We must be hidden yet be alive.
We must be invisible,
but we must give lively energy to the tree, leaves and flower petals.
On the ground called history,
the root should be hidden and yet be rooted strongly and deeply.
We are…
this ground’s hidden root.

This was the drama that was so painful and heartbreaking to watch, and I think I literally cried at every episode. This is MBC’s W: Two Worlds. This is a love story of two people from different worlds but same era. Oh Yeon Joo is a surgeon whose father is a famous comic book creator. One day, her father goes missing and she rushes to his workshop to look for him, and instead finds a strange man, Kang Chul bathed in blood. She is kidnapped by him and taken to a different dimension.

  • Cast/Characters: ★★
  • Cinematography: ★★
  • Feels: ★
  • Plot: ★★
  • OST:  ½
  • Did I watch without skipping/spoiling myself?:

Total: 9.5/10

Favorite Line: Everyone looks at the appearance instead of looking at the context, and they believe it as a fact.

Will I recommend? YEES! It is true that it was so painful to watch because it was too much but if this drama succeeded at one thing, it is definitely the emotions. The acting was just beyond perfection and the script, plot and cinematography was just amazing! The romantic scenes definitely made me want a real life Kang Chul because he was just the sweetest! It was sooo much kilig

For a change, Kang Chul isn’t the protagonist who had no idea what’s going to happen; in fact, he is smart and adaptive but there came a time when it was just too much- and I’m not gonna spoil.

There was a time when I wanted to stop watching because I felt like it was too much pain and stress for a kdrama, but please don’t stop. Finish until the end because then, you will understand everything. Her dad’s sacrifice teared me up, a LOT.
