I’m With Her - Ring Them Bells

Ring them bells Sweet Martha for the poor man’s son
Ring them bells so the world will know that God is one
Oh the shepherd is asleep
Where the willows weep
And the mountains are filled with lost sheep
Ring them bells for the blind and the deaf
Ring them bells for all of us who are left
Ring them bells for the chosen few
Who will judge the many when the game is through
Ring them bells for the time that flies
For the child that cries
When innocence dies

Song Review: I’m with Her - “O Holy Night”

If Crosby, Stills & Nash were women and about 40 years younger, they might sound a lot like Aoife O'Donovan, Sarah Jarosz and Sara Watkins.

Known collectively as I’m with Her, the trio of angelic singers have cut a rendition of “O Holy Night.” Recorded live before a roaring fire and featuring Jarosz on fingerpicked electric guitar, the song begins with just Jarosz and O'Donovan’s voices before Watkins joins in to make heavenly three-part harmony.

At two minutes, the hymn is too short. But it’s so stunning, Sound Bites’d swear he saw Ebenezer Scrooge and the Grinch smiling when he played it.

Yes, this is a cover of the Radiohead track. Yes, it is fucking gorgeous. Damn… Sarah Jarosz is not only masterful with her original work, but her covers are amazing.

ps - think that’s The Punch Brothers helping her out, too
