Random toy sighting!

Here’s a look at the T-800 from Todd McFarlane’s Movie Maniacs line.

At least I think it’s the T-800, it might be the T-101 or something else, I don’t know. It’s the one that Arnold Schwarzenegger played in those Terminator movies.

This was a Christmas gift from my very good friend Devon a couple of years ago. The thing is I accidentally packed it away with the decorations and didn’t see it again for another year.

Then I decided to just pack him away again, so now every December when we break out the decorations out comes the T-800 and I’m surprised all over again.

Today I’m putting everything away, so he’s going back in the box. See you next December Terminator!

Don’t forget, Sunday is the penultimate post in my Visionaries series, and it’s a two-fer!

Ash Williams of Army Of Darkness from the Movie Maniacs line by Mcfarlane Toys.

Through out my high school years,I was a huge horror movie fan,and one of my favorite series till this days is the Evil Dead trilogy. This figure on its sculpt alone is….not too bad,it has all the traits of Bruce Campbell there, the accessories are pretty nice, the Necronomicon is spot on,the chainsaw looks fantastic.

But the construction & materials are absolute shit. Hell,Mcfarlane Toys are some of the crappiest toys known to man. I’ve seen bootleg toys from China & Mexico that had better construction than this company. I messed around with the limbs,Both the right hand and and the right arm snapped off at the peg,but thanks to the miracle of super glue,I was able to fix it.

At least Mezco & NECA learned from Mcfarlane’s mistakes. One one hand Im happy to have this version of Ash,but on the other hand,Fuck you Mcfarlane, you cheap son of a bitch. 2 ½ out of 5.
