To each thing its place. For all that thinks, a name. For all that lives, a death.

Tricks and Tarts, Chess and Hearts

Is it so strange that a baker with big dreams and a lion-hearted fool fell in love? That two people, ordinary in their humanity, extraordinary in their positions, and unfortunate in their situation, could find peace together? A martyr and a monarch, doomed to fall and fail before they ever met. A boy and a girl who reveled in the impossible and fought together, for each other.

Lemon eyes and rose macarons, whispers and riddles and longing. Midnight tea parties and masquerade balls and magical hats made their love dangerous, dazzling, dauntless.

For them, the world flipped upside down and inside out. For them, the thief and the victim, the joker and the baker, the rook and the warrior, the corpse and the queen, impossible was just a word. For them, anything was possible as long as they had love.

Headless and heartless became their fate. Separated by death, by time and chance and a revenge-swung axe.

For them, anything was possible but a happy ending.

TLR Ryan when he finally breaks is one of the scariest things to see ever. He's like a combination of all of the Ryans when he breaks. He's got the smarts of Spooky!Ryan, the darkness of God!Ryan, the aristocracy and insaneness of both FAHC!Ryan and Mad King. And he knows how to use every single bit of his intellect. And that's what makes him terrifying.
