Phone Call

content: Dean gets a phone call at work. And the person on the other end of the line is not the one he expected.

word count: 1,147

[AO3]

Dean almost ignores the ringing cell phone next to him on the table because he’s seriously not in the mood to talk to anyone with an empty stomach and only about fifteen minutes left of his lunch break to change that.

But as soon as he notices the name “CAS” flashing on his phone’s screen Dean finds himself smiling brightly, the sandwich in front of him forgotten.

“Hey, Cas,” he says cheerfully after picking up. The warmth in his chest spreads instantly just thinking about the man on the other end of line and he feels like a giddy teenager once again. It’s been about ten months since they made their relationship official and Dean can’t imagine this intense feeling of rightness to ever go away.

“Hey, Dean,” a voice greets him that is most definitely not Castiel, sounding way too young and way too female.

Dean, however, doesn’t feel put out by it. On the contrary, his grin only grows.

“Claire, honey,” he says gently. “Does your dad know you’re using his phone?”

“Yes,” Claire claims, though there is a waver in her tone Dean knows way too well.

He narrows his eyes. “Are you lying to me right now? Remember what we told you about that?”

Claire sighs as if it’s a heavy burden to put up with some grown-ups. “Daddy knows,” she insists. “He gave it to me, so I can play with it.”

Dean chuckles. “Playing Candy Crush is not the same as calling some people, sweetie. Can you imagine the phone bill if you’d accidentally dial someone in China?”

“I don’t wanna call China,” she counters, the frown on her face actually audible through the phone. “I just wanna call you.”

Dean feels his heart seize. “That’s very sweet, Claire –”

“I miss you,” she interjects, her voice lower all of a sudden. “When will you be back and make us some burgers?”

“Competitive Hand-holding.”

Kind of a pre-Kacchako/vaguely hinted at Kacchako fic, where due to a dare and a bad pick up line, Ochako ends up getting Bakugou to hold her hand. 1200 words approx, flufy and silliness. Partially inspired by this pick up line. (And of course by Sai. Because let’s be honest, I wouldn’t even think of Kacchako things if not for her.)

It started because Mina found a book of intentionally bad pick-up lines.

All the girls were sitting in the common area of the dorms, doing homework or talking, when Mina arrived and gleefully showed them the book. When no one made any objections, Mina started to read out the most amusing or absurd examples at random as she flipped pages. As time went on they got progressively worse, until they got so bad that Kyoka threw a cushion at Mina’s head.

New Man (Part 4)

His hand landed on your hip and he pinched at your skin. “I regret leaving you, Y/N. So I’m fixing my mistakes. I want this. I want you back in my life and I want my family back. Will you marry me?”

You felt exhausted and your body ached as you forced yourself out from bed. You had felt like this for about a week now. It seemed like each day you were feeling tired more than ever. You found yourself shuffling into the bathroom and let out a huff. The change had hit you slowly; the feeling of being exhausted and bloated wasn’t fun. It had gotten to the point where you were starting to wonder if you were becoming sick. You grabbed your toothbrush from its place and wet the bristles before spreading the toothpaste on it. You were finally off from work, but that didn’t mean you didn’t have stuff to do. With a toddler you were always at work. After Scott and Raine had met three weeks ago he had been spending more time at your home and even spending the night. It was part of your way to ease Raine into seeing Scott frequently. If he was going to be in your every day life then being around your daughter was a must.

It hadn’t dawned on you that you had nearly slept the morning away. The minute your eyes landed on the clock you went into a frenzy. You and Luke had an appointment with a possible daycare center Raine would be attending. The meeting was at 12:30 and already it was 11:50. You still weren’t dressed and Raine was most likely asleep since you hadn’t woken her up or fed her at all. You swiped your phone from off the charger and dialed up Luke. You pressed the phone up to your ear and raced into Raine’s room. “Come on Raine Cloud we gotta go,” you cooed, running your finger over her cheek. It was a habit you had picked up from Luke, a method he used to wake her up. The sound of Luke’s voicemail filled the line and you let out a groan. Once Raine had stirred twice at your actions, you picked her up from the crib. At the same time you called Luke again this time putting the call on speaker as you went to change Raine.

“Hello?” Luke’s voice filled the air making you let out a sigh of relief. You began to take Raine’s pajamas off and grabbed the baby wipes.

“Hey so I woke up late and I’m just waking Raine up now,” you told him, “We might be like two minutes late, but just wait for us outside the daycare alright?” You grabbed a fresh diaper from a stack and grinned at Raine. “Good morning sleepy head,” you cooed at the child, lifting her legs up to slide the new diaper under her. You were never late for anything, so at the moment your whole day was at a setback.

“Why don’t I just pick you two up? I’m at Ashton’s right now so I’m literally down the street and that saves you time on trying to find a place to park,” Luke replied, you could hear shuffling and voices in the background. Your face scrunched up at his words and you began to chew on your bottom lip in thought. Somehow Luke could sense your hesitation and he spoke up before you could say anything. “Y/N you’re already running late just let me make it easier for you. I’ll be there in ten,” Luke said.

“Fine. Can you pick up breakfast too? I’ll give Raine a bottle for now, but I don’t have time to eat,” you agreed. Luke had muttered something you couldn’t quite hear, but you assumed it was that he was on his way. “Thanks I’ll see you soon,” you said, ending the call. “You ready to see daddy?” you asked, Raine, tickling her stomach and making her laugh. You placed her down and began to look in the closet for some clothes. Finally you had settled on dressing Raine in a polka dot dress Liz had gotten for her with a gold bow to match. By the time you had laid her down on the toy mat in the living room and made a bottle, Luke had arrived.

“Why aren’t you dressed?” Luke questioned the minute he took a look at you. Your hand went up to grab your hair and you gave him a sheepish smile. You handed the bottle of formula over to him.

“Shit I’m like scattered brained today,” you sighed. Luke’s eyebrows furrowed at your words and he watched as you raced to your room to get ready. A thought entered his mind and he shook it away not wanting to believe what he was thinking was actually happening. Minutes later you emerged ready to go. “Do I look okay?” you asked Luke, turning around so that he could see your outfit at full. You wanted to make a good impression on the principal of the daycare. Luke’s eyes scanned over your body and he smiled to himself. Your eyebrows rose at him in question and he cleared his throat.

“Y-Yeah you look great,” he said, going back to getting Raine in her shoes and jacket. You collected your stuff and the three of you left out to catch your meeting. The car ride was abnormally quite and for some reason you felt nervous about being around Luke. Your dynamic with him had always been weird ever since you two split up. Co-parenting with someone you had once loved, possibly still loved was never easy. “Oh I got you some Dunkin’ Donuts it’s in the backseat,” Luke commented, eyes locked on the road as he hummed along to the music. You turned in your spot and reached for the brown paper bag. Silence filled the air once again and you opened the bag. Inside was about four donuts. Two of them being your favorite and the other two jelly filled. You grabbed the chocolate glazed donut and took a bite out of it. Your face scrunched up as you began to chew, the feeling of nausea hitting you. You tossed the donut back into the bag and grabbed the jelly filled one instead. “So uh how’s Steven?” Luke questioned, trying to make small talk. He glanced into the rear view mirror to take a look at Raine. She was busy watching some cartoon you had placed on and drinking the baby formula.

“Scott,” you corrected through a mouth full of powdered jelly donut. Luke glanced over to you and did a double take.

“Hey! I grabbed the jelly filled for myself. Chocolate one is for you,” he commented. You took another bite of the donut and shook your head. “Scott I mean. How’s Scott?” Luke asked, turning the corner. The two of you had five minutes before the appointment started. You swallowed the food and let out a deep sigh.

“He’s good. How are the boys?” you muttered, trying to change the subject. You didn’t feel like talking about Scott mainly because recently the two of you had gotten into an argument which as a result you weren’t talking at the moment, and you didn’t want Luke to know about it. “I should really stop by and see them,” you said. You use to have a close relationship with Luke’s friends. Ever since the breakup you had distance yourself from them. Luke pulled into the parking lot of the daycare and stopped the car.

“They’re good. Crazy bunch like always,” he said, grabbing the bag from you and pulling out the second powdered jelly donut. “You didn’t even touch the ones I got you,” he sighed, still on the fact that you were eating his donut.

“The taste of it makes me want to throw up,” you nonchalantly told him, unbuckling your seat belt. Your words had made Luke pause in action and the thought he had from earlier entered his mind. “Okay are you ready?” you said, lifting down the visor so you could look at your reflection. You wiped the powder off your lips and reapplied your lipstick. You got out the car and Luke went to unbuckle Raine from the car seat. The minute she had Luke’s attention she began to talk to him about the show she had just watched. He carried Raine as you both walked towards the entrance of the daycare. You had been looking around for a few daycare centers for about two months now. It was getting to a point where neither you or Luke wanted to pay for a sitter while you both worked. At least with the daycare Raine would be in one place with other children. If you and Luke needed a sitter over the weekend or at night then it’ll work out. After looking around and arguing with Luke about which daycare would be best, the two of you finally agreed on one. Now it was time for you to talk with the principal and get a tour of the place before you actually decided.

“Now we do keep the children for just an hour after the daycare closes just in case the parents are running late,” the principal said, handing both you and Luke a pamphlet. “Of course we don’t want the parents to make a habit out of it so the limit stops at four,” he explained. You and Luke nodded at his words and you flipped through the pamphlet.

“Some weekends Raine will be with her dad, so do I need to call you all in advance to let you know he’ll be picking her up?” you asked, pen poised in one hand as you looked up at the principal.

“That wouldn’t be necessary because you’re both enrolling her into the daycare. If it was just you signing the papers and we haven’t really discussed her father then yes we would need to be notified. Now this is for anyone picking Raine up on your behalf.” You nodded at his words and began to scribble down some notes. Raine was sat in your lap, head rested on your chest and sucking at her thumb. She had been quiet throughout the whole meeting so far. “This daycare is focused on taking care of the child, so if you have any more questions please do ask,” he smiled.

“Do you all teach the children? I know once they get to kindergarten that they’ll start to learn the basics, but Raine is one years old and still learning to talk, so I was wondering if you all teach the children words and read to them,” Luke questioned, his eyebrows rose up at the end of his question. You found yourself smiling at what he said. Even though Luke didn’t seem to care much about anything he was always serious when it came to talking about his daughter. Wanting only the best for her at all times.

“Yes we do teach the children,” the principal responded, “We don’t go as into teaching that an actual school would do, but we will help the children develop basic language skills and help them interact with other children their age.” Luke nodded seeming to be satisfied with the answer he received. His attention turned towards you.

“Should we ask about discipline?” Luke muttered loud enough for you to hear. You perked up at his question and nodded. “We have a question on discipline. Uh Y/N and I don’t spank Raine. We both strictly agreed that physical punishment is something we just don’t do,” Luke said.

“We go for an alternative method when Raine does something wrong. A stern voice usually works, but we don’t yell at her. If she throws a tantrum we just calmly ask her what’s wrong and allow her to calm down when she’s ready to talk,” you finished off what Luke was going to say. “So we would like to keep it that way and make sure that no one physically hurts our child.” The principal leaned back in his chair and he let out a sigh. You gave him a sheepish smile and began to chew on your bottom lip.

“We try and follow whatever the parents request us to do, so if that’s the way you handle Raine then we will respect your wishes and handle her in that exact manner. So are you ready for the tour?” You all stood up from your spots and Raine immediately began to whine, her semi nap being disturbed from your movements. She reached out for Luke and he pulled her out of your arms. The three of you left the office and began the tour around the daycare. “We care for various children from babies near seven months to six year olds,” the principal said. You all took a stop in front of a classroom. “We have a variety of activities for the children to do. This room being our art class with Ms.Cane,” he said, pushing open the door. You and Luke took a peek inside, catching the attention of a few children. The tour went on from there. Both you and Luke getting to take a look inside the classrooms and watching how the daycare providers interacted with the children.

“It looks nice and very clean,” you whispered in Luke’s ear. You felt him grab your hand as the two of you walked to the next room. The action took you by surprise and you looked at him with a glint in your eye. A small smile came across your face and you just squeezed his hand in response. It almost felt like old times.

“What do you feed the children?” Luke asked, realizing you all were nearing the kitchen.

“We do the balanced meal. All healthy and organic food of course. We can’t help but to give them a little sugary treat with their meals,” the principal chuckled, holding the door open for you and Luke to enter the kitchen. “It’s mealtime in about five minutes so let’s see what’s been made,” he smiled. The minute you entered the kitchen and the smell of spaghetti hit you, you were ready to throw up. Your hand flew up to cover over your mouth and you could feel the pressure of it in your throat.

“W-Where’s the bathroom?” you quickly asked.

“Down the hall. Third door on the right,” the principal responded. You didn’t even get a chance to thank him and made a dash out the kitchen. You couldn’t have ran fast enough, pushing the bathroom door open and entering one of the stalls. Your knees hit against the cold tile floor and you began to empty the contents of your stomach out into the toilet. Tears pricked at the corner of your eyes as your throat burned. After a few minutes you coughed and spit the after taste from your mouth. You grabbed the toilet paper and wiped your mouth before tossing it in the toilet and flushing. You let out a deep sigh and pinched at the bridge of your nose. “Dammit,” you muttered to yourself, mind racing back to figure out why you felt this way. Deep down you knew what was wrong. For weeks you had been avoiding the test that sat in your bathroom cabinet. You wanted to just chalk it down to you being sick. It was possible especially with it being the flu season. This wasn’t the case and you knew it.

You stood up and left the bathroom stall. Turning on the faucet,  your washed your hands and then took some water in your mouth to rinse it. You weren’t sure how long you had been in the bathroom. Staring at your reflection and taking in your appearance. Your cheeks looked fuller and as you were taking in details you realized your breasts had swelled a bit too. Finally you left the bathroom, running into Luke as you did so. “Hey. Sorry about that I’m just not feeling well today,” you told Luke, “Where’s Raine?” He stared at you for a good minute and then exhaled loudly through his nose.

“She’s playing with a few of the kids. Just to see if she could handle it,” Luke responded. You shifted uncomfortably under his stare. His blue eyes trained on your every movement.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” you chuckled, trying to shrug him off. Luke’s hand came up to rub at his facial hair and his eyes closed. You knew this action all too well. It was something Luke had done when he was contemplating asking a question that had been nagging at the back of his mind.

“Are you pregnant?” Luke finally asked after a moment of silence. You looked down at your feet when he asked the question. His hands stuffed into his jean pockets and Luke gave you a hard glare. “You’re suddenly nauseous at certain smells, you took one bite from your favorite donut and felt like you had to throw up. Waking up late and “scattered brained” Y/N you never get scattered brained,” Luke listed off. “Not to mention-” He had made a gesture at his chest in reference to your breasts.

“I don’t know…maybe,” you said, the words barely audible. Luke’s jaw clenched at your words and he let out a scoff. “I haven’t taken the test yet, but I’m 80% sure that I am pregnant,” you told him, voice cracking at the end.

“Let me guess it’s Scott’s right,” he bitterly chuckled. “Honestly that’s great, Y/N! You always said you wanted more children and now you got it. Just not with me of course, but that-that is totally fine,” he spat. Luke’s tone had grown in anger and your head lifted up fast at his words. You frowned in annoyance and your arms crossed over your chest.

“We’re not discussing this now and I’m not sure if I even want to talk to you about it anyway,” you snapped back. “Besides whatever I choose it’s none of your business. It’s between me and Scott,” you said, walking off to head back the way you had came. Luke had some nerve blowing up on you like that especially after the stunt he had pulled three and a half months ago. You weren’t even sure if you were pregnant and if so whether you wanted to have Scott’s child or not. It was still early in your relationship with him. Not to mention Luke’s words had really struck a chord with you. He was clearly angry at the fact that you were possibly carrying another man’s child and it only made you question the relationship you two shared.

Warning: Smut

You used a single finger to tilt Jimin’s head up, your lower lip held between your teeth as you concentrated on getting his eyeliner applied just right. Dark eyes focused on your face, his gaze unwavering, despite you having the tip of a pencil less than a millimeter away from his eyeball.

“You know,” He said, the hand that was resting on his cheek was jerked when his jaw moved.

“Stop talking.” You almost hissed, grateful that you hadn’t drawn a thick, black line all the way to his temple.

“You look good from all angles.” He finished anyway, his cheekbones rising as he smiled.

“Thank you, Jimin,” You sighed, “Stop talking.”

“I bet Jungkook gets to see you from this angle a lot, huh? Or vice versa.” His innocent smile made a quick transition into a smug smirk.

Suga snorted loudly in the chair next to Jimin, his eyes not lifting from his phone. You rolled your eyes, now using your thumb and first two fingers to grip Jimin’s chin, attempting to keep him more still.

“I’m just saying, he’s a lucky guy.” Jimin added when you said nothing.

“I’m going to poke you in the eye in five seconds, if you don’t knock it off.” You ground out, pressing your lips into a thin line as you focused on smudging out the dark, kohl line.

There was a beat of silence.

“I’d be more than happy to let you knock me off.”

For crying out loud.

You couldn’t help the small giggle that rose from your throat and spilled past your lips. You weren’t even laughing at the line, just at Jimin’s sheer childishness. That, or the fact that Taehyung and Hoseok were losing it in the background.

“Hey, be careful, Jimin.” Suga muttered, his laugh still obvious in his voice, “You don’t want Jungkook hearing you talk like that.”

You breathed out a long sigh, pausing the application of Jimin’s face powder to give Suga a stern look, that silently said, ‘Shut up.’. He shrugged a shoulder, raising a defensive hand before focusing his full attention on whatever app he was playing around with on his phone.

“Where is Jungkook anyway?” Namjoon asked from the couch at the back of the room, one arm slung over his eyes.

You opened your mouth to respond, about to give a very vague answer about him grabbing some food–leaving out the fact that the food was for you, lest you be scolded by Jin for “making” Jungkook go out in the cold. Your beginning of an explanation was drowned out by the door of the dressing room opening, flooding the quiet room with the buzzing white noise of anticipating fans.

“Speak of the devil.” Namjoon snickered, peeking quickly from under his arm.

Jungkook glared at him teasingly, brushing past the couch Namjoon was lying on and not-so-accidentally hitting him with the plastic bag he was carrying. You straightened up when Jungkook was within arms reach of you, propping yourself up on your toes to place a quick kiss to his lips. The act earned you a series of groans and grotesque sound effects from around the room.

“Get out of my chair, princess.” Jungkook tossed over his shoulder to Jimin, his body still turned towards you.

You were just waiting for someone–Jimin, most likely–to say something that would rile Jungkook up.
You were waiting for him to spew another one of his lame attempts at a pick up line. It was just their friendly rivalry, and you knew that. It was only an innocent back and forth between really good friends. Jimin just didn’t know the consequences of his actions, sometimes.

Especially when those consequences weren’t his.

Jimin was courteous enough to let Jungkook take his seat without a word. You were grateful, but you really pegged it to the fact that he didn’t want to risk being nagged for holding Jungkook back from getting ready when they only had fifteen minutes left before their performance.

When you brushed Jungkook’s bangs to the side, clipping them to hold them in place, he took the chance to place a kiss against the inside of your wrist. You smiled down at him, not returning the affection because you knew you had to get to work. It was always like this when you were applying Jungkook’s makeup, flitting touches that left goosebumps on your skin, and when your face was close enough to his, it was loving whispers.

Sometimes it was promises that left your cheeks flushed and your face warmer than what was comfortable.

You swiped your thumb carefully along his lower eyelid, cleaning up a bit of overly smudged eyeliner because Jungkook thought that when you were doing his eye makeup would be the opportune moment to run his hands up your sides. He knew that you were ticklish. The rest of the boys were already standing around the door, shifting from foot to foot as the adrenaline of their upcoming performance began to take hold. You picked up Jungkook’s earpiece that was dangling from the collar of his shirt, and placed it into his ear. You leaned forward to kiss his temple as you always did, but Jungkook quickly turned his head and caught your lips in a quick kiss.

“Enough of your hormones.” Seokjin wrinkled his nose, pointedly averting his gaze from the two of you.

“You never do that when you put my earpiece in.” Jimin sniffed dramatically.

There it was.

Jungkook tipped his head away from yours, one eyebrow slowly lifting as he looked back at Jimin. Jimin chuckled in response, wordlessly letting your boyfriend know that no harm was meant. You watched Jungkook’s face with the same cautionary awareness of someone within striking distance of a cobra. The tip of his tongue pressed against the side of his mouth, bulging out his cheek for a second, before his mouth curved up in a smile. That was bad.

Then he chuckled along with Jimin. That was worse.

Nemesis Mine

Chapter 1

Chapter 2. Baz.

Simon is starting to heal. It’s been a few days and I’ve been watching him almost constantly, usually when he’s not paying attention (I’m always looking at him when he’s not paying attention). I notice the way he carries himself and how he never flinches when his shoulder or his arm brushes against a wall or bumps into another student, so I finally decide that he’s really fine. He hasn’t been seriously hurt.

He looks up and smiles when I walk into our room, collapsing in my desk chair.

‘Hey, Baz,’ he says. ‘Long day?’

Simon communicates in shrugs and fragmented sentences. We’ve been roommates since we both started at Watford at the beginning of the year and after a few weeks I realised it’s just the way he is.

‘You have no idea,’ I say with a groan. ‘My tutor is a complete git.’

He’s flicking a pen back and forth between his fingers, and it flies across the room. He blushes and laughs.

Simon also blushes easily. I try not to have too much fun with it.

‘Look, do you want to go out for dinner?’ he says casually once he’s retrieved the pen. He sets it down on the desk and folds his arms.

I raise an eyebrow. Simon loves the food we get in the dining hall, especially the fact that our meals are included in our accommodation and are already paid for, meaning he can eat as much as he wants.

‘I would love to,’ I say, and his entire being seems to light up. (Fuck.) ‘But I can’t. I’m behind on my assignment, and I’m busy tonight.’

He pouts. ‘Behind as in due in a week, right?’

I roll my eyes. ‘Yeah, so?’

‘So that’s not behind by most people’s standards, smart-ass.’

I smirk. ‘Fine. I’m barely on time with my assignment.’

‘Great, then you can go out with me,’ he says with a winning smile.

Words, Simon, I want to chide him. He’ll either not use them at all, or he uses them to imply things that he probably doesn’t mean.

‘Nope. Sorry, Simon, but I really am busy.’

Sometimes I just want to say fuck the superhero life and walk away from my family. I’d much rather go out for dinner with Simon than go chasing bad guys. (The chasing itself isn’t even so bad. It’s what comes after.)

‘Doing what?’ He sticks out his chin and stares me down, defying me not to give him a straight answer.

Oh, Simon. I wouldn’t lie to you if I didn’t have to.

‘Meeting friends,’ I say, avoiding his eyes.

Meeting friends in dark alleys in the middle of the night. That’s what I always imply, and it sounds dodgy enough that he knows not to ask any more questions. I suppose Simon thinks I’m in some sort of gang or something. It seemed like the most plausible excuse as to why I keep coming back hurt late at night. Soccer practice stopped sounding believable after the first two weeks.

‘Right, meeting friends,’ he echoes. ‘Guess I’ll see you later then.’

‘Yeah, later, Simon.’

When the guys find out you’re dating Junmyeon and are super surprised

So I haven’t actually heard back from my anon on this…I hope you still like it Anon!  If not, just let me know along what lines you were thinking and I’ll rewrite it!

Let’s face it: exo is nuts.  We all know it’s true.  It’s a large part of why we love them so much, right?  “Aw, come on guys!  Don’t crowd her/him!  Jeez, and you goofs wonder why I didn’t say anything!”

I feel like out of everyone Minseok would be the least surprised.  I don’t see him being the type to project ideal types for people around him.  If anything, say the girl/guy that ends up with Junmyeon is a little on the loud side, that might surprise Minseok merely because the rest of Exo is rowdy af.  But outside of that, I really don’t see Minseok being all that surprised.  I mean if anyone is going to understand want a relationship and also wanting to keep in on the down low, Minseok would get that the best, you know?  Instead of surprised, this guy is going to probably pull you aside and start sharing all Junmyeon’s secrets.  Let’s put it this way: Junmyeon will never win a fight against you. “I’m just saying!  You can take this ammo or leave it, but it might work out in your favor” (winkwinkwink).

Bucharest and plums [Bucky Barnes Imagine]

Requested: Nope.

Summary: Bucky Barnes is living in Bucharest. After you took interest in him, there’s no power on Earth that will separate you from each other.

Warning: It’s kinda angsty and sad :( Fluffy at the beginning though! Didn’t proofread because whenever I do it, I cringe at my work lol. Enjoy!

A/N: Requests are always open!! Feedback is appreciated :D

Word count: 2109 words

“Hello my dear. Good mornin’. What would ye like to buy?”

“Good morning. The usual, please.”

Your life in Bucharest was pretty ordinary. After you decided to move out from your parents’ house, you had finally settled in a small apartment just the perfect distance away from your favorite places in town.

Every now and then you would see and meet interesting people. Like the woman whose photographer career had brought her to Bucharest, the man whose wife left him lo travel the world, the boy that ran away from home and many others.

“Here ye go, darlin’.” She handed you a bag full of pantries. “Thank you,” you smiled. “I see you’re running out of plums!”

“Yes, we are. We’ve recently sold ev'ry single one of ‘em to a man that comes here ev'ry Sunday.” She smiled at you. “A v'ry handsome man, if I may add.”

“Oh Gosh.” You laughed.

“Speakin’ of whom.” She nodded to your left side, a small smile playing on her lips. You watched from the corner of your eye as said man approached the stand.

“Dă-mi șase, mulțumesc.” You did not quite understand what he said. For you attention was focused on the thick gloves he was wearing. Gloves weren’t a necessary thing to use. Yes, it was cold, but not cold enough to wear them.

Your eyes roamed his body until they landed on his face. His surprisingly blue eyes stared into yours before he ran off with what he bought.

You were with the period ... cramps, dizziness and sadness did not leave you. How would shawn react?

“Stop, stop,” you grump, tugging his hands away from where they wrapped around your waist from behind, his hand resting right where your body was the most painful. You’re in the Starbucks line and, usually, Shawn would put his arm around you or touch in some way to keep you calm in the presence of paparazzi but today you’re not feeling it. The cameras probably picked up you being prickly towards him but you can’t give a fuck with your uterus trying to kill you from the inside out.

Shawn untangles himself from around you but stays by your ear, ducking his head down to whisper “you okay? Did I do something?”

Pick-up lines.

Elias: “If you were an angle, you’d be acute one.”
It’s nerdy and cute, kind of awkward too so…that sums up Elias. 😂

Luca: “Do you have a sunburn? Or are you always this hot?”
It’s kind of like he’s joking, yet still flirting, you get me? So it just sounds like something Luca would say.

Yukiya: “You may fall from the sky, you may fall from a tree, but the best way to fall, is in love with me.”
It’s straight up adorable. Maybe he wouldn’t be saying that as a pick up line because, well, Yukiya isn’t particularly the most social person, but after he’s comfortable around you, he might say such a thing. Would probably blush afterwards, but that just makes it more adorable, right?

Serge: “I lost my teddybear, can I sleep with you instead?”
Serge would DEFINITELY say something like that maybe even just to see you blush…though he would still love to sleep together, it did happen in his route anyway.

Klaus: “If you weren’t there, I’d be the hottest person in this place.”
Klaus just can’t say something nice without adding a bit of sass or sarcasm to it so..😂

Azusa: “Can I punch you in the face…with my lips?”
He has some trouble showing love…oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Joel: “let’s flip a coin; heads, you’re mine; tails, I’m yours.”
I don’t know if I’m the only one that noticed, but Joel likes to state or maybe remind himself you’re his so I feel like that could be something he’d say.

Leon: “If nothing lasts forever, will you be my nothing?”
It sounds kind of awkward, doesn’t it? Yeah, that’s because I doubt Leon would be able to fully grasp the concept of pick up lines, so maybe he’d blurt out a few awkward ones before finding a smooth one, but at least he tried, right?

Vincent: “Hey, you’re pretty; I’m cute; together we’d be pretty cute.”
He’d probably say something like that in a teasing or joking manner, but that’s how Vincent mostly acts anyway, plus he’s rather chill and easygoing so saying something like that wouldn’t be too hard for him.

Guy: “I’ll give you a kiss; if you don’t like it, you can return it.”
It’s cute and a bit of a joke, so it sort of fits Guy.

Cerim: “If I had a dollar for everytime I thought of you, I’d have one dollar because you never leave my mind.”
I have no explanation for that one. :/
Intuition? 😂

Glenn: “I’m no organ donor, but I’d be happy to give you my heart.”
Probably would only say that after he’s comfortable around you, but still.

Leslie: “let me tie your shoelaces, cause I don’t want you falling for anyone else.”
Someone might’ve told him to say that, to be very honest. 😂 maybe Luca’s the culprit? But either way, Leslie would probably feel at least a bit embarrassed saying a pick up line.

Sigurd: “Do you work at a cafe? Because I like you a latte.”
He loves coffee, and he’s rather playful, so a coffee pun? Yeah that would be something he’d say.

anonymous asked:

Could you write a Noctis x shy white mage (female) Reader headcanons, please?

Of course, dove! Thank you for asking so nicely ^^

I, uh, actually had to look up what a white mage was because F.FXV is the only FF game that I’ve really looked at and I was dead sure that it wasn’t a class in there. Thank the Six for Google… ;;;

I hope you like this! Thank you again for the request! <3

  • Aside from the Glaive and some of the Crownsguard, there’s another group in the Lucian military that are also granted the ability to wield the King’s magic: The Sanatores, a group of White Mages who use magic to heal and strengthen their allies’ defenses in a fight.
  • You happen to come from a family who’s had a very long history of being a part of this group and took on the responsibility ,once you were of age, with no hesitation. They had an honorable job and you preferred to support than be directly in the fight.
  • The one thing that bothered people were the uniforms. All white reminded people of Niflheim more than anything else but to King Regis it reminded him of Tenebrae
  • Your official training was held the same place the Crownsguard had theirs which gave the king plenty of opportunities to drop by and observe you and your fellow trainees.
  • The king visiting was somewhat expected, but his son? It was no secret that the prince liked his naps, so this was surprising until your instructor announced that the prince was going to join the first couple weeks of training to get an idea of how to use his magic for more than just fighting.

Nalu Fluff Week 2017 Within the Law, Chapter 2

fanfiction by impracticaldemon
Words: ~3000 | Also on FFnet | AO3 (coming soon) | CH. 1

Author’s Note:

Chapter 2 of Within the Law is based on the Day 4 prompt “History”, with several nods to the Day 1 prompt “Soulmates”.

I’d like to thank everyone who is reading, following and liking this story so far, with special thanks to those who have taken a moment to drop me a line to tell me what they think of the story.

Chapter 2Friend or Foe?

Prompt: History

I—Scrutiny

The interview did not go at all as Lucy expected. For one thing, it was a great deal more informal than any interview she’d ever had for a job (other than one for a paper route that her father wouldn’t let her keep). The real shock, however, was finding out that the law firm of Makarov & Vermilion—known to lawyers as Fairy Tail—had a history with her family.

The room was more or less what she had envisioned—corporate-Fiore standard boardroom with an oval table, big comfortable chairs, and fully updated with the newest in lacrima technology. The artwork was a little unusual, and appeared to have been contributed by various members of the firm, since there wasn’t any cohesion or similarity between the pieces that she could make out. Lucy couldn’t help but glance at Natsu when her eyes caught what appeared to be an original Star Wars movie poster in all its kitschy, late- seventies glory, mounted in a place of honour on one wall. Natsu gave her two thumbs up, apparently aware of her interest—in the poster—and Lucy found herself smiling.

“That’s the slightly more common version, of course,” he stage whispered to her as she sat down in her designated spot. “But I have the Type A poster at home.”

Lucy had no idea what he was talking about; apparently Natsu was an even bigger geek than she was. Also… was that a pick-up line? Gray either shared her concern or saw her expression. He punched Natsu none-too-lightly on the shoulder.

“Seriously, Pepto B? Lucy’s here for a job interview and you sound like some kind of nerdy pick-up artist.”

“What the hell, Gray?! I just thought she’d like to know—I mean she can recognize an Imperial Destroyer-class capital ship when she sees one!”

Pairing: Kim Doyoung x Reader

Genre: fluff

Word Count: 1.4k

Summary: *REQUESTED* Hello, I saw that you were open! I was wondering if maybe you could do a fic with a female reader and Doyoung from NCT. Something during 1950, where the reader is at a jazz club and has no intention of doing anything sexual. Doyoung works at the jazz club and sees the reader and just has an instant want to be with her. Doesn’t have to be sexual at the end, maybe Doyoung just falls in love or that I don’t mind, hopefully you can do it!

You were here because you had nowhere else to be. You were here because you had nothing else to do. You were here because no one else wanted to come. But, you were here. That was all that counted.

The jazz club smelled like smoke and ash, men taking long drags from their cigars. You walked across the red velvet carpeted floors and sat down in an empty seat at the bar, which wasn’t all too crowded; Most people were seated at the tables. The men sat, looking dapper in their best suits, and the women smiled, in their best dresses. But you came alone. You weren’t out on a date with a man.

The Song

Description: Sherlock invites you over for a mystery meeting and you discover there is more to say about the song he plays on his violin.

Characters: SherlockXReader

Triggers: Fluff

Oneshot

Meet me at 221 Baker Street. 6 PM.

The text message read, it was from Sherlock, and nothing further was mentioned. How odd? You think. Sherlock wasn’t the one to call a meeting so short notice, however, that man was as unpredictable.

That’s fine.

You text back unsure where this might lead but a slightly ray of hope echoes through your mind.

When you arrive only Sherlock is in the flat overlooking his favorite window the one nearest to the sofa. He was deep in thought but once you made your presents known he turned to look at you with his charming crinkled smile.

“Have a seat”, he gestures to John’s chair.

“Okay but what is all this about?” You ask.

He simply smirks and picks up his precious violin.

“I wrote a song yesterday, I thought you might line it”, Sherlock replies. His expression holds a secret that only he knows the contents of.

“Alright then, get on with it”, you say.

He begins to play and the sweet sound echos throughout the small flat sitting room. It sweeps over you as Sherlock closes his eyes becoming consumed with the action of playing. You have never heard anything like this, it was something words could not place but what moved you the most was Sherlock. The way he played the song as if it were the last song he would ever play. You could feel his soul being poured into every note and when it ended you couldn’t help but feel a wash of sadness.

For a brief moment there is a silence that hangs. You try to collect your thoughts so you could put together a coherent sentence but nothing comes out.

“What do you think”?  He asks with a hint of insecurity in his tone.

“I…I…Oh, Sherlock that was amazing. You wrote that?” You scrabble to find the right words.

He laughs in relief taking his violin back to its place. Another pause occurs before Sherlock speaks again, this time he looks visibly nervous.

“I wrote it for you”, he says. His eyes filled with hope and they seemed to light brighter than when he talks about dead bodies under bridges.

“I’m sorry, I think I miss heard you”, you manage to reply.

“The song I just played was written by me with you in mind. I call it Summer Under Her Moon, I sounds a bit…”

Before he could finish you jump up wrapping your arms around him and placing a gently kiss on his lips. Something you thought of doing daily but with Sherlock it was sometimes only temporary.

“Did you like it”? He asks.

“Yes, every much”, you respond.

The Flirt and The Shy Scientist

Scott wondered if she hated him or if she was just shy around him, sure he didn’t have all of the looks in the world but he was quite charming.

Scott leaned aagainst the counter at his job ‘Baskin-Robbins’ hearing the ding sound from the door he looked up expecting one of the usual customers but what surprised him most was the (h/c) haired beauty.

“Welcome to Baskin-Robbins. What can I get you today (Y/n)?”

(Y/n) who now stood infront of Scott played with the zipper on her jacket, “Is it true…” she askes her voice barley above a whisper, “Is what true?” Scott askes his voice confused.

“Is it true…that you like me?” (Y/n) askes.

“Who told you that?!” Scott whisper shouted his eyes widen.

“Tony and Bruce said that you would use pick up lines on me because you didn’t know how to ask me out…”

No words were spoken at the moment, Scott watched as (Y/n) continued to play with her zipper taking a deep breath he answers. “Yes.”

“Huh!” says a surprised (Y/n). “Yes I like you and I do wanna date you, I mean if you want that of course.”

Nodding her head (Y/n) leaned over the counter and kisses his cheek and walks away leaving Scott with a smile stretched out across his face.

Okay, you're all really cool, and I hope these are as funny as I think they'll be. But what's the best pick up line everyone's ever heard/used?

You make it sound like you hear pick up lines left and right in highschool. Not here, brah. Pick up lines are dead.
- Eric

I think the most you’d get out of someone is a contextual pick up line. Like if a girl said “it’s so hot in here” it’d be cool to say “It’s cause of you,” but if you were like “Is it hot in here or is it just you?” You’d be laughed out of the school.
- Stan

Pick up lines are probably dead because the population is getting more and more unsophisticated. I’ve heard “I’d eat ass for you” more often than I’ve ever heard something witty.
- Kyle

“Wanna chat? come sit on my lap and we’ll talk about the first thing that pops up.”
