40 Day Pokemon Challenge // Day 35

Favorite Movie: Destiny Deoxys

While Hoenn was my least favorite region (as previously mentioned) and I absolutely loathe May, I loved this movie. And I really hate aliens, too. I’m xenophobic (fear of aliens) and, yes, the idea of an alien Pokemon scares me. So why do I like this movie and why is it my favorite?

  • There’s a dude with a Blastoise. A Blastoise who kicks ass in a tag team battle with a Blaziken.
  • Plusle + Minun are adorable.
  • There is a kid who is petrified of Pokemon.
  • Catchy music.
  • An epic battle of territory.
  • Munchlax (whom Max should have got IMHO, not May)
  • La Rousse City looks like loads of fun
  • Storyline was pretty cool for an alien invaders kind of thing
  • “Rebecca” and her Metagross

16. A movie set in a different country → Chocolat (2000) || France

“Once upon a time, there was a quiet little village in the French countryside, whose people believed in Tranquilité - Tranquility. If you lived in this village, you understood what was expected of you. You knew your place in the scheme of things. And if you happened to forget, someone would help remind you. In this village, if you saw something you weren’t supposed to see, you learned to look the other way. If perchance your hopes had been disappointed, you learned never to ask for more. So through good times and bad, famine and feast, the villagers held fast to their traditions. Until, one winter day, a sly wind blew in from the North …”

90s Teen Movie Challenge: [3/6] Comedies

↳ “That thing, that moment, when you kiss someone and everything around becomes hazy and the only thing in focus is you and this person and you realize that that person is the only person that you’re supposed to kiss for the rest of your life, and for one moment you get this amazing gift and you want to laugh and you want to cry because you feel so lucky that you found it and so scared that that it will go away all at the same time.” Never Been Kissed (1999) dir. Raja Gosnell.
