All of the curators and causes on Mulu have a story to tell, and we are launching a video series to share these stories with you.

Today we give you an inside look at Holly Robinson Peete and the HollyRod Foundation. Holly is a mother, actress, author and philanthropist who founded the foundation in 1997. To learn about the work they do to help families with Autism and Parkinson’s click to their site here

This weekend Mulu jumped on the LIRR and made the journey from the city out to Southampton Social Club for a day of drinks, music and ping-pong.

We were there to help raise awareness and support NYCLASS, a non-profit which is working to phase out horse drawn carriages in New York City and replace them with electric vintage-replica vehicles.

Between ping-pong games we mingled with guests, listened to fun summer music and sipped on Blueprint cocktails.

We loved hanging out with co-hosts from Quintessentially and Town & Country. Everyone was especially enjoying the new issue of The Quintessentially Magazine. Check out this link for more info!

It was another fun event held by the Southampton Social Club and we were so glad to be a part of it. The weather was perfect, and it was a nice reprieve from the concrete jungle. We can’t wait to go out next time and support another great cause!

While many in New York City chose to head to their rooftops and watch the annual fireworks display over the Hudson River, Mulu went to Maine.

All week we worked out of Beth’s Kitchen Cafe in Bridgton, ME. A blessing of a place with free wifi, great food and an endless supply of coffee.

Beth’s is a great place to hang out, but after we had our fill of coffee, we brought Mulu down to the lake to enjoy time with old and new friends, including some very excitable canines. Charlie and Hank spent each day at the beach serving as improptu lifeguards.

The state is famous for it’s lobster, which is cheap, fresh, and available nearly everywhere. We were able to pick ours up from a local lobsterman; you can find them on Mulu if you happen to be outside of New England.

The perfect drink to go with your lobster is something our friend Julie turned us onto, that she calls “The Julie.” To make it just combine Hendrick’s Gin, soda water, diced/sliced cucumber, and muddled basil. If you are a big fan of ginger, add it into the drink for a bit of spice.

During the week we were able to curate a whole collection of our favorite Fourth of July things on Mulu to share with everyone. Create your own collection for your next vacation and be sure to let us know about it!
