At some point, Fred said ‘No, no, no this isn’t good enough, I have to go higher here, I have to put more into this, I have to get more power in.’ So he downs a couple of more vodkas, stands up, and goes for it. And you can hear the middle eight of 'Mother Love’ just soars to incredible heights…. and this is a man who can’t really stand any more without incredible pain and is very weak, has no flesh on his bones, and you can hear the power, the will he’s got.
—  Brian May in a BBC Radio 1 interview in 1995

we are our moon sign as babies and young children, this is when we still have maternal consciousness too (no separation from self and mother)
we are more mercury in early education
jupiter and the moon rules hormones so we can emanate this more through adolescence
we are saturn as elders, usually there have been 2 or 3 saturn returns, so the wisdom appears

Astrology made simple (sort of).

Alright, so the title might be a bit misleading.

There isn’t anything simple about astrology.

I could go into the history of astrology, and maybe I will at some point, but because of how long and convoluted that post would be, it’s not gonna happen today. It will def be a ranty post due in large part to the attitude that some take on the subject, and lets just say I’m not in the mood to be ranty atm, so I’ll save it for a rainy day.

For now I’d like to help some of you guys make a little more sense of the actual study of astrology.

Most people start with the zodiac, and that’s great if you already know it and it’s meanings. It’s a good start, but not where I’d suggest starting if you know absolutely nothing. First you’ll want to learn the planets and luminaries and their character traits. If you already know the zodiac but are confused on the planets, this could be a good start for you, too.

(The only luminary not in the above picture is the moon, which orbits the earth while the earth orbits the sun, but the moon is very important in astrology. The earth isn’t discussed in astrology because it’s considered a given, since it’s your home and where you reside, it’s viewed as the center of a natal chart and doesn’t need to be pointed out in readings. Ignore the part about the plane of Ecliptic, I’ll get to that later on in a more advanced post.)

It’s important to know that everything in astrology is linked to a planet (luminaries are considered planets in astrology for the sake of simplicity). Literally. Planets rule the houses in astrology as well as the signs of the zodiac. It’s all layered and linked together.

When you read your horoscope in a magazine, what you’re reading about is your sun sign. That is because the sun is literally the largest part of the solar system, taking up 99.8% of it’s mass. Because of this, the sun in astrology represents the ego (and the sign of Leo as well as the 5th house), and can seem like the most important planet in astrology, though that isn’t always the case.

So yeah, let’s start simple:

Sun = Ego

Moon = Emotion/ represents the mother and home

Mercury = The mind/ communication/ details

Venus = Love/ beauty/ romance/ tangible possessions/ money and resources

Mars = The physical body/ aggression/ basic sexual nature

Jupiter = Expansion/ luck/ higher consciousness

Saturn = (Hard) Lessons learned/ restrictions/ the father/ success

Uranus = Humanity/ friends/ rebellion/ sudden change

Neptune = Spirituality/ mysticism/ vagueness/ illusion/ psychic ability/ addiction

Pluto= Power/ death/ rebirth/ occult/ obsession/ also sex, but of a darker nature

 It takes time to get the basic word association down to each planet, but you’ll get there.

 Again, this is for beginners, so it’s meant to be simple for a reason. If you’re more advanced in astrology, I’ll be adding posts on aspects and chart readings later.

In my next post, I’ll start adding in the houses and probably the zodiac. If anyone happens to see this and has any questions, please feel free to reach out to me, I’m really happy to help. :)

First part of my “Metal GIRLS Solid” project is finished.

Strangelove, The Boss and Eva ( Metal Gear Solid )

Next part: soon!

I feel like the sun is a goofy father with annoying dad jokes while the moon is like a worrisome sort of mother. Mercury is like a little brother who is way too excited about Minecraft, and Venus is like a boy-crazy preteen sister who has dozens of One Direction posters. Mars is like an aggressive and angry teenage brother who gets in fights with everyone at school for no reason and jerks off all the time, and Saturn is like an extremely annoying, nagging older sister who tells your parents everything. Jupiter feels like an easy-going, wise grandparent who buys you great presents when they go on vacation, and Uranus feels like a punk older cousin who buys alcohol for you. Neptune is like a weird artsy aunt whom no-one has heard from in years because she’s probably off traveling the world, and Pluto is like a baby in the family who doesn’t like anyone and just cries all the time and tries to bite people.

  • The first one is that you have the 12 houses and a sign in each one of them, it describes how you will handle these aspects in your life
  • The second one is that you have a house in each planet, for example if you're a Taurus Jupiter and you're born while Jupiter was in the 6th house you are a Jupiter Taurus in the 6th house, the 6th house is the home of Virgo, so that means you're a Jupiter Taurus Virgo, its like a second sign but less prominent
  • And now here are the houses and what aspect in life they rule, you can use this in the first way of houses and how they are used

  • -
  • COMPATIBILITY: of course some signs get along better than others, that doesn't say that some signs don't have a chance together, each combination is possible and unique, some just need a bit more dedication
  • Also YOU CANT BASE COMPATIBILITY OFF OF ONLY YOUR SUN SIGN, there are more signs and of course no one will match perfect with each sign, so that's how you can see where you need to work on in the relationship,
  • An Example would be if you have a aries sun and the other person a Leo sun (planet of your ego and personality) it would match when it comes down to basic personality traits, because these two signs are very compatible
  • but if you have a Gemini mercury (the planet of the mind and communication) and the same other person has a Pisces mercury there may be some problems with communication and beliefs because Pisces and Gemini are less compatible
  • But now I'll explain how I know and calculate which signs are compatible, for this it is important to know the order and groups the signs are in (you can look back at the group part in this article)
  • -
  • 100% compatible: the best combination for each sign is one of the same element or the next masculine/feminine sign
  • For example, lets take Sagittarius (Fire and Masculine) best matches for this sign would be Aries and Leo (also fire) or Aquarius (the next sign after Sagittarius that is also masculine)
  • Another example is Pisces (Water and Feminine) the best matches would be Scorpio and Cancer (also water) or Taurus (the next sign after Pisces that is also feminine)
  • -
  • 90% compatible: the second best combination for each sign is their sister sign or the feminine/masculine sign before them
  • So again for example Sagittarius (Masculine) their second best match would be Gemini (their sister sign ) or libra (the first masculine sign before them)
  • Again another example Pisces (Feminine) their second best match would be Virgo (their sister sign)or Capricorn (the first feminine sign before them)
  • -
  • 50% compatible: the half/half matches are matches that could work but need some attention and effort.
  • These are the signs that are ruled by the same planet or are from the same category out of the fixed, mutable and cardinal signs
  • For example for Taurus libra would be a challenge but still has change of working because they are both ruled by Venus
  • Second example is Pisces and Sagittarius they are both cardinal signs so it could be possible
  • Another and last example is Virgo and Gemini, I'd give these a 60% because they are both ruled by the same planet AND they are both mutable signs
  • -
  • 30% compatible: the signs that are around the other sign,
  • So for example for Sagittarius Capricorn or Scorpio would be a hard match because Sagittarius stands between Scorpio and Capricorn on the list
  • And lastly I'd give 30% to the signs that have nothing in common,
  • So no same element, no fixed/mutable/cardinal/feminine/masculine similarity, and no same planet
  • For example Capricorn (Earth/Feminine/Cardinal/Saturn) and Gemini (Air/Masculine/Mutable/Mercury)

  • DON'T FORGET TO REBLOG IF HELPFUL BECAUSE I DEDICATED A WHOLE DAY TO THIS
2

Apparently Leonard has a nine year old dog named Max, that lives on his Ma’s farm while he is away in Starfleet. The picture above is obviously of Max when he was younger. Leonard found him abandoned a month or so after Jocelyn had kicked him out in 2254.

This is a thing now.

He also has a horse named Mercury that also stays on his mother’s farm. Mercury is a very particular stallion who will only let Leonard ride him, anyone else gets thrown off.

2

Outtake of the day:

The table behind my sims got their food before them, and there was no one there. Which I thought was weird, but it only became weirder when Mercury’s dad and the mother of one of Mercury’s friends were the ones dining together. Mercury’s mother also came to request a seat later. Guess that’s happening.

Mother Earth meets Mercury

Mercury is LITERALLY SMOL becuz she is the smallest planet in the solar system d=(´▽`)=b

Mother Earth’s clothes is too hard to draw ;-; trust me, my head hurts when I tried to draw it Σ( ° △ °|||)

Trashy, is there some sort of sibling relationship on planets? XD Just thought of it since Mercy is the first planet in Solar System XD just thinking tho (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
