(Part 1) OMGOMG okay so I have ADHD and I am 150% sure Laura has it too because
-can’t stay still/has a thing for sports(probs not only bc of sherman’s paranoia)
!!EVERYTHING IS MY FAULT™!!
-really tends to hyperfocus(18hour workday)
-tries to be organized(otherwise her worlds goes to shit)
-a little bit childish
Part2) -if things aren’t the way she imagined,it can really affect her -fixated on perfecting herself/working hard(i tend to go all or nothing in almost everything I do) I mean, how come no one ever talked about this?I’m 120%sure they didn’t write anything like this in the movie, but it would have been so cool for Laura to canonically have ADHD,although I’m,again, sure she has it.Everytime I see her mannerism and the way she talks, she just reminds ne of it.A things that ppl without it
(Part3)don’t understand,it’s that it is ingrained in our personality. It isn’t really like anxiety and depression,it shouldn’t always be wished away,it can be a blessing, even if I feel it’s more of a pain in the ass most of the time. And I remember in s3 Betty said smth about Laura’s intelligence that shouldn’t have bothered her the way it did(at least from the look on her face;probs I’m just reaching now). But honest to god, homegirl is ADHD all the way.She started a kindergarten uprising ffs😂😂
Wow I’ve never really put much thought into Laura having ADHD but now that you’ve pointed all these things out, I can totally see what you mean! She’s also very impulsive and tends to run headfirst into danger without considering the consequences, like when she and Laf went into the library in s1, or how she was so eager to play Scrabble against Erishkigal in s3 and was willing to play a much harder rematch until Carm persuaded her not to. I mean, “Laura no” is practically Carmilla’s catchphrase. Excellent headcanon, I would love to read more about this!
Aaah, the Lethifold! One of my favourite creatures from reading the book as a child. Thanks to @zinfandelli for suggesting it as a creature, I was psyched to draw Credence with one. (And of course I saw the official design on the bluray just as I was about to start colouring, and had to change up a bunch of stuff from my sketch haha) Art blog: questionartbox
I’ve had this idea of druid/emissary Stiles capturing a kelpie in my head for a while now hah.
Kelpies are malevolent shape-shifting water spirits from Scottish folklore, most commonly portrayed as horses, who lure their victims to them and trick them into touching or riding the kelpie, before drowning and devouring them. According to one of the tales, if a kelpie appears already wearing a bridle, it can be captured by removing the bridle. A captured kelpie supposedly has the strength and stamina of at least ten horses, and its bridle has magical powers.
If you haven’t already, you gotta go see the new Power Rangers movie. You must. Don’t let anyone be like “that’s for kids” because it’s so dope for all ages. Power Rangers has: a diverse cast of layered characters, correct LGBT representation, correct autism representation (which is as rare as a good Shondaland plot twist) good humor, a good soundtrack, action scenes that will make you be like: OH, SHIT but in the good way, and every member of the squad is loveable in their own ways, even the straight white boy lead. Go and see it. Take your friends and family. Go. Seriously, go!
Long before joining 17, I already started working in the entertainment industry, it’s been around 18 years. Since I was two years old in China, I’ve appeared in TV shows, dramas, movies, and commercials as a child actor. I’ve also walked for a fashion show.
