We knew the world would not be the same. A few people cried; most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita; Vishnu takes on his multi-armed form and says, “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.”

Check out these amazing life-sized sculptures by Thomas Kuebler featuring some of film and literature’s most famous faces!
After years of working in the corporate art world of toy design prototypes and bringing robots to life in the animatronics field, Thomas Kuebler opted to explore his full creative potential as a multi-media sculptor. Armed with the tools of his trade, a supportive wife and the odd inhabitants of his own personal fiction, he set forth on a mission to bring the world inside his head to life.
Kuebler’s award-winning silicone character sculptures have exhibited at venues such as The Society of Illustrators, NYC; Galeria Clave, Spain; Copro Nason Gallery, Santa Monica; The Allentown Art Museum, Pennsylvania and The Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio. Other venues include the offices of DC Comics, Guillermo del Toro’s Bleak House and private collections around the world. His sculptures have been featured in Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art, Rue Morgue, and Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, among other publications.
Thomas Kuebler, his wife, and their canine counterparts currently reside in North Carolina.
Anatomy and certain design ideas do not mesh well; I’ve got my work cut out for me in terms of wrapping my head around this multi-armed creature. And I already see problems I need to fix once on the computer.
look man, I’m not generally into female monster designs that are literally just strange skin colour and extra limbs. In fact, I actually dislike the trope but I’m gonna be making exceptions now because Buttwitch
HER SMILE??? IS SO CUTE???
*COVERS FACE IN EMBARASSMENT*
JUST LOOK AT HER
Love this beautiful multi-armed sphinx lady. Also apparently, either her bodysuit morphs along with her or it’s actually not a suit and she’s just naked all this time but with anime anatomy.

So basically this’ll be a Steven Universe thought dump
Why does no one talk about the Lunar Sea Spire from ‘Cheeseburger Backpack’? No one at all is curious about the fact that the gems have the possibility of a unique religion? (the Moon Goddess Statue suggests this slightly due to its name sake of goddess) And all the other things it suggests.
So I was rewatching it while I made an eye-star count and I was noting down intriguing things.
The Sea Spire has a lot of multi armed statues decor and statues, suggesting it is a fusion related place, besides it being a safe haven/oasis for gems on earth. The Moon Goddess Statue has a blue colour scheme, and also has a diamond association due to the diamond in her hand and the bottom of the statue coming into a diamond point. Makes me think she is a depiction of Blue Diamond, which then makes me think that the Diamonds are treated like Goddesses on occasion besides being the overall leaders/superiors. I also entertained a brief thought that the statue was a fusion of 2 or more of the diamonds but I dunno. “Steven this is your heritage” Makes me think more about it, besides it being a gem place, there’s the theory that Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond, and makes me think its linked to that. This also makes me wonder if the Stigma on Fusion happened during the seeding of Earth for new gems, as the Sea Spire was built and is linked to fusion visually.
The whole episode also suggests other things as well (quote: “Garnet if you move to the ceiling and strike this exact spot” (pearl) suggests that Garnet can roof run because the chess piece like hologram does not jump or leap but rather travels across the wall via the bottom/feet of the hologram.) Also another thing from another episode, or rather many episodes, is that quite a few of the gems, perhaps all can water walk. Pearl and Lapis are easy to assume of this capability, but how is Steven standing on the water tower besides Lapis? Though this could be explained away as Lapis solidifying it for him a bit. In ‘Secret Team’ he can walk on water too, alongside Amethyst and Pearl and later Garnet. This could be a trait of the room Pearl is in though. Both times show Steven submerged in the water then on top. It does make me wonder though. It could be that Steven can do it if he wants (or expects it), just as all gems can choose to water walk or swim. However both times could be explained away. Just a thing I was thinking about
Another thought about stuff, someone might have already pointed this out about Amethyst though: Amethyst having long hair like Greg is obvious, but she also has ragged knees on her pants like young Greg had. The stars on the first version of the pants we see are unformed and kinda messy, with a bit out and a single tip splitting into two, possibly representing the disconnect Amethyst feels or how she doesn’t feel like she fits in. The design of course changes with ‘Reformed’ where the stars are whole, maybe she feels she fits in more or something.
Seeing as I did some of a Star Eye Tally: So far out of the first 30 episodes almost only Steven has made the 5 point star eyes, with the single exception being Lars in episode 26. That actually took my by surprise. As for the 4 point star eyes, Steven has made those quite a lot too, with Connie doing so twice in the first 30 episodes, Pearl once, and Greg Universe also twice. Another thing of note is that the amount of stars in Stevens eyes is not limited to one for either the 4 point or 5 point star, although it usually is just the one. They can also vary in size, from mini, medium, to large and taking up the whole iris.
Like I said, thought dump. Also Tumblr I’m a kiwi, colour is spelt this way XD
Malacath: Daedric prince of curses and patron of the Orsimer (Orcs). Was once the Elven hero-god Trinimac, until his defeat at the hands of Boethiah, who transformed him and his followers into the twisted monsters you see today. A cool feature of the orcs I wanted to expand upon with this design was the horns and bone protrusions introduced in their Skyrim incarnations and took it to a new level, so now Malacath has bones growing from his arms, skull and spine to put emphasis his painful, monstrous new form.
Mehrunes Dagon: Daedric prince of destruction and revolt. The big bad behind the Oblivion crisis and the events which lead up to it. Apart from a fair bit of simplification I didn’t to change too much here, the giant, multi-armed 'Darth Maul’ look is a pretty cool one. While it doesn’t show standalone, this guy is huge, which would better across in a character lineup.
Mephala: Daedric prince of secrets, lies and the weaver of fate. This was one of the first designs I did in the series and haven’t changed much since the first sketch. I wanted her to loo like a spider woman without being too grotesque or too human either (also she’d certainly have spiders crawling around her and I think would use them in the same way Odin uses ravens).
