We, in the Vine, spend the most on fashionable clothing. I find this pretty funny, but at the same time, it’s actually pretty bad. I mean out of the whole nation, we’re at the top. We even beat out NYC. That’s just ridiculous. I know that there’s definitely people at school who pretty much almost never wear the same thing twice, and now that I think about it, it’s such a waste. I see clothes as an investment, and while no one really likes to wear the same thing like a million times, I feel like you should wear it enough to sort of somehow fulfill the price that you paid for the the piece of clothing. And really, this shows just how bad consumerism is now. And while I don’t think it’s bad to be fashionable (because I myself like to get new clothes), it’s just kind of crazy to think that Irvine is rated the top. But maybe because Irvine is (mostly) full of rich(ish) people, and we all live in this bubble and have nothing to do, we turn to shopping. So in a sense maybe it does make sense.
Founded by the Romans as Aquae Sulis, Bath on the River Avon is historically Britain’s most fashionable city, filled with Georgian residences, and public crescents, circles and squares that are famous for their Palladian elegance.
