music saves lives

You may see tattoos, piercings, and rebellion, but their fans see acceptance, individuality, and revolution. You hear screaming and insults to your precious society, their fans hear hope and criticism of your distorted society. This is not a genre of hatred and insults, this is a genre of self-love and acceptance. This is punk music.

Met Maria Brink of In This Moment in Bismarck ND. Such an amazing performance nonetheless and such a surreal feeling meeting the lead of the band that saved me. The summer of 2012 was a bad place for a little while and that’s the time I really got into ITM. First experience seeing them in the 5 years I’ve been listening, and there’s not one bad thing I have to say about it.

I got three million kids and they’re crying on my shoulders
The whole wide world covers their ears to the sound
Go and fly your kids first class down to Disney
But ignore that you’re walkin’ on a burial ground
You’d rather wrap your son’s hands ’round the trigger of a pistol
Than catch him in the mirror with a motherfucking lipstick
Crazy white girls say they tryna free the nipple
But they quiet when somebody pulls a gun on a misfit

And for gods sake, press deep enough, about 5cm (1,5-2inches). The muscles are lax, it’s possible.
And if you crack a rib, GO ON.
Happens to all of us (like really, it does).

And if the mouth to mouth doesn’t work properly, GO ON. Don’t try endlessly, circulation is way more important.

But, please, for gods sake, DO IT. Don’t be afraid. Everything is better than nothing.

please share this, add songs, whatever.
