I feel like this is a trap. I’ve got so many people whose lives I love reading about, and I’m bound to forget a few. I’m going to skip the friends in the crushes post you mentioned because you’re undoubtedly already following them now.

In no particular order:

Sunday morning sprint work with this lady. ms-american-dream sent me to the link to some track workouts ( platesandweights & alliegets both mentioned them in their posts this week) so I decided I wanted to give them a try today and Amanda joined me.

Warm up:
Jumping jacks
Squats
Walking quad stretch
High knees
Butt kicks
Worlds greatest stretch

Sprint work:
4 x 50 m (1 min rest between)
3 x 100 m (90 sec rest)
2x 200m (2 min rest)
400 m easy walk
400 m max effort

Arm work:
Tricep dips and push ups on the bleachers: 50 reps of each.

The sprints started off not too bad but once we hit the 200 m ones I was like dang. The 400 m didn’t feel fast but I ran at a good speed the whole time so I’m proud of that. My 400 m was around 2:30 so that’s a good benchmark to improve on. I’m going to try do track workouts once a week at the high school track. Doing the workout at 8am was so smart.

Of course Amanda led us in the arm workouts.

There were 2 older gentlemen who had to be in their 60’s doing some distance running. I’m hoping that’s Amanda and I when we’re that age.

Workout followed by Cracker Barrel and lots of life chats. It was a great start to the week.

I stopped by publix on the way home so the rest of my day is online coursework and food prep. My goal is no Sunday nap but I can’t make any promises.
