8-year-old girl kicked out of school until she can "start dressing more feminine"

Are you sitting down? Maybe sit down.

An 8-year-old girl has been told she won’t be welcomed back to her Christian elementary school in Virginia until she can start dressing and acting in a more feminine way.

The problem? Sunnie Kahle has a short haircut. The school claims there are other issues that need correcting, but none of those have been made clear. Her grandparents have pulled her out of school after administrators sent home a letter saying her admittance was at risk.

“We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God-ordained identity, that TCS is not the best place for her future education,” reads the letter from Timberlake Christian Schools, per WSET.

A representative from the school did not immediately comment to The Huffington Post, although a rep told WSET that issues with Sunnie go "far beyond her hair length” and that other problems “disturbed the classroom environment.”
