ASK ME ANYTHING: creating ‘album artwork’ (click on each image to view a larger version)

As I interviewed a musician, I thought a CD would be a very fitting format to present my project. (Please excuse the colours, for some reason on Preview they look normal - I used much more pastel tones in reality - but on Tumblr they become super bright. I’ll upload pics of the physical CD sleeve later.)
When creating the visuals to accompany the CD I was very inspired by the artwork for his first single ‘Between Friends’ (below) and the photos he puts on his social media (lots of pastels, brights and sunsets). So far, he has never depicted anything figurative on his album artworks, so I decided to keep it abstract.
I included the soundwave of the phone call of our interview, to emphasise the audio format.
The fonts I used are Mrs Eaves and Baron Neue (the words ‘Japanese Wallpaper’ and ‘Intro’), both nice, clean and modern looking san serif fonts in my opinion. I particularly like how the simple addition and manipulation of a few lines in the letters of the Baron Neue font create a futuristic, unique and geometric font in an understated way.
