“Noble Daughter of Bretannos”. This shot of Anna Murphy has an interesting story behind it: I’m not used to hold the camera in the air and shoot without looking in the viewfinder or the Live View - I used to shoot with a T3i.

I left @ 70mm and forgot about it. The composition is at the limit, but the expression is priceless. I got lucky with the focus.

Eluveitie @ Teatro Odisseia, 2015.

Here’s my concept for a cartoon that’s basically a mashup of the “magical girls” genre combined with ladies of metal. Clean vocals on the good side, growlers on the bad side, the bad guys want to resurrect all their pagan gods and use them to take over the world. (okay, the division by vocal style doesn’t quite work because I want Anna Murphy to be on the bad guys team.)

Every episode would have a guest appearance by a vocalist from a different band, Sharon den Adel would be a love interest for Tarja, everyone activates their magic powers by singing.

Eluveitie was founded in 2002 as a studio project by Chrigel Glanzman. In the next year, Glanzmann decided to expand the studio project into a “real” band and recruited full time musicians.
Eluveitie plays classic Gothenburg melodic death metal with elements from celtic folk music. The lyrics are inspired by the daily life as well as the spiritual life of the celtic tribe of the Helvetians. Some of the song are written in a reconstructed version of Gaulish, a celtic language that was used to be spoken in some parts of Switzerland.
In 2015, the band experienced a major breakup where 3 of the musicians left the band. While the members were replaced soon after, the three musicians that decided to leave, started their own project called “Cellar Darling”, named after the first solo-album of Anna Murphy, one of the leaving band members
