uh I'm really. really lost on how to find terezi's passwords like????? i just started reading HS again and i can't find where they are
Shouldn’t there be an MSPA Wiki page on them?? Someone should make (a heavily spoiler-tagged) one if there isn’t already. People shouldn’t have to come to a theorist to file these sorts of requests.
First of all, if you’re not at page p=009057 yet (check the URL of the page you were on right before you saw the [???????] branching link, not the page where you were brought back to the two choices NOR the page where you have to enter a password), you’re not supposed to know what the passwords are.
After that, the passwords were right there in the comic, explicitly given to you and in your face. As long as you let the first gif load, at least.
If you don’t recognize the page I just linked, you’re NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE PASSWORDS YET. Keep reading the comic.
If you’ve seen that already, and are still having trouble with it or later passwords the story gives you, click under the cut for password lists. First password:
I got so excited when I saw “MOM3NT” like that was exactly what was expected only it turned out wrong, but I guess in retrospect it makes sense; Terezi was likely not thinking about the word “MOM3NT” during said moment, only in the conversation with Karkat referencing it
You know, a seemingly insane anon put this in my inbox yesterday, referring to the witness John just rescued:
WAIT WAIT WAIT. WBAT ABOUT THE SCALEMATE SHE CARRIED UP TO FACE VRISKA? COULD THAT BE THE REPLACEMENT?
And if they had been a named user I could have private-responded to, I was prepared to respond “no of course not, why the hell would she ditch her beloved Pyralspite”. The idea seemed stupid at the time! But I stand corrected, and the anon deserves serious credit: She now DOES have a reason. She was given a direct hint to that effect.
John probably retcons in, leaving another reminder or hint, or perhaps only the “witness” itself.
Terezi, remembering the “you don’t need him.” hint, doesn’t bring Pyralspite. Instead, she notices and brings the “witness” instead.
John has now successfully smuggled an entire new scalemate plush into the scene where she confronts and flips against Vriska… a scalemate she knows to pay attention to. It can have a message on it, a clue, or even be carrying a useful item she can use to keep Vriska from leaving without killing her.
My favorite choice?
A two-headed, UNSCRATCHED COIN.
TEREZI: B3C4US3 W3 M4K3 OUR OWN LUCK TEREZI: 4ND YOU’R3 4BOUT TO PROV3 TH4T
“I make my own luck” is a quote repeated a couple times by Harvey Dent (eventually Two-Face) in the movie The Dark Knight, referring to his oft-used father’s lucky coin… a two-headed coin he uses to win bets where he bets on Heads.
Andrew was having Terezi tell us what she was going to do all along. If Terezi finds a clean two-headed coin on the witness, she can swap it with her usual one right before the flip. Vriska only stole enough luck from her to decide a regular coin flip… but the two-headed coin will always land on STAY, and Vriska will be retconned back to life.
