I really, really, really need to see some spring greenery.

EMPTINESS

— voyager mix [part 2 / 3]

“I think perhaps the greatest burden lies in caring for those we cannot help.”

“Not in having no one for whom to care?”

Fraser paused before answering; he might have been weighing the position of the pieces on the table.

“That is emptiness,” he said at last, softly. “But no great burden. ”

Update on your favorite songs/your favorite songs of 2016??

off the top of my head, these are the my top 20 bands/artists I listened to over and over again in 2016. if it’s bold, that means I’ve always listened to them. If it’s italic, it means I just started listening to them in 2016. If it’s both, it means I god damn love them as of last year.

  • My Chemical Romance
  • Glorious Sons
  • Shinedown
  • Seether
  • Blink 182
  • Sum 41
  • Frank Turner
  • Imagine Dragons
  • Twenty One Pilots
  • Mumford & Sons
  • Bastille
  • Disturbed
  • Volbeat
  • The Lumineers
  • K.Flay
  • Billie Elish
  • Halsey
  • Mother Mother
  • July Talk
  • Awolnation

and off the top of my head, these are the top 25 songs that will probably forever make me think of 2016, if it’s bold than it means that either I have been listening to since the beginning of time and/or will forever continue to do so. If it has an asterik, it means it was a request and I owe you my life for requesting it.

  1. Disenchanted - My Chemical Romance
  2. Somewhere in Neverland - All Time Low *
  3. I’ll Follow You - Shinedown
  4. Ocean Eyes - Billie Elish *
  5. Addict With a Pen - Twenty One Pilots *
  6. Violence - Blink 182
  7. Voodoo - Godsmack
  8. We’re All To Blame - Sum 41
  9. The Sound of Silence - Disturbed
  10. Sleep On The Floor - The Lumineers *
  11. The Way I Tend To Be - Frank Turner
  12. Taxi Cab - Twenty One Pilots *
  13. Car Radio - Twenty One Pilots *
  14. Scarecrow - My Chemical Romance
  15. Na Na Na - My Chemical Romance
  16. Blood In The Cut - K.Flay
  17. Unsteady - X Ambassadors
  18. Could Have Been Me - The Struts
  19. If Ever I Stray - Frank Turner
  20. Gasoline - Halsey *
  21. I’d Rather Drown - Set It Off *
  22. Welcome To The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
  23. Twin Skeletons - Fall Out Boy *
  24. Blue - Troye Sivan *
  25. Breezeblocks - Alt J

but when it came down to it and I had to pick my song for 2016, it would be Addict With a Pen by Twenty One Pilots.

during last years Grammys I sent u an ask saying that Kendrick deserved the aoty more than bey and later you replied whom exactly would be her competition this year. clearly they thought Adele deserved it lol what the fuck happened there.

honestly if you look at the last five years of album of the year winners it’s a never-ending parade of racist bullshit, like, adele > beyonce, taylor > kendrick (although i do think 1989 was excellent), beck > beyonce, daft punk > kendrick, fucking mumford & sons’ mediocre second album > channel orange…  none of this is new, the black artists who boycotted the ceremony this year were absolutely right to do so and white artists need to start joining them and boycotting the show and being vocal about it.

i will say another one that really stings especially in hindsight is drake being shut out of aoty in 2013 and 2014 after releasing take care and nothing was the same… i went through a solid six months in late 2013/early 2014 where nothing was the same was quite literally all i listened to and it helped me survive a period of really bleak depression, and it was so frustrating to see this music i loved so much, that had been so vital in keeping me alive, that was so beloved by critics and so successful in other areas - to just see it totally shut out of the major categories, to see hold on we’re going home lose out on nominations for song of the year and record of the year… i remember reading an interview with drake around that time where he said the grammys were begging him to perform hold on we’re going home during the ceremony to boost their ratings despite them having not nominated it for anything, and he was like, fuck that, and he’s been boycotting the ceremony ever since, and just… good on him honestly

anonymous asked:

Hi! How about some headcanons about the Robins as musicians at a Grammy award ceremony?

oh man I don’t watch award shows, I don’t even know what the grammys are like.

dick is a total dancer one, people accuse him of lip syncing all the time. jason’s the ‘sexy’ one and probably is without a shirt more often than not. flips his hair a lot. is always sweaty and out of breath. crowd surfs. Tim and Steph are probably like a super famous duo and are known for love and breakup songs. Damian is either like or a twenty-one pilots or mumford&sons-esque kind of bruh. his songs are always hella emotional, and can either be super sad or super angry. He doesn’t like, dance, but is probably HELLA INTENSE.

FROM EDEN; she is force, and flint; no feeling, has no pity. none.
