mr. 'yeah i definitely wanted to spend the day with you'

Overtime (m)

@lilacxsehun requested: Jungkook/Reader inspired by the lyrics “He says I know what I want and I want it now I want you cause I’m Mr. Vain” in which Jungkook is the CEO of a big company you work for.
Pairing: Jungkook | Reader
Genre: Fluff/Smut; CEO/Boss AU
Word Count: 12,037
Author’s Note: I’ve always wanted to try my hand at a CEO AU so I was very excited to get this request. As I was writing this, I wasn’t entirely sure if Jungkook’s position should constitute him more as a CEO or a boss but eh, ignore the technicalities.

Summary: In which an awkward first encounter with your new boss gives Jeon Jungkook all the more reason to make your job an interesting experience.

To say you are late would be a complete and utter, tragic and ill-fitting, understatement. By the time you were supposed to be here at the building, you had just finished adding the last minute touches to your hair with the straightener, and by the time you were supposed to be doing that you needed to finish your makeup and by the time that was happening—!

Well, you get the idea.

Point is, you are running incredibly behind on your schedule—as if life just wanted to prove a point that no matter how much it seemed you could stitch your life together by managing to land an interview for a company actually relevant to your degree, something always had to go wrong. It just so happens that the bad day you constantly worried about just had to occur today. On the day of your interview.

You think it might be enough to get you to scream. First, the power just had to cut off the night before, disarming your alarm clock and resetting all the previous settings so instead of just beeping at some abnormal time it just didn’t ring at all. Given that you had also forgotten to plug your phone in for charging the night before as well, there was no way that could have been any source of an alternative method for waking up. All of that led up to the simple fact regarding the issue that you have a very difficult time waking up in the morning even with an alarm, so having none only elevated that struggle, bursting out of bed after frantically wondering about the time, and attempting to compress an hour’s worth of preparation into 5 minutes.

Knock Knock.

The door swings open; a boy dressed in a white shirt, blue jeans and timberlands greets you with frightened doe-eyes. “Are you-”

“Yes I am.” You push your way in, not having enough time to slip off your shoes politely. You take one quick scan of his apartment. “How much time do we have?”

“She’s coming in five minutes.” He says in alarm, scrambling to look at the clock.

Here Comes Trouble

Summary: During a case with the Winchesters, things take a turn for the worse, and some secrets you’ve been hiding come to light.

Pairing: Dean x Reader

Warnings: mentions of past smut, angst, pregnant reader, witches, injured Winchesters, character death, arguing, language, fluff

A/N: This fic is based on the prompt; “Reader hides her pregnancy so Dean won’t make her stop hunting yet, and when he finds out he is really pissed off” from a list @deanwinchesterxreader made a while back.

As always, feedback is welcomed!

Your mind kept running back to the positive pregnancy test you’d stashed in your bottom drawer of your room the night before. It wasn’t that you were upset by the news, but you knew as soon as you came clean to the boys about the news- they’d stop you from hunting. You knew they’d become protective over you, worry about the future, and you also couldn’t bear the idea of Dean’s reaction to the fact you were carrying his baby.

You’d spent one heated night together after a rough hunt, you both needed to blow off some steam after going up against a group of vamps and coming out a little battered and bruised after eventually taking them out.

Usually, you and the Winchesters would blow off steam by heading to a bar and possibly finding random hook ups for the night, but on this particular case, Sam had stayed behind after getting injured in a previous hunt. Which meant it left you and Dean alone. You’d helped patch each other up and had a bottle of whiskey at hand, you weren’t in the mood to go out after the day you’d had, surprisingly Dean offered to stay in with you.

One thing lead to another and soon you were in a haze of  naked bodies kissing, touching, moving against each other in heated passion. The memory of him sent heat straight to your core, his perfect plump lips, his gorgeous body, his insanely talented mouth and not to mention his impressive-

“-Earth to Y/N.” Dean’s gruff voice pulled you from your daze. He furrowed his brows at you through the reflection of the rear view mirror as you sat in the back of the impala. “You alright?” He asked, the concern clear over his face.

You ran a hand through your hair and nodded, “yeah, yeah I’m good.”.

You could tell by Dean’s face that he didn’t believe you, but he didn’t press any more about it as the three of you exited the car and headed for the victim’s house to talk to his wife.

Ten Years (Part 11)

Warnings: language, fluff, confrontation

A/N: Tags are closed. I originally had something completely different written, but it no longer felt like it fit with the narrative here, so I rewrote it. I accidentally increased the amount of parts needed for this story, too. I don’t really know how I feel about it, but I feel like it was necessary. Please don’t hate me, haha. BTW - Thank you so much for the sweet messages, they are simultaneously slaying me and getting me through the day.

Dean convinces Cas not to turn him in, and sparks fly.

But what happens when Cas appears to be involved with a rival group? Can Dean trust him at all? Or does Cas already know enough to ruin him?

A/N: Feedback appreciated! This is an AU that’s a little different, so I hope y’all enjoy this one!

There’s nothing left to do for the day, and Dean’s just about to lock up when a woman walks in, walking briskly and looking a little flustered, like most people who’ve just had unexpected car trouble.

“And what can I do for you?” Dean asks, eyeing her as she sets her purse on the counter. Pretty, but a little too upscale for his taste, with her manicured nails and name-brand everything.

My hands sting and I can already feel the bruises beginning to form.
I sit to catch my breath, in the deafening silence I hear a drop of my blood hit the scuffed wooden floor.

Looking back, not wrapping my hands was a bad idea.

I get onto my feet and hook another bag up. This time, being careful to wash and wrap my hands.
Letting out years of pent up anger felt good after a long day of dealing with idiotic people.

“You should probably take care of that first.” Steve comments just as I knock the bag off its chain, accidentally spilling sand across the floor.
“If it isn’t the star-spangled man with a plan, why are you here? What do you want?”
“I don’t want anything -” he says obviously finding humour in his joke. My patience is running thin and I shoot him a glare.
He clears his throat, regaining his composure. “Fury wanted to see you.”
“Fury? Nick Fury, the one that relieved me of my title as field agent?-” Steve tries to cut me off
“-All because yours truly made one little mistake-”
“You almost got us killed.” He cuts in
“But I didn’t! I came in and saved your ass, again!”
“You wouldn’t have had to save us if you stuck to the orders!”
“It was my brother! What would you have done! I fixed my mistake, but Fury didn’t give me my second chance, why should I give him his?”
“Y/N I-” he sighs “I need your help.”
I shoot him a questioning look. “My silence is your cue.”
“Do you remember Bucky?”
“Bucky. Barnes?…The Winter Soldier? Yeah, why?”
“S.H.E.I.L.D wants to recruit him”
“Why? He tried to kill us. You were his mission-”
“I was his friend.”
“Steve, Bucky was your friend, the Winter Soldier, he’s your enemy. You can’t save him. He’s long gone. And he tried to kill us.”
“He remembers.” Steve argues “H-he’s still the Bucky I used to know, deep down.” He clears his throat again.
“Fury said that if you brought him back successfully-and alive- he’ll give you your job back.”
“Fine, but I’m doing this for me, and only me, not for you or your issues with your broken boyfriend.” Steve barely contained his excitement as we walk to the jet waiting outside. After a short flight to Stark tower and many questioning glances, we’re sat around a table discussing the terms of the mission.

“There are tracking devices in all the weapons in case you decide to go rogue.”
“Stark, I take my job very seriously.”
“Don’t flatter yourself, it’s just a precaution.”
I glance over the weapons layed out in front on me and pick a few, stuffing them in my duffle bag. I pause when I see an unfamiliar weapon. “Hey, Stark, what’s this?”
“Turn it away from you, press the green button, it vaporizes whatever its aimed at.” He demonstrated on a vase sitting on the table and it turned to a pile of ash.
“Woah. That’s awesome!”
“Thank you.”
“Tony, if only you were as big as your ego, maybe you’d be able to reach the top shelf.” Although he was a few inches taller than me I still liked to tease him about his height compared to the others.

I sat back down looking over the Winter Soldier’s case file once again, taking in all the details, adding them to what I already know. In his military picture he looks young, determined, sweet, definitely handsome, probably a ladies man with his hair neatly cut and gelled.
In the other two he looked different. There’s one of him in cryo. Even in his frozen state you can still make out the crease in his brow, he looks like he’s… in pain. The one of him in action, a majority of his face is covered by a black mask, his hair long and messy. His metal arm stood out against his black uniform. The vibranium caught the sun and made the red star stand out even more. The way I recognized him best, as the Winter Soldier.

“Y/N!”
“What?” I say snapping out of my stupor

“You spaced out, it’s time for us to leave, you’re headed to Shelbyville, Indiana, that’s where the target was seen last.”

“He’s not a target.” Steve yelled from down the hall, slamming the door.

“Actually, Sam? Wilson, right? Alright bird-boy. I say we head to Washington. I was thinking metal-man grew up in Indiana, maybe he went looking for answers he couldn’t find. If you’re a fossil who doesn’t know how to properly use a computer, where would you go to search for the past?”

“The Smithsonian.” Bruce chimed in when we walked past him lab. I shot him a smile, seeing as he was the only one who sided with me when I almost got them killed, he’s one of my favorites. Him and Natasha that is. Agent Romanoff was always one of my favourites.
“Exactly, there’s a big plaque dedicated to Barnes there. I say we check it out. I don’t think Barnes would stay in one place too long, he knows he’s wanted.”
“You really think he’s there?”
“Wilson, I’m a spy, its my job to know where people are.” I send over my shoulder on my way into the quinjet. I’m met with a light chuckle from Mr. Patriotism himself. “What’re you laughing at?”
“You know, you’re quite funny, agent Y/L/N.” I’m slightly startled by the title, not being used to it anymore. Does he just have that much faith that I’ll succeed? Although, I’ve only failed one or two missions. “Alright Rogers, we’ve got three hours on the jet, try to behave.”

Three hours later I’m dropped off at one of Stark’s safe houses a few blocks from the Smithsonian.
“Call when you’ve got him, we’ll send a jet. And Y/N, please, don’t hurt him unless you absolutely need to.” A quick nod and a small smile from the Captain is my parting, from here I’m on my own. I head into the small rundown house, it’s bigger on the inside, cleaner and brighter too. There’s a bed to one side and a bathroom on the other.

“There’s no place like home.”

I drop my duffle and slip a gun into the waistband of my pants. I also grab a knife and slip it into the holster in my jacket, you can’t be too careful.

I decide to take the small ‘getaway’ car in the garage. Its not as great as Steve’s bug though.

The first few days go by with no sign of the infamous soldier. I’m caught off guard to finally see the one and only sporting a baseball cap, jeans and a sweatshirt. He has gloves on too, it seems. Its not too cold, it’s only late October, he’s most likely trying to hide the metal that could set civilians into a panic and most certainly give him away. He’s standing near the plaque dedicated to the one James Barnes of the 107th.

I stand and observe him for a little while. He reads the words over and over again. Its a good ten minutes before I finally walk over, careful not to startle him. I stand next to him and read the plaque for myself.
“Bucky seems like he was a great person, definitely someone you’d want to befriend.” He seems caught off guard by my words and he takes a second to comprehend my sentence.
“Yeah I bet he was a great person.” He says. “Was.” He says. I don’t comment on it because I know I wasn’t supposed to hear it. After another few minutes of silence I start again.

“You know, Steve really misses you.” His head shoots up and his eyes are dark and guarded. He recognized the name.

“He remembers.” Steve’s words play over in my head.

“Who sent you?” He questions obviously ready for a fight.
“S.H.E.I.L.D.” the look on his face tells me he doesn’t believe me.
“They want to recruit you.” No response.
“Bucky-” recognition crosses his features, but is gone almost immediately and his eyes soften, barely. He looked like he was thinking hard, remembering.
“-Steve wants you back, he wants you to remember and I can help.” I show him my S.H.E.I.L.D badge for proof
“Okay.”
“Let’s go because that guard hasn’t stopped watching you since you came in.” We head towards the street making our way to my car.
A tall man blocks our way. I pull out a gun and shoot. I clip his shoulder and he gets my leg, I collapse, but shoot again, this time its a head shot. The car’s gone and I can’t walk.
“How’d you get those through security?”
“Same way you got your arm through. Can you carry me, I can’t walk.” He picks me up as if I weighed nothing while I made a makeshift tourniquet.
I call Steve and then Romanoff and Banner, but none of them answer. He sets me down in a chair when we reach the safe house.
“Well, Earth’s mightiest heroes aren’t answering, I guess we’ll spend the night here. I’ll take first watch. You rest.” He hesitates, obviously not trusting me.
“If Steve trusts me, you can too. I promise.” He gets up and heads towards the bathroom. I hear the water start to run. I decide to make something light to eat for us, assuming he hasn’t had much lately. I hear the door click open.
“Hey, I made us dinner-” he standing in the doorway with only a towel wrapped around his waist. “I uhm, left my clothes.”
I hand him his clothes and try to keep my gaze from wandering. The door clicks shut again and I let out a breath I hadn’t known I was holding in. I sit on the bed and begin eating my sandwich. Bucky comes out, fully clothed with his hair neatly combed. I hand him his plate.
“You know, if there’s anything you want to know about yourself, I could try to answer, the basics at least. You’ll have to ask Rogers on the rest.”
“You know, that wasn’t me. None of it was me, I killed… So many people b-but, it wasn’t me.”
“I know Bucky.” I say taking his plate as he lays down.

He tosses and turns for hours. And when his breathing finally evens out I’m relieved to know he’s at least resting. I know what torture can do to a person. He sleeps for about an hour before he wakes up, immediately on guard. He wraps his metal hand around my throat
“Кто тебя послал?” Who sent you?
I’ve never been caught like this before, I could get out easily, but that would only make him more nervous,
“Bucky.” I choke out. “Its me, no one sent me.” His eyes soften and he drops me.
“I’m so sorry.” He says softly, glancing at the forming bruises.
“Its okay, I have them too, you know.” He looks surprised,
“You do?”
“Mm.” He looks at me for another second before going and sitting on the bed. He mutters quietly in Russian, but I can’t make out the words. I sidestep my bag and go to the sink.
“Drink.” I say handing him the glass. “What were you just mumbling?”
“Пытки равна прочности.”
“Torture equals strength.” We say together.
“ It was written on every surface back at Hydra.” I sit on the bed next to him, a bit closer than necessary.
“Все это будет нормально.” It’ll all be okay
He looks up at me and for the first time I see the ghost of a smile grace his features.
My phone rings interrupting our conversation.
“I’m sorry, we had a mission, I’ll come out to pick you up now.”

Thanks Clint, see you soon.“

"Katniss will be here soon, just throw your stuff in my duffle, I got it.” He does as he’s told, obviously confused, and goes back to his spot on the bed. It kind of set me off that he was trusting me. I knew well enough that it was an act. That he would try something. It was almost too easy.

×××

Bucky became my new partner on all my missions and he’s remembering more and more.
With the help of Steve of course.
Its been about 2 years. I’ll fill you in on the details.

I was right, when Clint came, Bucky tried to escape. To kill us. He didn’t succeed. He was locked up for a while, with only minimal visits from me or from Steve. Steve helped him to remember, I was like a therapist. Maybe it was because I didn’t remind him, maybe because I was, in a sense, a stranger, but nevertheless, we grew closer. Eventually, I got Fury to agree to let Barnes roam, with me as an escort. Once he was stable enough, he began training, which, in my opinion, he didn’t need. And then he was recruited.

“Hey, Buck, we gotta go, we’re on our way to Vegas, remember?”
Finally, a mission in a nice place. We drop down and check into a nice hotel, that’s a new one. There’s a Hydra base under one of the abandoned casinos in town and its our job to take it down.

×××

“Hey Buck, we’re in Vegas, we should do something fun.”
I say as we walk away from the burning building, cliché am I right?

“Why don’t we go back to the hotel and order room service? Watch a few movies, I’m still not caught up with the 21st century.” I laugh and nod my head in agreement.
I collapse on the bed and bury my face in the pillow.
“Are you tired, Мой ангел?”
I feel a rush of warmth at the name. Did he just call me his angel?
“No, just getting comfy.” I reply, my voice muffled my the pillow.
“I can make you comfy.” He says climbing in beside me and pulling me to him. He trails kisses up my neck to my jaw. I turn over to face him and give him a puzzled look. I’m not denying my feelings, everyone knew they were there, we’ve just never… confronted it, or even talked about it. And he’s never this carefree.

He smiles and captures my lips with his, a soft, yet hungry kiss, like he’d been waiting to do it. He wanted me just as badly as I wanted him. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he instinctively put his hands on either side of my head to hold himself up. I tuck my hand up under his shirt and he pulls away only long enough my me to slip his shirt off and throw it across the room. I trace the skin where the metal meets, its still red, but not as bad as when I caught him watching his own reflection. As if he were a monster, a few weeks after I brought him to S.H.E.I.L.D. he slipped my shirt up over my head and trailed kisses down my neck, to my chest and onto my stomach, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. He brings his mouth back up to mine and his tongue skims my bottom lip. The moment ends when my phone rings insanely loudly. Bucky curses under his breath.
“What?” I snap at the person on the other line.
“Did I interrupt?” Comes the snarky voice of Tony on the other end.
“Why are you calling, Stark?”
“I sent Natasha to come get you guys, she’ll be there in a few hours.”
I end the call without a goodbye and look to the soldier piercing me with his blue eyes.
“I’m sorry.” He just chuckles and places a light kiss to my forehead.
“We’d better get dressed.” He muses a playful smirk on his face.
“To be continued, Кукла.”

You got called out class by the Principal one day since someone needed to see you, and you nearly fainted when Tony Stark and Dr Banner were waiting and asked you to spend a week in their lab, and if you did well, they would take you on as an assistant. You tackle hugged Peter in a hug, thanking him repeatedly.

A/N: I know, I know. I’ve done a Peter Parker x Stark!reader imagine, but I wanted to take a different approach and form an actual story instead of one imagine. Peter will not take be in this imagine since this is purely exposition between the reader and Tony Stark. I’m not sure when Peter will show up, but he will before Civil War. This is set during Iron Man and for the sake of story telling, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, the Avengers, and Civil War will happen in a year or so

“Y/N! I lost Connor.” Felix groaned as he made his way over to you.

“How long ago?”

“I dunno, like five to ten.” He sighed, knowing that the fashion guru could practically be anywhere in the mall at this point. You’d be surprised at how fast the sun kissed boy could move.“ He said something about a fifty percent off sale.”

“No telling where that boy ran off to. Here, help me with this.” You then held up a dress and a skirt.“Which one?”

“Uh…I wanna say the skirt because this is a pretty peach color, but the dress is gorgeous.”

“Cute gorgeous or thotish gorgeous?”

“Thotish, definitely.”

“Exactly what I’m looking for.” You smiled and Felix let out a laugh, shaking his head at you.

“Trying to purposely look like a hoe?”

“Nah, but Connor told me to buy something slutty for tonight.”

“Ah, I see.” He began to scan through the clothing rack, a smile on his face as he thought about what a mess his lover was. “Connor is insane.”

————————-

The first day at a new school is always nerve-wracking, no matter how many “first days” you have. Personally, I’ve had plenty. My family bounced around a lot, never staying in one place too long. There wasn’t a particular reason, really, my parents just wanted to see as much of the world as they could. I did too, until I started high school. Now I just want to settle down and finish school- in one school- and stop being “the new girl” every year.

My parents understood where I was coming from- why I wanted to finish high school in one place. So we made a deal. I would spend my freshman year in California- which is the last place we’d lived in- and then my parents would pick a place for us to settle down for a while so I could finish school. The catch? Because I got to choose where I spent my freshman year, they got to pick where we lived for the next three. Unfortunately for me, that place was Riverdale.

The town seems cute enough, but it’s so quaint compared to what I’m used to. I love the big cities, with bright lights and noisy cars. In Riverdale, the brightest light you’ll find is the neon sign outside “Pop’s Chock-Lit Diner,” whatever that is.

It was the first day of school. I was a stressed mess, desperate to get through the day. After struggling for a full five minutes to open my locker, I put my bag away and wandered around until I found the main office. I met the principal, who seems like a nice enough guy, and he volunteered to escort me to class. My first instinct was to politely turn him down, but I knew that I’d never find this classroom on my own.

He leads me down a few hallways until we reach a room- the chemistry lab- already full of people listening intently to the teacher. The principal clears his throat, causing every head in the room to turn around and face us. My eyes scan around the room, glancing over all of the faces of my new peers. My gaze settles on a particular red-haired boy, wearing a bright blue varsity jacket. When he meets my eyes, my stomach flutters, and I look away. The principal introduces me, and tells the teacher I’ll be in this class from now on. When he leaves, the teacher has me stand in front of the room to tell the class about myself. Nothing I haven’t done a thousand times before.

“My name is Y/N  Y/L/N and I moved here from Cali. I’ve lived in 36 of the 50 states, and my family plans on staying here until I graduate,” I say.

“Cali?” a boy asks, sitting in between a blonde haired girl and a raven haired girl.

“California,” I reply with a smile.

“I know what it’s short for,” he says, rolling his eyes and laughing. “But how do you end up going from California to our small town of Riverdale?”

“I didn’t pick this place,” I say, and I find myself looking again at the red haired boy. “My parents did. We haven’t lived in this state yet, so… here we are.” I trail off, and an awkward silence fills the room.

“Well then, Ms. Y/L/N, why don’t you take a seat next to Mr. Andrews,” the teacher instructs me. He points the the boy I was looking at earlier, and I beg myself not to blush.

I walk over put my books on the table, sitting down next to him. Once the teacher turns back around and continues talking, he turns to me and says, “36, huh?”

I laugh. “Yep, a whopping 36.”

“Which was your favorite?” he asks me smiling.

“Hmm, that’s a hard one. I’d probably have to say either California or Louisiana.”

He laughs. “Louisiana?”

I feel myself start to blush. “They have the best food,” I tell him. “And Mardi Gras is incredible.”

“Good to know,” he replies. “My name is Archie, by the way.”

“I’ve gotta tell you, Archie,” I start. *** “You’re probably the hottest stranger I’ve ever seen.” ***

He laughs at that- a real, hearty laugh- and I find myself laughing too. “I’m hardly a stranger,” he says when he’s finished laughing. “We’ve known each other for a full seven minutes now.”

Before I can respond, a girl with long red hair sitting in front of me turns around, and says, “Y/N, is it?”

“Yes,” I tell her slowly.

“I’m Cheryl,” she introduces with an obviously fake smile. “You missed cheerleading tryouts, but I have a feeling you’d look good in a River Vixen uniform. What do you say?”

Before I can convince myself to look for a way out of this situation, I nod say, “Yeah, sure.”

“Great,” she says, turning back around.

Archie laughs. “You’re a cheerleader?”

“Definitely not,” I tell him. “But she doesn’t know that.”

————————–

That night, after a grueling cheerleading practice, I’m heading to the girl’s locker room when the football team comes in. As many of the girls stop to chat, I spot a familiar face in the sea of boys. “Archie!” I call.

When he finds me, he grins and walks over, bag slung over his shoulder. “Hey,” he smiles. “How was practice?”

“Let’s just say I’m going to be very sore tomorrow,” I say, and he laughs. “How about you? Was football practice as disgusting as I imagine it to be?”

“I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?” he says, stepping toward me in his dirty, smelly practice jersey.

“No thanks!” I squeal, taking a step back. “I prefer to admire from afar.”

He just laughs and shakes his head. “Cheryl was right,” he says, referring to the brief conversation I’d had with the red-haired girl earlier that day. *** “Those shorts look really good on you,” *** he tells me.

I feel myself blush. “Why thank you,” I say, smiling at the ground. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge person crashes into me, spilling some type of red energy juice all over me. I gasp as the cold liquid soaks through my shirt.

“Oh, um, I’m really sorry,” some kid says, hardly containing his laughter.

I just sigh, looking down at my shirt and hoping that somehow the stain will come out. The next thing I know, Archie is grabbing my hand and leading me towards a bathroom, where he drags me in after him and closes the door.

“What are you-”

*** “Take off your shirt.” ***

“What?” I practically squeal.

“No, not like that,” he corrects himself, digging around in his bag. He pulls out a blue football jersey and offers it to me. “I just meant put this on instead, so you’re not covered in juice,” he says smiling.

I roll my eyes and laugh at him. I gratefully take the shirt from him, and hold it between my legs as I peel off my sticky shirt. I notice his eyes get slightly wider at the sight of me in my bra before he looks away. I have to suppress my giggles.

I slide the much-too-big shirt over my head, and smile at him. “Well?” I ask. “How do I look?” The shirt is longer than my shorts, making them practically invisible.

“Um, good, I- I mean it looks- I-” he just stops talking and I can’t help but laugh at him. *** “My clothes look good on you,” *** he finishes.

“Thanks, Andrews,” I say with a grin.

Maybe living in Riverdale won’t be so bad after all.

——-
or say other things like,
“Amazing, how you put up with her.”
Or once, when I was crying because my heel broke and it was raining and I lost the paperwork and it was a bad day and I had to be comforted by Trevor, as soon as he left Jason said,
“Had to call your boyfriend to come comfort you? Why’d he leave you here? Cant drive you home to watch cartoons?”

Let’s just say that we both said vile things to each other every time we had a short meeting.

Which brings me to today, where I have to go to a ball for the opening of another company’s new branch. I am here for diplomatic reasons and Bruce was gracious enough to give me a plus one. “Only two of my boys will be attending, feel free to bring someone along.”

I ask Trevor if he wants to come to a work event with me and he says no so I go it alone. When I call Bruce he says that it’s a shame but I am welcome to come over to the manor and carpool with them. He doesn’t say it like that but you get the gist.

It’s a winter ball and I’m wearing this navy/royal blue gown with long sleeves. My hair is that trendy “looks barely wet, out of the shower, but not ugly” kind of look and I pull a nude lip with a golden cut crease. I don’t plan on dancing so I wear one of my taller pairs of heels and drive over to the manor with some paperwork. Work doesn’t rest, does it?

When I get to the manor I have the joy of meeting Alfred again. He allows me inside and tells me that “everyone should be down in ten” and “oh, let me take those files for you, have fun tonight and blame the work papers on me!”
Mr. Wayne is in a tux already standing by the steps ordering Dick and Jason to hurry up and then I see them.

So handsome, Dick is wearing a black and white tux with accents the same colour as my dress and Jason, while I hate to admit it, looks dashing in his black but slightly maroon tinted tux.

“Where’s your date gone? Didn’t have work at the ball to help you with so he didn’t want to come?” (JT)

“Jason Peter, stop that at once.” (BW)

“It’s fine Mr. Wayne. Really, Jason doesn’t know how a proper boyfriend acts so he has to stalk mine.” (Y/n)

“Ooh, burn. Y/n, you look elegant tonight, I’d be happy to accompany you tonight.” (RG)

“Thank you Richard, it seems we make quite the pairing tonight.” (Y/n)

“The blue definitely makes your skin glow,” Dick says, “a dress fitting the woman wearing it.”

“It’s not the dress that makes my skin glow, thank you though. Your flattery is very well appreciated.” I giggle as we make our way into the car.

The drive is not too long, Bruce asked me about work and the recent activities in the work sphere and starts to talk to me about higher positions.

“Oh, Mr. Wayne, are you sure? I am quite young and would not want to upset the older offices that may want the opening.”

“Yeah, she actually just may upset herself, always stressed out enough as it is.” (JT)

“Jason, I think she can handle herself fine, she fits well with the family and there isn’t someone else I trust for this particular role.” (BW)

“I’ll definitely think about it and give you an answer tomorrow morning.”

We get to the ball and exit the car. As we waltz our way to our table I have this strange feeling and begin to worry.

“Hey, are you okay?” (RG)

“Oh, Dick, I am fine. I’m just a little queasy.”

“You’ll be fine, you’re probably just hungry. Let’s eat and we both can partner away for dances.” (RG)

“Of course, thanks Dick.” I nuzzle into his arm and let him lead me to the table.

Jason is glaring at Dick and I have no clue why. Does he hate me?

We sit at the table and begin our chat with some of the employees from the other company. They are so fruitful and lively. As we eat, I see something out of the corner of my eye.

“Is that Trevor?” I whisper. No one could hear except for Dick and maybe Jason if he was really listening.

“What?” Dick whispers back.

“Look,” I whisper even quieter than before, “he’s with anothe-”

And he kissed the girl he was with right then.

I gasp and immediately look down as if I was not supposed to see them. My eybrows furrow and I begin to pout.

I excuse my myself and run to the bathroom. I really didn’t want this to happen tonight, not with Jason here. This is embarrassing and making me angry. God, of all days?

“Of all days?” I yell into the bathroom mirror.

Luckily the bathroom was nearly empty and I swiftly left. I can’t stand Trevor. Gosh this is why we had to spend so much time at my work! All these nights he wasn’t spending with me he must have been spending with someone else!

I just entered the doors to the ballroom and quickly my left arm was being pulled and suddenly I was being pulled into an embrace. I am surrounded by the smell of Dicks cologne.

“Hey, how are you holding up?”
Dick smiles at me gently and guides me around the dance floor.

“Ugh, to be honest, not well but I’m going to get through it. I just don’t want to talk to him tonight.”

Dick dips me and we both rotate.

“Is this the first time something has happened like this?”

“Great detective, trying to solve another case?” I tease while swatting his bicep. “I mean, tonight was definitely a wake up moment but I guess I should have seen it all along.”

“Yeah? Jason tells me that you guys were real love birds in the office.”

“Jason talks about me? Haha, how sweet. You could say we were lovebirds, only in the office. I always wondered why he couldn’t stay the night or why we spent little time out of work hours. He was hanging around her during the hours without me. It makes sense now.”

“Don’t worry, you are a real catch, and if I could, I’d ask you out myself.”

“Oh, and why can’t you, billionaire bachelor?”

“Sweetheart, I already know someone who’s got eyes for you.”

The song is about to end,
“Really? Who?”

And Dick bows me goodbye and I’m standing alone on the floor. I see Trevor dancing nearby and I hope he doesn’t see me alone! Oh gosh! What can I do?

There! Is this my only option?
My way out? I can’t believe that this is how I have to do this…

I tug on Jason’s sleeve and quickly switch with the girl he’s dancing with.

“Rude much?”

“Okay I am so so sorry but it’s an emergency.”

Jason groans and looks away.

“Are you upset with me?” I ask.

“What? No.”

We are still dancing and Trevor is nowhere near paying attention to us. Still whispering sweet nothings to his other girlfriend.

I say nothing as we dance and soon Jason is pulling left and right and we sashay around.

“Woah! What are we doing?”

“Well, if you won’t tell me the emergency I am not going to stop having fun.”

I smile,
“Jason I hate to tell you this, but my boyfriend is over there and I am trying to avoid him, or at least not be seen without a partner while I figure out what to do.”

I start dancing more fearlessly as Jason’s hold on me becomes more secure.

“Why are you trying to avoid him?”
Jason begins to look around and sees how he is acting with that other girl.

“Hey dumbass, don’t make it obvious. He’s cheating on me alright! I thought he didn’t want hang out with me tonight but he already had plans.”
I start to tear up and I slow my dancing.

“Hey, hey. Don’t cry, you didn’t do anything wrong.”
Jason strokes the side of my face and lifts my chin.

“I did though, I wasn’t that good of a girlfriend and he needed another one.”
I attempt to look down but Jason doesn’t let me.

“No.”

“No?”

Jason guides me to the balcony outside and continues our slow dancing.

“All this attitude and you only show it towards me, why not show it towards him, huh? Does that make me special?”
He smirks and the corners of my lips begin to rise.

“Don’t think of yourself too highly, Todd.”

“Why do you hate me?” He asks with stern eyes.

I was taken aback by that sudden question.

“What? I don’t hate anyone–”

“So why are we like this?”

“Jason, I dislike a lot of aspects of you but-”

“What aspects?”

“Stop cutting me off and listen you bloke.”

His lips shut in two second and I smile.

“You really want to know the truth?”

He nods.

“I gotta tell you. The truth will hurt. Especially for a certain little daddy’s boy.”

He pouts and pretends to be upset.

“Okay, its honesty time. I don’t think we have each other a real chance. The first time we met was a disaster and I guess I still carry tensions because you wouldn’t apologize. You can blame my aggression on work or whatever, you were something to take it out on. I guess we were opposites and you know what they say about opposites.”

“That they attract?”

I laugh.
“They have more to fight about.”

We keep dancing in silence until he hand moves from my waist to my back.

“You look gorgeous tonight, just saying.”

“You look somewhat better than how I usually see you, thanks.”

He pretends to be hurt and I chuckle.

“Tell me Jay, why were you so mean to me?”

“Question of the century, why did you not spare me?”

I place me head on his chest and we continue to sway. I’ve almost forgotten what happened with my boyfriend.

“I like fighting with you. You are so cute when you’re mad. I also would like to take this opportunity to ask you out.”

He stares down at me as our dance paused.

I smirk and make my way to the bar, positive that he would follow me.

“Playboy, can’t you see I’m tired of having my heart broken.”

“Bubbling cider, make it two.” He orders the bartender and then looks me dead in the eye. “There is nothing I wouldn’t do to try and make you happy.” He proceeds to kiss my hand slowly.

“Cliche, much? Why me?”
I take a sip of my non alcoholic drink (a/n: soz I don’t drink and I don’t know anything about drinks sorry this is bland)

“You are a hard worker, brilliant, beautiful, why wouldn’t I?”

“Try harder.”

“Alright princess, ever since I met you, I’ve already known a little bit about Bruce’s little miracle worker. I caught you and tried to get you interested by making you a little jealous. It didn’t work, but at least we had a relationship that developed. I’ve been waiting too damn long to ask you this, so I’m asking you now. Will you go out with me?”

I grin, “ Of course, my hero for the night can get a dinner with yours truly.”

“You wanna break up with Trevor first.”
Jason smiles and tips his drink towards the happy couple.

“I forgot all about that, let me.”

I walk over to Trevor and right when he and his partner switch, I slide into his arms.

“Oh! Y/n, I can explain! I-”

“Yea whatever, we are over and I want all my stuff back by Thursday, you can bring them over to the office but be sure to leave it with the receptionist.”

I lean in close to his ear and continue, “Don’t be worried, no harsh feelings. Just don’t expect anything from me ever again. Like helping you explain what I’m about to tell your girl over there.”

His eyes widen and I leave him before he apologized. I then joined his girlfriend in a dance and explain everything. She storms mad at Trevor and leaves with out him, while I, leave with Jason.

“It was fun watching you dance kitten, you are so entertaining.”
He kisses my cheek as we head into the car.

Bruce and Dick are in the car, already sleeping while Jason and I spend the car ride cuddling and catching up on all we missed while we were spending months fighting each other.

It’s going to be a great relationship, sprouted from a coffee spill.

Unstable (Part 1/?) (Parker/Maximoff x reader)

Requests:

1.  sillverstarr said:Will you write an avenger’s fic where the reader is kinda in a Lucy situation? She suddenly has power over more percentage of her brain and goes to the avenger’s for help to stabilize her brain activity and share her knowledge and powers? Thank you so much, you are seriously amazing

2.  Heyy bonnie. request: peter x reader where the reader has some sort of power? one that’s potentially dangerous and she’s a part of the avengers and once peter joins they like each other but reader is scared she’ll hurt him so she tries to distance herself?

This wasn’t supposed to happen.  They would come for you now, and you would be locked away forever once they saw the damage that you had just caused; the death around you that was on your hands. It wasn’t fully your fault; you had been given too much power, too many abilities, and not enough control.  Your brain was nearly at 100% activity and it was spiraling into depths that terrified and intrigued you at the same time. There was almost no limit to what you could do now, but you would be considered a weapon after this; you would be considered a threat that needed to be neutralized, and they would be coming for you.

genre: angst
word count: 12,170
warnings: terminal illness, hospitals, needles, etc;
note: put a tiny bit of a twist on this one, but i’m not sure how to categorize the concept itself. it involves a japanese legend that i based off on the children’s book Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.

Jeon Jeongguk is ill.

It first surfaced when he was out playing with his friends, running along with them one summer morning, his shoes scraping against the pavement as he ran fast to keep up. In the midst of it all, as he was reaching out to tap his friend’s shoulder and finally get his revenge on him, Jeongguk suddenly felt his legs collapse from underneath him and soon the soft skin of his cheek met with the coarse concrete. He remembered his friends running to get his parents and when his father carried him in his arms, he fell unconscious and woke up in a cold hospital room where his mother sobbed quietly.

Jeongguk was eleven years old when he was diagnosed with something that he commonly referred to as what made people treat him differently.

The changes that came with this revelation were drastic. Jeongguk often had to miss out on school for weeks at a time, staying in the vicinity of a hospital where he lay in bed all day under careful observation by doctors. What used to be time spent for learning and making friends is now scheduled for routine check ups and treatment. Even the people Jeongguk had considered friends whispered about him and steered cleared of him, even though his illness isn’t contagious in any way. In truth, it was their parents that made his old friends avoid him, used him and his sickness as a way of threatening their children when they weren’t obedient.

“Go study, or else you’ll end up like that Jeon kid!” They would say variations of this, as if Jeongguk had been reduced to some kind of curse that only existed when fear is the only thing that would get through their young minds.

As a result, Jeon Jeongguk often felt lonely, having only minimal conversations with the nurses that routinely checked up on him while he stays in the hospital, and his family who try their best to look as if their youngest isn’t burdened by what could possibly be a terminal illness. The doctors called him a fighter, and Jeongguk would smile up at them with eyes filled with certainty because he believed them and will try his best to endure every process he has to undergo to get better.

Hey hey hey!!

I know you’re probably sick of me and my fics by now ‘cause there are too many but I was thinking about how today is Yousef’s free day and how he has Sana’s number now and how I’m dying to see him with kids and I had too many feelings that I had to write this.

It’s not complete though, I’ve written a second part. And if you like this I can post it later or tomorrow. I just didn’t want to post the whole thing because it was too long and I didn’t want to bore you.

So again, it’s a mix between text messages and fic. Sorry  about the mistakes that might be there but as you know, english is not my first language.

I hope you like it!

——————————-x———————————-

She took a moment to process everything.

Yousef had just asked her out. Yes, it was to go watch a kids play but still, he had asked her out. He had even offered to go to her house and talk with her mom.

Her mom. She had heard her on Sunday telling Elias that she didn’t like Sana and Yousef spending so much time together. She was going to freak out when Sana told her that she wanted to go out with him. And as charming as Yousef was, which was a lot, she wasn’t sure that he would be able to convince her.

After choosing carefully her outfit, something nice but not too nice so her mom wouldn’t suspect, she went to the kitchen to find her mom and Elias there. Elias, she wasn’t counting on him being there.

“Hey habibti, you look really nice today. Are you planning on going out?”

So much for not wanting to make her suspect. Well done, Sana.

“Yeah, yeah, I was actually coming to ask you if I could go out”

“Are you meeting Noora?” her mom asked

“Um…no, not Noora.”

“Who then?”

“Well…”Sana looked at her brother who was focused on texting someone. She didn’t feel very comfortable telling her mom her plans with him there.

“Sana, you know we don’t have secrets in this family. Whatever you want to tell me, you can say it in front of your brother” her mom said following Sana’s look. “Besides, he’s not even listening, are you Elias?”

“I am listening, I just don’t really care” he said still looking at his phone

“Whatever…okay…well, I have this friend” Sana started “who works in a kindergarten”

“Okay, now I’m interested” Elias said putting away his phone and giving her sister all the attention, he knew exactly where this was going.

Sana gave him a death glare before continuing

“Yeah, well, the kids there are performing today, some kind of play. And he has a spare ticket and asked me if I wanted to go”

“He?” Sana’s mom asked “Who’s he? Is it Isak?”

“No, no, no, not Isak…” she took a deep breath trying to find the right words, when actually there was only one word that needed to be said, one name. “He’s…well…he’s…”

“Come on, sis! I know you can” Elias teased her.

“It’s Yousef, isn’t he?” her mom asked frowning

“Well…yeah…he is”

“Sana…You know I like Yousef and I know he’s a good kid but…I don’t know if I want you spending so much time with you…with the whole drinking thing and so on…”

“But mom, he doesn’t drink. He told you, the bottle wasn’t his”

“Well, he wouldn’t tell me if it was”

“Mom, trust me, the bottle wasn’t his. He doesn’t drink. He’s a good guy, you know him, you’ve known him for years. And we’re just friends, we’re going to watch a kids play. That’s it”

“If it’s a plan for friends, why wouldn’t he ask Elias instead of you?”

“’Cause Elias doesn’t like kids”

“Neither do you Sana”

“I like kids…sometimes”

“I don’t know Sana…I don’t like the idea of you two being alone”

“We won’t. There are going to be parents and teachers”

“Sana…”

“Would it help if he told you all of this himself? If you heard this from him?”

Just as she finished her sentence, someone knocked at the door front.

“’Cause he’s here…”

Mrs. Bakkoush took a deep breath and closed her eyes trying to calm down.

“Elias, please, open the door”

He stood up and went to the front door and opened it. In front of him there was a very nervous Yousef. He was wearing a white shirt and nice jeans and no snapback at all.

“Dude, what are you wearing?” Elias said laughing at his friend

“Not helping” Yousef said brushing past him.

He entered the kitchen followed by Elias. His eyes went straight to Sana, she looked beautiful, but that wasn’t a surprise, she always looked beautiful.

“Hi”

“Hi” she said looking at him the same way she always did, with loving eyes.

“Good afternoon Mrs Bakkoush” Yousef said to her mom “I guess Sana has told you why I’m here”

“Indeed, she has and frankly Yousef I don’t think it’s a good idea”

“I know, and I respect that but please let me try to convince you”

“Go ahead” she sighed

“Okay..so…”he took a deep breath preparing to tell her the speech he had been rehearsing in his way there “I know you don’t like the idea of Sana and me spending time alone, but the thing is we won’t be alone. There will be a lot of adults, parents, teachers and so on. Even my aunt, she works there, so she’ll be there. The kids have worked so hard for this play and I think Sana will like it and the kids are going to love her. See, I really admire Sana as a person, I think she’s kind and strong and she’d be a perfect role model to the kids there and they could learn a lot from her, so I would love them to meet her. And she’ll be back here as soon as the play ends, we can come home straight from there. You can even call the headmaster of the kindergarten if you feel more comfortable. I just…I don’t know what else to say…but if you still don’t think it’s a good idea, like I told Sana, I’ll respect that and go alone”

Both Sana and her mom looked at Yousef in awe. The boy was definitely charming, the things he had said about Sana had convinced her mom without even doubt it. Still, she kept thinking about it.

“Come on mom, cut them some slack, you know they’re both responsible people” Elias said trying to help.

“At what time does the play start?” Mrs. Bakkoush asked

“4pm”

“And how long is it?”

“Not longer than an hour I guess”

“Okay” she sighed “you can go Sana”

“Really? Thank you mom!” she said hugging her

“Thank you so much Mrs. Bakkoush” Yousef said

“You have to be here at 7pm, though” she told her daughter

“7 pm? But the play ends at 5 pm…that’s two hours” Sana said confused

“Well, the boy came all the way here to talk to your mom, the least you can do is invite him to an ice-cream after the play don’t you think?”

“Sounds fair to me” Yousef said with a big smile.

—————————-x———————————-

Well, this is the first part. The second part is about the play and the kids and so on. Let me know if you want me to post the second part

I’ve just noticed that there’s a mistake in one of the messages, it should say “they gave me two tickets” and it says “the”. Sorry about that

Also! This is especially dedicated to my friend @sterekwonders We were talking the other day about how cute it would be if Yousef went to talk to the bakkoush’s family about his relationship with Sana. I know this isn’t exactly what we talked about but still, it made think of you.

Well, I hope you all like this

Thank you for reading and let me know if you would like to read the second part

You watched as Uncle Dean walked into the room, he’d called Cas about fifteen times this week and still nothing. Dad walked in from the other entrance, holding a load of papers and articles. You all sat at the table, “Still no word from Cas?” Dad stated the obvious,
“Nothing.” Uncle Dean huffed. He picked up his guns and began to clean them. You noticed he did this when he was worried.
“He’s Cas. This isn’t the first time he’s just dropped off the map. He’ll be fine.” Dad tried to reassure his brother, who hummed a “Yeah…” in response.

“Well, I’ve been researching demons. Turns out we have a lot of books on demons.”
You chuckled.
“But nothing useful for Daegon.”

“Helpful.” You stated sarcastically. You glanced up when a notification appeared on your Dad’s laptop screen. “Huh,” He grabbed Uncle Dean’s attention “I just got an email from Mick…It’s a case.”
“Good.” Uncle Dean replied before wiping the barrel of his pistol.

“Why didn’t he call?” You wondered aloud.

“Some guy called Jarrod Hayes went missing last week in Tomahawk, Wisconsin….Mick say’s this place has a history.

“Meaning…?”

“Well someone went missing every year for some time until it stopped twenty years ago…well, until now.” Dad paraphrased.

“What so it’s like a cycle or something?” You suggested.

“Something like that.”

As everyone was throwing some bags into the back of Baby your Dad stopped you. “You sure you’re okay to come?”
“Yeah. I’m fine.” You nodded. You were far too determined to quit.
His eyebrows furrowed sympathetically. “If you want to stop at any point just say.” He paused before adding “Promise?”
“Promise.” You smiled.

The three of you raised an eyebrow at the Sheriff. He was adding the finishing touches to some sort of taxidermy project. It was a little creepy to say the least. You’d taken on Claire’s advice and after managing to convince your Dad to let you tag along as they posed as FBI agents. It was amazing what a little makeup and smart-wear could do.

“You know what I don’t get…” the Sheriff began “Why the fed’s are so interested?” He didn’t look away from his work.
“Just following orders.” Uncle Dean answered in a way that said it wasn’t up for question.
“What can you tell us about the case?” Dad asked after clearing his throat.
“Not much to tell,” the Sheriff picked up some sort of tweezers and began fixing any hair that looked out of place to him “Some kids were hanging out, Jarrod went home and never made it.”
“You don’t seem very worried.” You noticed his casual demeanor.
“If you ask me he bailed. He had it tough you know…real tough.” The Sheriff started to sew something up on the creature.
“Tough?” Uncle Dean raised an eyebrow.
“His Mom left years ago and his Dad…well…lets just say Jarrod fell down the stairs a lot.”

“You knew he was being abused?” You tried not to sound angry.

“We tried to help him, but taking a child away from his parents, even if they’re the evilest people in the world, its hard.”
You couldn’t argue with him, but you didn’t fully agree either.

Uncle Dean went back to the issue at hand “You said Jarrod was with friends the night he went missing, did any of them say anything?”
“Nothin’ worth repeating….there, ain’t he precious?” The Sheriff sat back from his completed work and did a sort of ‘voila’ pose. You smiled awkwardly, trying to look impressed.
“Any idea where we can find any of these friends?” Dad wondered.

“Darren Boston? Agents Stark, Martel and Pond.” You held up your badges briefly.
“Ah no…” Darren whispered to himself, tossing his joint to the floor. You picked it back up and handed to his confused face “That stuff’s expensive.”
Thanks?” He mumbled.
“We uh, we wanted to ask you a few quick questions about the night your friend Jarrod Hayes went missing?” Dad explained.
“What about it?” He huffed.
“The Sheriff said you were with him.” Dad continued.
“Yeah well the Sheriff can suck it. He thinks Jarrod just upped and left this town.”
“And you don’t?” You said curiously.
“I know he didn’t. But the cops aren’t gonna believe me, not if the Sheriff doesn’t. He’s got it in for me.” Darren complained.
“Why?”
He held up his fag in an obvious manor “Why do you think?”

“So what did happen?” You encouraged him, if he hadn’t told anyone else, which by the sounds of it he hadn’t, he’d be more likely to tell you.
“I tried to save him…” Darren took a deep breath “But the monster got him: Black Bill.”

“Black Bill is a local urban legend…” Your Dad began to explain, but paused when neither you nor Dean were paying much attention. One, you already had the wiki page up on your phone and two, you were starving so food was the priority. The waitress finally cam over with your orders, spending extra long giving your Uncle his so she made sure he saw “the look”. You hid behind your milkshake in embarrassment for him as he winked.
“Focus.” Dad managed through gritted teeth, nudging his brother.
“I am focused! Black Bill, urban legends blah blah what’ve you got?” Uncle Dean clearly wasn’t “focused” but you were too busy reading your own phone to bother saying anything.
Dad coninued “Apparently he has the head of a goat-”
“A goat?” Uncle Dean stopped him “Like mehh a goat?”
“No. The black and white type that goes Moo.” You remarked, earning a bitchface from your Uncle and a smile from your Dad.

“So where are we going with this?” Uncle Dean tried his best to stay on board as he followed the waitress round with his eyes.
“You’re an actual creep.” You looked at him with a disgusted face and he swatted you on the back of the head “What would you know, you’re what, twelve?”
“Old man.” You hissed.
“Baby.” He snapped back.
You stuck your tongue out at him “Fight me.”
“I’d beat your ass.”
“Guys!” Dad drew your attentions back to the case “Focus.”

“Why don’t you two uh, focus on the case.” Uncle Dean didn’t take his eyes off the waitress, who was glancing at him whenever she had the chance.
“Don’t wait up.” He mumbled, slowly getting up from the table “We can just use the colt. Dusts anything.”
“Still, if it fails it’s nice to have a plan B.” You shrugged.
“I’m done with you two and your..logic.” With that he got up and made a beeline for the lady.
“Oh don’t do the hot coffee thing.” Dad winced in preparation for whatever awful pickup line he was about to attempt.

Uncle Dean whistled a little before smirking “This coffee is hot, almost as hot as-” He then gestured towards her.
You sunk into your chair “Oh please no that was so painful to watch.”
Cringing you faced away from the pair of them, making Dad chuckle. “Wanna go?” He said, clearly feeling the same.
Definitely.”

After an all-nighter of researching and endless energy drinks, or coffee for your Dad, you were back in the same cafe. Hopefully, Uncle Dean would arrive soon so you could carry on with the case.
You glanced up when the little bell went at the door where he whispered something to her before grinning and heading in your direction.
He sat down, looking way too proud with himself. “Good night?” Dad asked.
“Why would you even ask that?” You mumbled.
“Awesome. So awesome.” Uncle Dean smiled widely as he looked back over to her taking her jacket off.

“So uh, any idea what we’re dealing with?”
“A satyr.” You said- keen to change the topic.
“A what?” Uncle Dean raised his eyebrows, stuffing his face full of your Dad’s order.
“Half man-half goat thing, like Mr Tumnus from Narnia.”
“You are such a nerd.” He commented.
“Nerd life is best life.”You shrugged, taking your phone back from him.

“They lead people to the woods for massive orgys and then the Satyr would, quote, “feast on the flesh of his victims until his belly was full to bursting with their moist slippery meat””.
Uncle Dean slowed his chewing and pushed his plate away “Oh, so now what?”
“We were gonna question Darren…”
“Were going to?” Uncle Dean didn’t like where this was going.
“Yeah,” Dad nodded “His Mom called to say he never made it home from work last night.”

“Excuse me, Sir. Hi, Agents Stark, Martell and Pond. We’re looking for Darren Boston?”
“Darren?” The man looked puzzled “Is he in trouble?”
“No we uh, spoke to him last night. We just wanted to ask a few follow up questions.”
“No he didn’t actually show up for work today. Sorry I can’t help you any more than that…The last time I saw him was yesterday. Big day today, though. It’s a shame he couldn’t have pulled his load.”
“How come it’s a big day?” You asked.
“See that man over there, he’s the health inspector. They’re trying to shut us down. We can’t afford to upgrade to better equipment.”
“And the owner?” Dad pressed.
“He’d rather play Sheriff.”
“Wait,” Uncle Dean stopped him from saying anything else “You’re telling me Sheriff Bishop owns this plant?”
“Yeah-“ He paused, noticing a man waving for his attention “Excuse me.”

“So…” You sighed, watching him walk away “We talk to the Sheriff.”
Uncle Dean continued “Find our witness who later goes missing.”
Dad finished “Last seen somewhere owned by the Sheriff. Coincidence?”

The three of you walked behind a curtain to reveal racks of meat. It stank and it took any drop of hunger you had out of you. Ew.
“Sheriff.” Uncle Dean cleared his throat. The Sheriff turned round on his heels with his hands half in his pockets “What are you doing here? Still trying to track down Jarrod?”
“And Darren Boston. He went missing yesterday.” You added.
“Geez, first I’ve heard.”
“Sheriff, what do you know about Black Bill?” Uncle Dean went straight to the local legend.
The Sheriff sighed “Parents tell it to their kids so they don’t stay out so late or play somewhere they shouldn’t. He’s like the boogeyman, you know? Ain’t real.”
“You sure about that, a lot of people in this town go missing.” You questioned him furhter.
“Yeah, they work at the plant, get bored and move on.”
“And what about Darren?” Dad tilted his head.
“The kid was drunk, high or both. He’s not exactly a trustworthy witness.”

“Okay, thank you for your time.” Dad thanked him before turning and leaving with you both. Once you’d made it out of the main area you began to discuss the case. “He’s not acting suspicious at all.” Uncle Dean scoffed.
“But how’s he connected to the satyr?” Dad couldn’t get his head round it and neither could.

You stole a few of Uncle Dean’s chips as he grabbed ketchup from the other table, throwing you a suspicious glare as you munched on them. “Did you take some of my fries?” He raised an eyebrow. You shrugged, swallowing. You were about to act all innocent when Dad came into the diner. “Seriously? You can eat after what we just saw?” He looked disgusted at his brother.
He shrugged, taking a bite of his burger. “This is heaven, Sammy.”
You took another chip when he closed his eyes, having a moment with his burger. He then opened one and glanced at you, swallowing before saying “Will you stop.”
“I’ll stop when you run out of chips.” You smiled sweetly.
Anyway,” Dad ignored you both “Did we find anything out?”
“Yeah, all the past victims worked at the factory.” You said after taking a sip of your hot chocolate.
“All of them?”
“Yep. So they must be connected.”

“Must be. What I found is that in the past if you lived here you worked at the plant. The Bishops owned everything. From the factory to the housing. Only, recently they’ve been having to sell things off. Everything except for the factory and their housing estate.” Dad placed a photo in front of you both.
“Damn.” You looked at how posh and defined it was “Now that’s a house.”
Dad’s phone buzzed and he checked the screen “It’s from Mick, he’s wondering how the case is going.”
You didn’t mention anything, but Mick had been acting a little out of character recently. “Tell him it’s going just fine.” Uncle Dean managed between bites.

You flicked your torch on and stayed close to your Dad and Uncle, treading carefully through the estate. As they turned to go different ways, exploring the place, you did so too, walking into the huge kitchen-diner with a door at the other side.
“Dean, Y/N!” Your Dad called, turning your attention away from the backdoor “I’d say we just got lucky.”

You and Uncle Dean came face to face with a huge wooden door- at leas 8 different locks bolting it shut. “I’d say he’s hiding something.” You said, watching as your Dad began to pick the locks.
After a few minutes of fiddling about with them the door swung open to reveal a gloomy looking staircase leading into the dark basement. You descended down in silence, one hand with a torch and the other with a gun.

It was a large-ish room littered with torture devices and blades. You noticed the definite smell of blood and cringed as you shined your torch over the bloody table. The door from upstairs sounded and you froze. The three of you shared a worried look as the footsteps grew loud from the floor above. It must have been the Sheriff.
He crept down the steps, straight towards the three of you. Immediately, you stepped off to the side as not to be the ones at gunpoint. Dean cocked the colt and held it against the Sheriff’s head. “Hey.” He grumbled.

You took the gun from the Sheriff’s grip and held it away from his reaching distance, Uncle Dean hit him against the wall and demanded “Talk.”

“You won’t believe me…” He looked down. You could tell he wasn’t exactly a keen killer. “We’ve got a pretty open mind.” Dad countered.

The Sheriff sighed “My family…we’ve got a secret..Black Bill is us. When we were kids Dad told us about how a monster came to our house and made us rich in return for food.”
“Food?” You narrowed your eyebrows in question.
“Human blood. We made Black Bill up…”
“So who’s the monster?” Uncle Dean questioned.
“Moluch.”

You nodded slowly before saying “The God of sacrifice.”
“That’s right.” The Sheriff nodded sadly. “We starve him until he’ll give us anything we want. In return for some poor son of a bitch’s blood we get rich. But after my Dad died I put a stop to it. I didn’t want to kill anyone, I just wanted to put right what we’d done wrong.”
“So uh, where’s Moluch now?” You asked, peering into the hatch you presumed he’d been in.
“He’s still there. Locked up, hoped he’d starved to death.”
You looked between him and the hatch in confusion “He’s definitely not in here.” You knelt down next to it and shined your torch “Empty.”
“What?” The Sheriff stood up straight and snatched the torch from you, making you sigh. He took a look for himself in fright “No no no…no-” He was cut short by a booming sound from upstairs.

“Stay down here, I’m going up.” Uncle Dean spoke quietly, holding his gun up more than before. “Dean, there could be a God up there.” Dad scoffed at his brother. “I’m cool.” Uncle Dean held the colt up. You couldn’t help but worry about how much he relied on it.

After a few minutes of silence you left the room and crept up to the top of the stairs, perring round the corners- nothing. “Y/N?” Dad called from the bottom “What are you doing? You don’t have the cult! You don’t even have your gun!”
“I don’t need it.” You said, catching a glimpse of the man following Uncle Dean. You left the steps heading up to the first floor so you were following someone following Uncle Dean.
Your Dad watched as you turned the corner, glancing back and forth between the Sheriff and following you. “Y/N!” He hissed, well aware you probably couldn’t hear him.

You ducked behind a wall when the man lunged at Uncle Dean, not sure whether to announce to them you were there or stay hidden. The fought until Uncle Dean parried the wrong way, allowing the man room to flip him over the edge of the stairs. He quickly locked the basement door before your Dad could run out. You stayed hidden, watching as he dragged Uncle Dean out of the building, now wishing you had your gun. When you were certain the coast was clear you headed down and unlocked the door. A very disappointed Dad awaited the other side.
You didn’t know what to do. “Next time, bring a gun.” He scolded, heading out of the building before pausing “Where’s Dean?”
“Taken.” You said, taking your gun back from him and holding your mobile up “Or being taken.”
Dad watched your screen, a small blip appearing as it tracked his phone. He sighed “Okay let’s go.”

“Dean?!” Dad called out. You all crept through the factory, weapons at the ready. “I’ve lost the signal but he’s somewhere around here.” You said, looking about for any niches.
A loud growl echoed throughout the hallways and crates. You all turned, aiming your guns towards the sound, which was a iron door that looked like it could only be opened from this side. You crept towards it, but your eyes averted to the side for a second, noticing a shadowy figure in the corner of your vision. “Right.” You whispered, stepping to the left.
Your Dad glanced at you in confusion before looking past you and noticing what you meant. It was a man with a mask of a satyr- reflecting the fake legend of Black Bill. He lunged at the pair of you, both stepping away from his attack. He then attacked the Sheriff, both of which fell to the floor, wrestling and fighting. The Sheriff tore his mask off and shouted at him “Pete! You’ve got to stop!”
“Don’t act like you care! My whole life I’ve got shit all! The crap!” He kicked the Sheriff away from him and rose, aiming his gun at him “Not anymore. I’m going to be a hero, saving this town,” You watched as your Dad held his gun up “And you’re dea-”
He pulled the trigger, sending Pete to the floor with blood oozing from his wound. You grabbed the colt from him, tossing it at Dad who’d shot the lock. He caught it and swung the door open. You watched as Moluch stared, as if aware of his fate. The gunshot boomed through the metallic structures, ringing off the walls as Moluch’s whole body lit up like lightening coursing through him before he fell away to nothing.

“Colt…” Dad breathed “Dusts anything.”

“You guys should head off.” The Sheriff looked away from his half-brother.
“Sheriff,” Dad sighed “We can hep clean up and-”
“No this I can do…It’s my legacy.”

“Hey, I’ve been thinking,” Uncle Dean said, putting beers down on the table. He glanced at you before handing you one, making you smile “What’s our legacy? Do you think people are gonna remember us in years to come?”
“No.” Dad stated bluntly, making you chuckle. “Well I mean we’re not exactly the type of people to be written about in the History books. But the people we’ve saved. They’ll remember us and then they’ll eventually fade away too. But that’s okay. Because we left the world better than we found it.”
“Wonder what’s gonna happen to this place,” Uncle Dean asked another “After we’re gone.”
“That’s up to this one.” Dad ruffled your hair “There’s gonna be a next generation of Hunters. We’ve already seen glimpses of it: Y/N and Claire.”

Nodding slowly, as if taking in Dad’s words, Uncle Dean flicked his blade out an began carving something into the table. You leaned to the side slightly in order to read it. “What are you doing?”
“Making our mark.”
When he’d finished scratching away at the wood you could read it: ‘DW’. You smiled, watching your Dad take his own blade out and do the same. Then, to your surprise Uncle Dean held the blade out to you and smirked. You looked at it, not sure what to say. He took your hand and placed the blade in it for you “Those initial’s aren’t gonna write themselves.”

You set the pen down and slide the contract towards Jaehyun, which he accepts with a smile.

“It’s a pleasure to do business with you. The terms of the contract take action tomorrow,” he says, folding the document and placing it in the inner pocket of his jacket. He gives another sickeningly sweet smile and walks out of the empty classroom, leaving you to your thoughts.

“What have I done?”

Secret Love Song - Harry Styles Mini Series (Part 5)

Part 4

“Do you want to tell me what the hell happened to you last night?” Your friend demanded as you walked through the supermarket.

“I texted you and told you I left,” you said grabbing some broccoli.

“I know, but you just like disappeared and left your jacket and your unpaid tab,” she said. “So, what the hell happened? Did you freak out?” She asked.

Technically, yes, but you didn’t want to tell her that.

“No, I just, remember the guy I was seeing,” you said. “He was there and we talked about things and then we left together.”

“Well, why didn’t you just say that! I’m perfectly okay with the fact that you left me, knowing that you went and got you some!” she smirked.

You blushed. “We didn’t, we haven’t exactly…” you whispered.

“Really? It’s been what like a few weeks already right?” she asked.

“Yeah, but I mean, we’ve been getting to know each other,” you said. “Which is what you do when you first start seeing someone besides we’re not even official yet.”

“That makes sense,” she nodded. “So, what’s all this for anyway?” she said pointing to your cart full of food.

“He’s uh, he’s coming to my house tonight and I’m cooking dinner,” you said.

“Oooh, are you planning a little something special?” she smirked.

“Oh god, no,” you laughed. “Will you stop with the sex interrogation? We haven’t even talked about going that far yet.”

“But have you thought about it?” She asked.

“Of course I have, I’m human aren’t I?” You said. “It’s just, you know how I am. I have to really like and care about someone before I feel comfortable to go that far.”

“I know, remember when we tried to take you out for a one night stand after your last breakup? That was bad,” she laughed.

“Well, it also didn’t help that the guy you happened to point out was the current boyfriend of the girl that my ex cheated on me with, and that’s how he found out about her cheating on him,” you laughed.

“That’s true,” she laughed. “Anyway, am I ever going to meet or at least know the name of this mystery boy toy?”

You laughed. “You will at some point, I promise, but it’s still really new.”

“You’ve always told me when you’ve been dating someone, so what’s different with this one?” she asked.

“it’s complicated,” you sighed.

“Y/N! You’re not the other woman are you?” She gasped.

“What? No, no, of course not. He’s not married or in a relationship at all,” you said. “It’s just complicated…”

“Does it not want to be seen with you?” She asked.

“It’s sort of the opposite,” you said. “I can’t be seen with him because of… work,” you said.

“Wait, is it someone from work?” She gasped. “Like a coworker?”

“No…” you said.

“ARE YOU DATING A FAMOUS PERSON!” She shouted.

“Oh my god, will you lower your voice,” you hissed looking around at everyone staring.

“Sorry, it’s just a lot to take in,” she said. “Wait a minute… if it’s someone you met at work and you can’t really be seen with them…and you saw him at the club the other night… HOLY FUCKING SHIT ITS HARRY STYLES ISN’T IT?” she shouted.

You groaned. “Sorry, she’s a bit uh… drunk,” you said to an old lady staring.

Once everyone was away, you sighed looking at her. “Yes, okay, I’ve been seeing him,” you said.

“Oh my god! How did you keep this information from me for so long?” she gasped.

“Because I had to,” you sighed. “And you can’t tell anyone.”

“Scouts honor!” she said. “I can’t believe this. This is so cool!”

You laughed. “Come on, I’ve got everything I need.”

“I bet you do,” she smirked.

**

Later that night, you were getting everything ready for the dinner. Harry would be over soon and you were just finishing everything up. You had music playing in the background as you cooked. You were nervous about tonight, especially after your conversation with your friend from earlier.

If you were being honest with yourself, you were definitely ready to take that step with him, but you wanted to wait until you knew where this was going to go.

The doorbell rang and you knew it was Harry. You quickly washed your hands and headed over to the door.

“Hey,” he smiled holding a bottle of wine in his hands.

“Hey, come on in, everything is almost ready,” you smiled.

Harry walked in and you shut the door. He gave you a quick kiss before following you into the kitchen.

“Need any help?” He asked.

“You can pour the wine,” you smiled.

“Sounds good,” he smiled going over to your cabinet and getting two wine glasses.

“How was your day?” You asked.

“It was okay, I had a few radio interviews,” he said.

“Oh, how did those go?” You asked.

“Pretty good,” he smiled. “How about you? Did you go back to work today?”

“No, I’ve been working from home,” you sighed. “I know it seems childish, but Madison just… she irks me the wrong way and I’m just afraid that she’s going to say something and I’m gonna punch her or something.”

“Now, baby, violence is never the answer,” he laughed wrapping his arms around you. “But I do think you should go back to work because the longer you’re gone, the more it looks like she won.”

“You’re probably right,” you sighed.

“I am right,” he smirked.

You rolled your eyes. “Well, Mr. Right, why don’t you go set the table and I’ll bring the food in,” you laughed.

“So, you admit I’m your Mr. Right?” he smirked.

“I never said that,” you laughed.

“Oh, I think you did,” he said walking over to the table.

You laughed shaking your head. You put everything on the table and sit down. You both start eating quickly and Harry looks over at you.

“I’m going to Paris in a few days,” he said. “I have an appearance there on a show and I was sort of wondering if you’d want to go with me?”

“Oh, wow, I’d love to go, but would that be the best idea for us?” You asked. “I mean, how would I go with you and not be seen?”

“I guess I didn’t think about that,” he sighed. “But I mean are we supposed to hide out forever?”

“No,” you sighed.

“Then come with me,” he said. “It’s going to be a big appearance for me and I want my girlfriend to be there with me, plus we’ll have some time to spend in Paris and I’d love to have you there with me.”

You stopped eating and looked up at him. “Girlfriend?”

Harry blushed and took a sip of his wine. “I uh… well… I mean… Aren’t you?”

“I guess, but I didn’t know we were…at that step yet…” you blushed.

“Well, that’s sort of my fault,” he coughed. “I never did really ask you.”

“No, you didn’t,” you laughed. “But I would say yes if you did.”

He smiled taking your hand. “Y/N, will you be my girlfriend and come with me to Paris?” he asked.

“Yeah, I will,” you smiled.

He leaned into kiss you before pulling you out of your chair and into his lap. You laughed wrapping your arms around his neck and looking down at him.

“I really like you,” he whispered.

“And I really like you,” you whispered.

Harry leaned into kiss you and wrapped his arms around your waist. You deepen the kiss and tightened his grip on you. You pull back a bit and turn so that you’re straddling him. He then gets up from the chair to carry you over to the couch. You both practically fall onto the couch and start laughing.

“Oops,” he laughed. “I tripped.”

“Way to go,” you laughed. “Now, come here.”

He smirked and kissed you again. It didn’t take long before you found yourself unbuttoning the rest of shirt. He leaned up a bit from the couch as he helped you take off his shirt and throw it. His hands were making their way up your thighs and sides before pulling you closer to him. He pulled away from your lips and started kissing down your neck. You closed your eyes as you tilted your head to the side.

You felt his hands at the hem of your shirt and touching the skin underneath. You pulled back from the kiss and took it off. Harry smiled and leaned up to kiss you on the lips. You put your hands on the side of his face as you smiled into the kiss.

A half an hour later, Harry pulled away from your neck. “W-We should probably stop,” he whispered.

“Why?” You said kissing his neck.

“Because…as I’m sure you can tell, I’m developing a bit of a problem,” he said.

“Oh, right,” you blushed. “But uh… we don’t have to stop,” you whispered.

“What? I mean, are you sure? We don’t have to do anything,” he said.

“I know, but I want to unless you don’t,” you said.

“It’s not that I don’t because I do, trust me I do, I just don’t want you to feel like pressured or anything,” he said. “I don’t want to rush things with you,”

“Okay, I’m confused,” you said getting off his lap and sitting next to him on the couch.

He tried his best to rearrange himself once you got off of him. “So, you want to have sex with me, but you’re not going to?” You asked.

He sighed grabbing a pillow and looking over at you. “Not tonight,” he said. “I want our first time together to be a bit more romantic than this,” he said pointing to the couch.

“We can go to my bedroom, I wasn’t exactly insinuating that we do it here,” you laughed.

“I know, but I still want it to be more romantic,” he blushed. “And I want to know that we’re both ready for this. I don’t want us to just give in to the moment and then one of us regret it the next morning.”

“If you’re worried about me regretting it, I wouldn’t,” you said.

“I’m glad that you wouldn’t, but still,” he smiled taking your hand. “I would feel better if it happened a different night. I hope you’re mad…”

“Why would I be mad?” You laughed. “It’s okay, really. I understand and I see where you’re coming from and I agree. We hadn’t really talked about it and you’re right, I think we’d both feel better about taking that step when we both are on the same page.”

He smiled. “But I promise you, it will happen soon.”

“Looking forward to it,” you smirked.

**

The next morning you decided that you were going to work. You got up, dressed, and headed out the door. You weren’t exactly gung-ho on going to work, but Harry was right, the longer you avoided Madison, the more she could gloat that she won.

When you arrived at the office, Madison wasn’t there yet, and you couldn’t be happier. You went into your office and started finishing up some things that you had been working on at home.

A few hours later, there was a knock on the door. You opened it and it was a delivery guy holding flowers.

“Are you Y/N?” he asked.

“I am,” you nodded.

“These are for you,” he smiled.

“Oh, thank you,” you said taking them from him. It was a huge bouquet of red and pink roses. You found a card and opened it.

“I figured you might need something to brighten your first day back at the office. Meet me for lunch at noon?” - H.

You smiled widely and put the vase on your desk. You grabbed your phone and texted him that you would meet him, but only at a cafe a few blocks away from the office.

“What’s this?” A voice said standing in your doorway.

You turned around and saw Madison standing there. “Well, I’m not exactly sure, but I think they’re roses,” you rolled your eyes.

“Duh, Y/N. I meant why did you buy yourself roses,” she said.

“I didn’t buy myself roses, they were sent to me,” you said.

“But who?” She scoffs.

“None of your business,” you said.

“No need to get defensive, Y/N,” she said. “Anyway, glad to see you back at work.”

“Thanks,” you mumbled before going back to work.

When it came time to leave for lunch, you left your office and got in your car. You drove to the restaurant that you were meeting Harry at and walked inside. Harry was already there and sitting at a back table that was pretty private.

He hugged you tightly when you got there before giving you a quick kiss and you two sat down at the table. Before you could even say anything to him, someone walked up to the table. You figured it was the waiter, but you quickly found out that it wasn’t.

“Well, well, well, what do we have here?” Madison smirked crossing her arms as she looked at you and Harry.
