PART 10 - "THE LOFT"
START READING HERE :
I wake up in my dark room, to see the moon shining throughmy window.
Damn, how long did I sleep?
I reach over and turn on the lamp on my bedside table. The clock on my wall says 9 p.m.
Holy shit, I slept through the entire day.
I check my phone, still blowing up with notifications that I am avoiding, the date is February 14th, it’s Valentine’s Day.
The boys probably forgot too, so hopefully they didn’t get me anything.
I get out of bed, rub the sleep out of my eyes, and put some leggings on. Still wearing Matt’s shirt, I leave my room and go downstairs.
It’s dark downstairs, but there’s candles lit. I walk into the living room near the kitchen area and seeing the boys dressed nice and greeting me.
“Hey sleepy head.”
“Did you sleep well?”
“How are you feeling?”
I respond with, “Thanks for letting me sleep guys, and you all look amazing. Sorry for looking like”
They all tell me to hush. I look at the dinner table to find a ton of take out and my favorite movies laid out for me, along with presents.
Damnit, I didn’t get them anything.
“Guys, you didn’t have to. I totally-“
Shawn interrupts, “We wanted to. Valentine’s Day is all about your favorite girl, and your all of ours favorite girl. Tonight’s about you.”
The rest of the boys nod, agreeing with what Shawn said.
Matthew walks to the table and pulls out a seat for me, motioning for me to sit down.
The boys all sit down around the table when I say, “You’re all kind of dressed up, and I’m still in the outfit I slept in.”
They all disagree with me, of course.
We start eating the Chinese food, and having our own little conversations. I sit between Jack G and Cam, with Matt straight across from me.
Matt looks at me every couple seconds and smiles at me.
I look over to Jack and say, “Thanks for helping me sleep, I really needed it.”
“I can say the same to you,” he replies.
“What do you mean?”
“I couldn’t sleep either, I just woke up a couple hours ago,” he says to me while tucking a piece of my messy, uncombed hair behind my ear.
On the other side of the table, Nash says to me while interrupting Jack and I,
“Time for (Y/N) to open presents!”
“Oh gosh,” I smile while blushing.
The boys start handing me presents, one by one.
Cameron got me a dozen roses and chocolate, Nate got me a Victoria’s Secret gift card, Nash got me a couple books I’ve been wanting, Shawn got me more vinyl for my record player, Matthew bought me a heart charm to add to my necklace with keys on it, basically each boy bought me something, except for Gilinsky.
I thank all the boys, getting out of my chair to hug them individually.
“You guys spoil the shit out of me, how did I get so lucky?”
Johnson says, responding for all the boys, “If anyone deserves it, it’s you.”
I sit back down, listening to them all talk about memories from tour, when I hear Gilinsky whisper to me, just so I can hear,
“Don’t worry, I didn’t forget about you.”
We all stand up from the table, throwing out the leftovers; I stand in the kitchen, talking to Matt.
“Thanks for the charm babe, it’s so pretty,” I say looking at the small gold pendent in the Pandora box.
“Not as pretty as you, even when you just woke up. Here, take off the necklace and I’ll put the charm on and put it back on you,” he says turning me around.
I lift up my hair and he unclasps my necklace. I turn back around and watch him put the charm onto the chain, next to the small keys. After he puts the charm on, he turns me around again to put the necklace on me. He whispers in my ear,
“I’ll never be able to get enough of you,” and kisses my neck.
I turn around to face him once again, and say, “Good, because I feel the same way,” I get on my tiptoes and kiss his cheek.
I see Gilinsky gesturing me to come over to him.
“I’m gonna go talk to Jack, thanks again for the charm babe,” I say to Matt and smile as I walk away.
Walking up to Jack, he tells me,
“Happy Valentine’s Day.”
He pulls out a small, mint blue Tiffany & Co. box.
I gasp a little, and say “Jack, this is too much, I can’t-“
He interrupts and tells me to just open it.
I open the box to see a small ring,
It’s engraved with the words, “Love you forever.”
Jack takes it out of the box and puts it on my left ring finger while saying,
“Look, I know we’re not together. Maybe we never will be,” he looks down at my fingers, holding them still even after the ring is on, “but this is a promise to always be here to make you cereal at five in the morning and make sure you sleep tight.”
I look at him, in the eyes, and say, “Jack, I can’t even begin to thank you for this. It’s gorgeous.”
“Well I wasn’t about to buy an ugly ring for a perfect girl,” he says letting out a small laugh.
I finally just wrap my arms around him and hug him. It takes him a second, but he wraps his muscular arms around me.
After standing there for a second, we release from our hug as we hear Sammy say loud enough for us all to hear,
“Okay (Y/N), what chick-flick do you wanna watch first?”
I bite my lip and think for a second.
“10 Things I Hate About You. I’ll go put it in!” I say in an excited quirky voice, running over to the living room. I see the Blu-ray player underneath the extremely large flat screen hanging on the wall, and put in the movie.
All the guys follow and come sit on the huge couch that is shaped like an L.
We all sit down and wait for the movie to start; I’m sitting between Matt and Jack G.
While the previews are running, I get comfortable between the two boys. I lean my back onto Jack and place my legs across Matt’s lap.
The movie starts, and I am still able to recite the entire movie.
I have to use the restroom about half way through the movie and make the boys pause it.
I come back after using the bathroom, and before playing the movie again, the boys are still fully involved in a conversation.
Getting situated, Cameron asks me, interrupting the group discussion to involve me,
“So, (Y/N), if you could go anywhere, right now, where would
I think about my answer for a second before replying, and say,
“I don’t know, why?”
“We were talking about how we need to live in the moment more, we’re not getting any younger,” Johnson says.
“I’d go to the beach, that sounds good,” I say before pressing play.
The movie begins to play again for a couple second before Matt gets up and turns off the T.V.
“Matthew, what the h-“
“Let’s go,” he says looking at all the boys and me.
“Go where?” I ask.
“To the beach. Didn’t you say you would want to go?”
“Yeah… but I-“
Gilinsky interrupts, “Then what’s stopping you? Let’s go. You guys down?”
The guys responses mainly consist of the words, “Hell yeah, we’re down.”
“Okay, guess we’re going to the beach at midnight; Road trip,” I say standing up from the couch.

A/N: This chapter was actually WAAAAY TOO LONG, and I cut it in half because I wasn’t done plus it would’ve been too long. Hope you guys are still enjoying, make sure to send me feedback and requests for the next part so that I know when to update. Love you guys! Thanks for all the support and love recently, i’ve been going through some stuff and you guys have been great. Much love. x - taylermarie. :)
