Underrated Sunday: Michiko & Hatchin

The story of an escaped con who kidnaps a girl from an abusive home. They go on the run together on a wild search for Hatchin’s father, who also is Michiko’s former lover. I’m posting this on Mother’s Day because this showcases one of my all-time favorite surrogate mother-daughter relationships in anime. The character development is SO GOOD, too.
