As much as i do agree with the idea that a tattoo should have meaning, I honestly dislike when individuals judge a tattoo if it doesn’t. In my opinion, tattoos are art and not all art has true meaning. I believe that it is a way of expressing one’s personality, meaning… it does not always have to represent something significant in their life. So, why shouldn’t a person get a tattoo of a flower or a random pattern other than the fact that they thought it would look pretty? How many significant memories do you have to have in order to have a “great” tattoo? I’m more than positive many people will argue, “Because it will be on your body forever”, or “Because you will regret it in the future!”. But people need to take a moment and realize that that person has no affect in their lives. So why should they care since its not their life or body?
