Technically, I shouldn’t be counting semesters and weeks anymore, since my last exam of the year/degree was on Tuesday. Ever since Wednesday, my life has been filled with paperwork for next year and my ‘home’, job hunting, cleaning, tidying etc… I also managed to finish two novels (The Upside of Unrequited, and Last night I sang to the monster) and two TV shows (Dear White People, and Sense8) in the past ten days, but that’s not being really productive, is it? My plan for this afternoon is: organising my notes (because revisions time put a mess in my stuff) and packing my bag for a weekend at my best friend’s, in the city where she studies, with other friends! EDIT: Lovely desktop by @emmastudies (that I also use in black on my phone)
“Jack defeated the smoke monster” I love Jack and I know he’s the lead of the show… but no. Smokey-Locke had overpowered Jack and was about to kill him when my baby Kate Badass Austen shot him and saved the day. Yes, Jack is the hero of the show and he died to save the others, I’m not taking that from him. But Kate defeated the literal Evil Incarnated and she gets 0 credit. KATE AUSTEN DID THAT.
In LOST there is a huge and almost indestructible monster that is the physical representation of EVIL, and yet the scariest character in the whole show is a tiny man who bring fluffy bunnies everywhere.
Consider this me sending out hugs to everyone who needs them through Tumblr. Sometimes a day, a week, a month, or - in the case of 2016 - a year just sucks. And sometimes all we need to make things a little better is a hug. So hopefully this’ll make anyone who’s having a rough go of things feel better, even if they are just pictures on a screen.
