morality check

Short but accurate summaries of popular books/series
  • Red Rising: *George RR Martin approved*
  • Lux: Main love interest is the child of Jace Herondale and Number Four.
  • Raven Cycle: Fun with Dick and Jane. Except instead of fun there's dead people.
  • Ruby Red: Homework is a more appealing option than time travel.
  • Endgame: The 39 Clues, rated R. Also everything you know is wrong.
  • Shadowhunter Chronicles: Racist and oppressive society keeps blatantly ignoring that its racism and oppression is why the oppressed keep trying to kill them.
  • School For Good and Evil: Two girls are the first in +200 years to call BS on heavy prejudices that have made their school an incredibly toxic environment.
  • Vicious: If you relate/agree with either main character, PLEASE seek professional help.
  • The Young Elites: Kindly check your moral compass and whatever sense of morality you may have left at the door, thank you and try not to die.
  • Throne of Glass: Protagonist will love you if you give her a gorgeous dress, a puppy, chocolate cake, or an assortment of deadly weapons (and preferably a reason to use them).
  • Coldest Girl In Coldtown: Vampires go viral. This is basically a quote.
  • Steelheart: Nice try, Brandon Sanderson, I still want superpowers.
  • Gates of Thread and Stone: "ALL RIGHT, WHO STARTED THE APOCALYPSE?" *magic and science point at each other accusingly*
  • Red Queen: Superpowers+racism=a whole lot of dead people.
  • The Darkest Minds: Good news, you survived a deadly plague. Bad news, the government officials who now dictate your life REALLY wish you hadn't.
  • Penryn and the End of Days: Angels and Humans differ in every conceivable aspect...except sarcasm. That's universal.
To get home from the mall we could either go a long way around, which is the safe way, or we could cut through this abandoned construction site and hope there weren’t any ax murderers hanging around there. My mom and dad have sworn to ground me until I’m twenty if they ever find out I’ve cut through the construction site. So anyway, we crossed the road and headed into the abandoned construction site.

*logic nods getting worried about morality*

Remember what I said about how frustratingly difficult it is to keep a platonic relationship? Got a shitstorm on my hands yesterday. Got contacted by my friend's family and was promptly ordered/threatened on how to act if I "cared for so-and-so". I clarified that I wasn't interested in dating anyone, and that I made it clear with my friend. Was then told to "check my morals". (1/2)

Was pissed and offended at first because these were strangers who were ordering me around based on a misunderstanding where they thought I owed them shit. But then it just became incredibly funny/stupid when I figured out they were lecturing me on my morals and attacking me on several unrelated accounts because they found out that I’m agnostic. (2/2)

Well i didn’t care at first but bruh fuck those people. Who the fuck are they to judge you on your morals and beliefs. if i were you i would not cross roads with those people or your friend. If it came up to the point which you mentioned i would distance myself from them as far as humanly possible.

Ok i lied. I don’t care about this. But stay safe.

Really, people? REALLY?

Sooo, I just got a reply to a post I made after the mid season finale, about Skye shooting Ward saying (among other stuff I won’t get into right now) that the people who didn’t like Skye shooting Ward (because apparently, by the logic of this reply, the only people who could possibly not have liked Skye shooting Ward are SWWrs), and I quote, “have a really twisted moral compass”.

But then I read the tags and guess what I see? Well, take a look:

Are. You. Fucking. Kidding. Me?

Well, after that, if we are the ones with a twisted moral compass, then what the fuck are you people? Really, please, explain to me where is the sick joke here that made what happened to Kara so funny? Being brainwashed? Being stripped away of all sign of identity and free will? Having the agency you risked your life for do absolutely nothing to save you? Having the agency you risked your life for do absolutely nothing after they knew the man who brainwashed, tortured and controlled you was down and that you would probably be lost and in need of help? Having the agency you risked your life for do absolutely nothing once they found you again to help you cope with the trauma you have been through? Oh, but wait they did do something! They locked her up, so fucking helpful, right? That’s sure funny, how did I missed this sick humor?

Oh, wait, it get’s better, because then you remember that a member of the agency you risked your life for betrayed you and sold you to the enemy and is actually the cause of your trauma and your life being destroyed. And then having said agent tell you that it was for the greater good and that you don’t deserve a fucking apology because your life is worth that much to them. And to put a cherry on the top, you die at the hands of the man you loved because of a rouse of the agency you risked your life for. That sure gets you rolling on the ground, laughing out loud, right?

Yeah, talk about morals, people.

Am I the only one who realizes how perfect a team would be if it was a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin? Like, Slytherin has the determination and ambition to plan things out that would seem impossible, and the Hufflepuff is hard-working enough to see things through. The Slytherin is cunning enough to do what they want to get what they want, but the Hufflepuff is kind enough to keep their morals in check. It is literally the perfect team.

So I’m on this 10 hour car ride and I went through some old pictures on my computer. The one on the left is from 2013 when my iron levels were at their worst. I sometimes feel really upset about the weight I’ve put on since then, it’s been about 15lbs but I am so much stronger! Gaining weight is hard but it’s so important to realize that it’s necessary when gaining muscle. So here’s to NOT looking the way I did when I was anemic because that really sucked.
