally an independent country and a last-ditch coup attempt by Soviet hardliners was stopped. The singers had freed themselves.

Dear “grunge” blogs

To make things clear at first, everyone is free to post or reblog anything they want, but there are also some limits to everything you do. Especially when you are taking advantage of somebody’s image to glamorize things that shouldn’t  be glamorized.

To all the

Or the

And the

What you’re doing is not grunge.

First of all, Grunge is a musical genre, a rock music subgenre. It was a musical revolution that happened in the early 90s, led by pure and amazing artists.

Grunge was never about: Tattoos, peircings, polaroids, pastel, fishnet stockings, blood, nudity, self harm, wanting to die, hating your parents, toilets, flowers, abandoned houses, walls with depressing quotes written on them, cigarettes, aliens and all those strange things you like to post

Second of all, stop using Nirvana/Kurt Cobain as your aesthetic. Just stop it. Why are you glamorizing his depression and his drug use? What do you find amusing in the story of a man who suffered a lot and ended up dying of mental illness? Let him rest in peace! Kurt Cobain had some fucking dignity and he didn’t die to have his pictures posted in some blog just because it looks “cool” and “aesthetic” for some edgy teens, or find Nirvana t-shirts, or even worse, his suicide note, worn by some hipster douchebags. He was a great artist and a wonderful human being and that’s how we should remember him.

By using Nirvana/Kurt Cobain as your aesthetics, you are:

  • Making Nirvana seem extremely overrated
  • Making Nirvana seem as the only grunge band to ever exist but in reality there are tons of other bands who definately should be recognized like Alice In Chains, Soudgarden, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, Melvins, Tad and a whole bunch of 90s grunge bands who were great.
  • Making people believe that teens like to “listen” to Nirvana just because it seems cool and not because they are actually a great band.
  • Making people believe that Nirvana songs, or grunge songs in general are only about depression and teen angst
  • Making Kurt Cobain seem as a bad influence since you are only representing him as a self -loathing junkie who loves to whine about his depressing life and just a talentless fashion icon
  • Using Kurt’s image to glamorize drugs and suicide which is disgusting and very disrespectful

So please, stop associating your world with ours. I don’t really care about what you post. If posting the picture of a toilet makes you feel happy and edgy enough, then post the picture of the fucking toilet. But don’t post it under the “grunge” tag, unless you consider the fact that your “grunge icon” Kurt used it, which actually makes sense. Just leave us the REAL grunge fans alone, don’t associate your shit with us, because it’s simply not grunge.

And for anyone who’s reading this, please remember Kurt Cobain for what he truly was. Sure, his addiction and mental illness are a part of him and his image that we can’t deny, but he was also a talented artist, a big music icon and a source of inspiration for several artists. His music may not mean anything for some people, but it saved the lives of other people and changed it for the best. I, as a Nirvana fan, can proudly say that discovering his music was the best thing that happened to me in many ways.  And besides, he was a major supporter for women rights and his quotes are still relevant to this day.

Don’t remember him as the person that “grunge” blogs are presenting, because that person was never the real Kurt Cobain.

KOREAN MUSIC PROGRAMS:

2013 - 2014: NOTHING BUT HOPE

After 2 years of not getting any win, they started to tell each other “Let’s just not expect anything” but deep inside they all dreamed of a win, as V says “To be honest, just because you say “don’t expect anything” doesn’t mean we expect nothing” It was a hard time for both BTS and the fans.

Emo Fandoms rn

Panic! at the Disco: Everyone’s life is good. B is amazing in kinky boots, Ryan is posting, and new music may be coming soon.

Fall Out Boy: You either hate or love MANIA there is no in between.

Paramore: You hate or love After Laughter, also no in between.

Twenty One Pilots: NOBODY IS PREPARED FOR WHAT EVER THE FUCK IS HAPPENING.

My Chemical Romance: We don’t talk about this, just go silently cry in the corner.

Sleeping with Sirens: Kellin is responding to people on twitter and I’m already hooked on Legends. Everyone is just happy we know more than the clique which most of us are a part of…

Pierce the Veil: Honestly Misadventures still has everyone relativley happy and there is a tour happening, so moods are being kept high.

Black Veil Brides: The Outsider made everyone really happy, paitiently awaiting a new song.

Green Day: Revolution Radio has kept may very happy and the American tour is being highly anticipated.

The 1975: Soon we will no longer have them under the current name everyone is preparing to mourn. Besides that nobody has a damn clue what is really going  on in the band especially with Matty.

Andy Black: Everything is good as long as Andy keeps looking and sounding like an angle.

Is any one really happy considering if you like one of these bands you probably like most of the others and we know evryone is most likely in the clique, so it’s ok to be scared and unsure.
