mostly because i love her

Tracey Gordon, the protagonist in the Netflix hit show, Chewing Gum — a British comedy about a 20-something Christian woman on a quest to lose her virginity and find herself — is weird. The fact is, if I knew her in real life, she’d probably irritate me a lot. And yet, I love her.

I don’t just love her because we’re both British-born Africans. Or that, like her, I lived in public housing for part of my childhood, or that we both have dirty laughs. I love her because she, mostly, succeeds in breaking free from what society and her faith have told her she should be and how she should act.

In ‘Chewing Gum,’ Tracey Is The Quirkiest And Freest Character On TV

LBM17 is over, but I have a little gem for you: Visiting my favorite “item shop” on the convention. I went there like 5 times a day (because it was nice and cheap) and greeted the cute cashier this way upon entering. Always.

The convention was amazing. Being Ardyn for three days (instead of two) was the best thing ever. Really. It was so much fun meeting all the other FFXV Cosplayers. Maybe a small selfie-post will follow later. (and i have a cute little clip of Noctis)

Feel like I’ve mostly just been posting dude art recently?? And i am not about that gender imbalance!  especially bc i have a lot of ladies in my sketchbook! I just hardly ever post anything from my sketchbook so they are invisible to the world ;-;

first one is Beanie, the trinket shop owner in the seaside town for the eel story, second is Vanda and her flower gf which i have yet to name! but she is purple :y, and the last is Rhea because i love everything about her!

What’s so interesting about the LOC letters and getting all this additional information is that it again makes clear that Hamilton and Eliza did not like to be apart.

So often, if he goes to Albany without her, it’s because the kids are sick and they can’t travel and, obviously, Eliza won’t leave them.  There are tons of letters where Philip Schuyler is like “we were so looking forward to seeing you, and I’m so sorry my Dear James is sick and prevented you from accompanying my Dear General.”

It again just throws out the narrative that Hamilton didn’t like her or was somehow only tolerating her or something. And it really portrays their marriage as strong and their family of the upmost importance to them.
