Yuuri tells Victor his thoughts during their first dance.

I want to thank @thehobbem so, so much for co-writing the dialogue! She spent hours going through metas and crafting this line-by-line with me. Yuuri was much harder to write for than Victor and I couldn’t have done it without her tireless work. ;u; I also want to thank @teasidesketches for doing final revisions despite not being in the fandom. You two are the best. <3

I also want to dedicate this to @solfegefaerie for being the first one to give me the idea of writing Yuuri’s vows. They’re not vows this time, but I thought this was suiting. :)

If you can, you should read this while listening to “Yuri on Ice.” I matched the flow of the comic to that of the song, hence the tribute to the representation of Yuuri as the lone piano until Victor comes into his life as the violin (in case you were wondering about the sudden Music AU thrown in the middle there).

Pair comic to Victor’s Vows.

Things I think get overlooked in fanworks about each character in Team Voltron:

  • Shiro is fairly short-tempered and snaps at people very quickly if he feels like they crossed a line first (See: initial impression of Kolivan). In general, if Shiro doesn’t like you, he doesn’t mince words (early in s2e3, before he realizes Ulaz is helping him, and Shiro’s whole diatribe against Zarkon in s2e7)

  • Pidge overthinks to the point of panicking (see: s1e1 on the Green Lion’s planet) and a lot of her snapping is primarily defensive in nature- a happy and comfortable Pidge can be mischievous but usually with a very different tone. Much of her snide behavior deteriorates as she comes to trust the team more, though it makes a return if she’s upset or frustrated.

  • Keith responds positively to being hugged, but also awkwardly (Hunk bearhugs him in s1e2 and he freezes up and doesn’t know how to respond, but doesn’t pull away when Lance does. In s2e9, he and Shiro hug each other when parting ways, something we also see between Allura and Coran). It suggests that Keith is to a degree touch-starved and unsure of how to initiate or ask for intimacy.

  • Coran has a hell of a grudge on Zarkon (s1 finale, remarks that he’s been waiting ten thousand years for a shot at him) and probably has his own turbulent feelings about the fall of Altea that he’s likely downplaying for the benefit of the rest of the team, particularly Allura. In general, though, we have seen Coran get very angry very quickly if he feels like someone is disrespecting or threatening Allura.

  • Hunk is a sweetheart and likes to take care of his friends, but can be very suspicious of strangers- these seem related, as he’s the main one to bring up Lance’s near-death experience after s1e4 and 5 and voice it as a reason not to trust Rolo and Nyma.

  • Lance seems to deliberately control and to a degree calculate his reactions the most out of the team. Many times, he can be seen actively gauging others’ responses and modifying his behavior- in s1e1 on Earth he specifically brings up the Kerberos mission in private to see how Pidge reacts. That said, for all of his calculation, he actively looks for opportunities to be honest with people.

  • Allura appears to have difficulty admitting vulnerability to people she is unfamiliar with, and we see her most readily seeking comfort and voicing insecurities to those she is the closest to (Alfor, Coran, the mice) though she has been gradually opening up to the team. Especially if threatened or disquieted by something her response is to present as sterner and less affected than she really feels.

o shit waddup the character designs are here ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I’ll be posting the actual tattoo designs later on. Here’s just the general idea.

So, as promised, more on my Sun/Moon Spirit AU!

  • Adrien wears a lot of clothes due to him being the sun spirit, he is constantly exposed to the heat.
  • And onto that, another reason he wears a lot of clothes aka the giant robe is because he has a lot of scars and all sorts from battles, the heat and just general angsty shit (more to come on this next time)
  • I’ll give you this though; because Mari has rejected him for…decades, sometimes he gets lonely which is why out of the two, he is more likely to go to his human version so he can to interact with people.
  • But, their human forms have restrictions.
  • To transform into their human versions, they have to take off their respective earrings.
  • They have a limited amount of time in their human versions, as the time passes, their tattoos begin to fade and they cannot, at all costs, have their tattoos fully faded and gone.
  • If the tattoos fully fade, they become mortals, and as much as Adrien does want to become a mortal, the balance of basically everything in the universe goes to the shits and basically we might die.
  • Due to his excessive use of his human version, he is often scolded by gods. Adrien has never gotten his tattoo fully faded but he’s had some very close calls.
  • Mari has every constellation on her back as tattoos and as time passes for her in her human form, the constellations disappear one by one.
  • Both Adrien and Mari are saddened about their losing connection to humans. They were once actively interactive with the people way back then but during the heavy times of industrialisation and of course, environmental issues, sometimes it’s hard for both to reach out. And this has definitely affected both physically…
  • Mari fell in love with Human Adrien in the time of the French Revolution when he fought as a soldier.
  • In their spirit forms, only animals and chosen humans can sense Adrien and Mari.
  • Birds love Adrien and can sense him more strongly than any other animals and tend to follow him around in his spirit form.
  • Spirit Adrien has seen Human Mari….more to come on this later.
  • I’m not going to reveal all of this yet but here’s the thing; the spirits don’t just watch over the people for decades without doing anything…
  • And Mari and Adrien are definitely not the only spirits around.
  • That’s it for now but yeah….def some more soon ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

My first time ever drawing Rhysand, and I’m going big cause I had to draw Feysand too at some point. This took a lot of time to make but I like it, though I need more practice in what comes to drawing hands. Hope you like it! :D

Who cries the least?

Of the four main characters on Steven Universe, it’s pretty obvious that Steven and Pearl cry pretty frequently. Steven’s a sensitive meatball and he’s a child, and Pearl is … let’s just say emotional and a little fragile. But most people who haven’t watched carefully would probably assume Garnet cries the least since she’s basically the poster child for stoicism. But that isn’t true.

Amethyst cries the least.

That isn’t to say Amethyst isn’t emotional. Garnet is certainly the least outwardly emotive, and many of Amethyst’s negative emotions manifest in outbursts of anger–being loud, being destructive, lashing out. She just doesn’t accompany her breakdowns with tears most of the time.

Let’s take a look here. Obviously there have been times when everyone’s losing it and there are tears, like at the end of “Bubbled”:

(And we won’t talk about this one because it’s “Say Uncle”)

But it’s interesting that sometimes when everyone else is turning on the water works, Amethyst’s eyes are dry.

In “So Many Birthdays” Pearl cried rivers, Garnet had a little trickle going, but Amethyst was just redirecting her frustration onto Garnet because she didn’t know how to fix Steven.

Most of the time Garnet cries when she’s worried about someone else.

And sometimes she might just be crying behind those glasses when we don’t know. There’s even evidence of it once in a while.

But time and time again, Amethyst has good reasons to be very emotional and yet she stops short before crying. She redirects herself into angry outbursts or collapses into sullenness. Consistently.

Big emotional moments for Amethyst include “Tiger Millionaire” (no tears):

… “An Indirect Kiss” (no tears):

… “Maximum Capacity” (no tears that we see anyway):

… “Reformed” (no tears):

… and “Cry For Help” (no tears).

Of course, “Cry For Help” was also a big deal for Garnet, and she had an angry outburst there too:

But then in the next episode, she’s so conflicted over her internal struggle that she becomes even more silent than usual, with Ruby’s intense emotion being chilled with Sapphire’s fatalistic denial, and once it’s too much for her, she doesn’t cry … but they do.

In contrast, Amethyst has an arc with multiple episodes leading up to her feeling more and more damaged and worthless, hating her nature and her limited abilities, but she doesn’t cry until she’s FINALLY pushed to the brink in “Earthlings.”

“What was I supposed to look like?”

“You didn’t need me at all.”

“Busy making egg salad.”

“Now I’m the worst Crystal Gem.”

“You almost won with a rock!”

“So it’s true… .”

“Us worst Gems stick together, right?”

But besides this, of course, Amethyst did have the one notable emotional outburst that came with tears. And that’s “On the Run.” She went through sarcastic mocking, sullenness, and literal violence before she got to the point that she could cry, but she did get there. And then cried for approximately the entire last two minutes of the episode.

Amethyst can cry. It’s just that other responses come more readily, and she defaults to those before tears finally come. Garnet, though … Garnet doesn’t cry easily, but crying doesn’t seem to happen for her only when she’s been through everything else. And that makes sense, because she’s got to have all that emotion Ruby has in there somewhere, and it’s not just anger we’re talking about. Ruby is extremely demonstrative with her emotions, including love and joy, even though she can really only focus on one at a time. As manifested in Garnet, Sapphire doesn’t hold Ruby’s emotion in check; she just modifies how it is expressed. It’s still there. Garnet is the feeling between them. She even says so in a song.

I’d be willing to bet she gets teary-eyed behind her shades more often than we’d ever know.

You know who’s only cried once, though? Peridot.

You know who never cries? Lapis.

Part 1  < Previous Part          Next Part >   Part 3    Part 4    Part 5

I got lots of Yeses to continue! I can only go so fast though! This is part 2 of my colored Miraculous Ladybug comic. More frames to come :)
Though, if I hit 100 yeses to continue, I’m not sure how to do that many frames. Maybe instead an emotional video with the song In The Rain?

Tony is filled with dread at the thought of the team returning because he knows that they'll blame him for the exile. He can see it; Steve for him losing his temper in Siberia even though he had reason; Clint will throw another jab about breaking a back; Wanda blames him for anything. But he's done with them. As he sits at the compound waiting for there return he goes over every interaction and wondered why he ever considered these people his friends his only real friends were Rhodey and Bruce

Yes, he is. He really is done with them. It’s actually a surprisingly…freeing conclusion, once Tony allows himself to believe that. Because you see, Tony never does anything half-way. When he realised his weapons were hurting the wrong people, he didn’t put the deliveries on stricter security, he shut the entire production down. We can stand all day here, arguing about whether or not that’s a good thing, but the point is when Tony does something, he does it 100%, no take backs, right from the start.

And when he comes to the internal decision that Steve, Clint and Wanda aren’t his friends, aren’t his team mates, that changes things. Maybe not as much as it should have, because he’s still far too generous as far as Rhodey is concerned, but still.

No, Tony isn’t going to stop his work to get the ex-team back on US ground, but his motivation changes. It’s not…personal as much anymore. It’s because it will be an advantage once the fight–the one Tony’s been warning them of from the start, and no, he isn’t bitter about that at all

But it’s easier now, to face them again when they inevitably return. It’s easier to brush off the sharp comments and thinly veiled insults, to put on a smile for the cameras and disappear into the crowd as soon as the pictures have been taken.

On the surface nothing has changed. But mentally, accepting that his former team mates aren’t his friends, that maybe they never were, helps Tony in ways even he doesn’t fully understand.

It puts a distance between them and him, emotionally. And until it’s there Tony never even realised how much he needs that.

Weeks later, when Steve tries to extend a hand, genuinely contrite, tries to fix things between them, Tony lets the call go to voicemail and never listens to the message–not even on purpose, simply because he’s busy and FRIDAY is no longer required to remind him of those things, because Steve has lost that status a long time ago.

It takes even longer for Steve (and far longer for Clint) to realise that though. Realise that, at some point, Tony has stopped waiting for them. And if that bothers them more than either of them would like to admit, well. That’s hardly Tony’s problem anymore, is it?

Beauty. If someone asked you to define it, your mouth would probably go dry and your heart would flutter yearningly, freezing as the words turn heavy in your mind and dissolve in the tip of your tongue.

Beauty is short-lived but ubiquitous, a transparent but shimmering liquid running in rivulets through hidden alleyways and veiled landscapes that the eyes don’t notice unless they look twice. Beauty is found in the unexpected, in the withheld words of the timid poets, in longing stares and authentic, carefree laughs. Beauty is found in what the eyes can see, in what the ears can hear, in the deep reverie of the colorful minds and in the dreams held close to the heart.

Beauty is fleeting and you’re unable to grasp it. All your life you’ve chased it, extended your hands towards it, longed to touch it with your fingertips. But your steps are slow and your hands are ungifted, and you can only imagine what it would be like to create beauty, to have the hands of those that are able to reflect love and joy and pain in books and paintings.
