movie streaming services

Welcome to wlw movie club!

Hi I’m Autumn (@movielesbian) and I wanted to start a group for wlw movie nights. I hope to start streaming movies on a service like or livestream on at least a monthly basis (hopefully more often depending on everyone’s schedule). If people are interested we could also start a group chat on discord or another service.

Ideally I want to start irl movie meet ups, but we’ll see how the digital version goes first.

I’m new to organizing this sort of thing so if you have any suggestions (for movies we should watch, how to run things, what time/day is best to stream, etc) please lmk!

I also want to make it clear that trans wlw and nonbinary people who identify with the wlw community are welcome! I’m hoping this won’t be an issue in the first place, but I will do my best to block people who are causing problems (whether they are transphobic, racist, biphobic, homophobic, etc).

Hallmark Movies Now: Small Gifts

If you have access to the Hallmark Movies Now streaming service, you can now watch Small Gifts, a Christmas-themed movie starring Jessica Steen. (Hallmark Movies Now is available on devices like Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Android TV, Google Chromecast, Samsung and Sony TV’s and Blu-Ray players, iPhone, iPad, Android devices, etc.).

The made-for-TV movie came out back in 1994, and earned Steen a Gemini Award (Canadian equivalent of an Emmy) for her lead role.

Check it out if you can!

Game of Bones: Blinkbox has teamed up with three adorable pugs to create the cutest Game of Thrones remake ever. With season four of Game of Thrones having drawn to a dramatic close, the movie and TV streaming service has produced their very own homage to the hit HBO series to help tide fans over. Roxy, Blue and Bono love nothing more than dressing up as their favourite characters but they are fortunately much cuter than the baddies they portray. Owners Phillip Lauer, 57 and his wife Sue, 47 have been dressing their pugs up as characters from cinema and TV since they were puppies. The fourth instalment of the critically acclaimed drama Game of Thrones is available now to buy from Tesco’s streaming service blinkbox.Picture: Phillip Lauer / Barcroft Media

So I was poking around the New World Cinemas website again looking for more ridiculous stuff to make fun of, and as I scrolled down the main page, I came across a big ol’ link to something called “Yidro TV”.

I clicked on it, and sure enough, it’s an ILLEGAL STREAMING SITE! So these guys who claim they’re distributing Godzilla Resurgence are in some way affiliated (and by the looks of it share the same web designer) with an illegal movie streaming service that looks like it would probably give you viruses if you felt so inclined to use it.

So, there you go. To everything they’ve said about their plans to release the movie, I’m inclined to say
