Protection Pouches

These little beauties have always worked for me, and actually seemed to keep my mother from being killed or paralyzed by a bad car accident last year, so I have a lot of faith in them.

You’ll need:
🐝 A small square of fabric, or a small sewn pouch if you have one already available.
🐝 The following supplies:
Basil, Cinnamon, Clove, Dill, Mint, Lavender, Rosemary, and Sage.
A small black stone or a small piece of quartz or tiger’s eye
And one black and one white candle.

Spell Work:
🐝 Place the herbs in the fabric square or pouch while invoking earth.
🐝 Light the candles, the white on the left and black on the right. Invoke fire.
🐝 Meditate lightly to dispell negative energy and press positive energy onto the stone(s), which should be held in your hands. Invoke water.
🐝 Extend your aura over the bag while placing the stone in and tying it shut. Visualize a shield of spirit and invoke air.
🐝 at this point, I find that a lot of people like to preform some sort of chant to better embolden and access the forces:
“May whoever keep this charm,
Be protected from every harm,
Cast off all bane and ill,
Upon this wish, I cast my will.”
Invoke spirit (active) during this portion.
🐝 Finally, invoke any patron or matron deity you may worship, follow, or are dedicated to. Then cleanse your circle with a smudge of Sage and you’re done!

*a pentagram configuration is certainly not necessary for this, but for some it does provide ease and structure during the ritual.

Best wishes darlings!

Feather-set’s Protection Satchel to Ward Off Ex-Lovers

This satchel idea was brought to me from a friend’s friend who went through a painful, abusive relationship. They left their harmful partner and wanted to find a way to protect themselves so that they can keep the ex-partner away.

What it does: this satchel will help protect you from an ex-lover or abusive partner that you’ve decided to break contact with. This helps protect you from toxic people who might otherwise take advantage of or hurt you.

Before making this satchel: make sure that you’re not going to allow your harmful ex back into your life. Don’t call them, text them, stop them on the street to say hello, etc. Do not allow them to puncture your space by any means. And if they do manage to come up to you, leave as soon as you can.

What you’ll need:

  • A black satchel
  • Rose stems with thorns
  • Sea salt
  • Hematite, onyx, iron, or some black stones
  • Sage, rosemary, bay leaves (or two of these, or all three for maximum protection)
  • An item to represent you (charm, hair, clipped nails, personal trinket, etc)

Casting: You are free to cast the spell however you wish, though I would recommend burning a black candle while you put the items into the satchel, saying the intent of the pouch as you fill it. Chant something like

This bag is my shield and these items keep it strong
All these things protect me from (name)’s wrongs

Everyone’s casting styles are different, so you are free to do your own version of whatever spell you want to accompany this.

Meditate on the purpose of the satchel. Feel the powers of the herbs and stones protecting and holding the items that represents you; in turn, imagine your psychic shield wrapping around you, protecting you from the harmful person’s presence.

Wear the satchel on you when you’re out or feel uncomfortable, until you feel safe and secure knowing they will no longer bother you ever again.

Why I chose these items: I’m very fond of plant/herb magick and crystals, so there’s one. Salt is a very protective mineral that is very commonly used to ward off negative presences. Rosemary, sage, and bay leaves are also protective. Rose thorns are the shield that roses, the symbol of love and frailty. Hematite, onyx, and other dark crystals are protective, especially hematite. Black is a strong colour, and is very defiant and protective.

satchet for success in school

i officially start school tomorrow, so i made myself a little bag to bring me academic success! i don’t have access to a lot of materials so it’s simple, but hopefully effective.

Supplies:

- 1 small bag/satchet

- basil, to steady the mind

- lavender, to sharpen it

- maple leaves, to learn quickly

- oregano, for luck and tranquility

- rice, for prosperity

- ginger, for a little extra power

To start just fill the bag with the ingredients. I put the rice in first, then the oregano, basil, lavender, maple leaves, and topped it off with a little ginger, but I don’t think the order really matters. When everything’s in, recite this a few times: “this year it will be easy to learn, my bad habits I will burn, I will remember all I see, happy and successful I shall be.” imagine the bag filling with positive energy as you close the drawstrings. And you’re done! Put it in your schoolbag or pencil case.

it’s good for discreet/secret witches because it smells nice, so people will assume it’s just there to make your bag smell good. :)

Good luck in school!

Mojo Bag for Spell-work

A potent time to make Mojo bags is during the Dark moon - make small bags filled with items and wear on you until they fall off, no longer need them, or until the next Dark moon, but remember to keep it hidden.

Cut two pieces of material in a color that is specific to your dream, desire or spell. Sew three of the sides using a color that corresponds with your spell, while leaving one edge unsewn to add your contents into the bag.

traditional items: roots, dirt, herbs, coins, crystals. (anything that supports your main intention.

example for an Abundance bag: 3 coins and 3 pieces of ginger with a handmade sigil for abundance, also add something that represents yourself, like a few strands of your hair or writing your name on a piece of paper and folding it three times. Breathe your breath into the bag after adding your contents and then sew it up or tie with a ribbon. Tap it 3 times to activate its magick. Feed the bag with an essential oil like rosemary or anything you feel corresponds with the dark moon, new beginnings, and activation. (request FREE Herb Sachet, Mojo bags, Smoke blends, and Sigils from me if you’re interested).

Blessed be,

Rosemary Milk

Talismans, mojo hands and charms to create or eliminate hexes are the frequent subject of African American folk tales and blues songs. Authors Zora Neale Hurston and Toni Morrison have used folk magic in their work as have countless blues singers. Muddy Waters, in his 1954 recording of “Hoochie Coochie Man,” sang: “I’ve got a black cat bone/ I got a mojo too/ I got the John the Conquerer root/ I’m gonna mess with you/ Make all you pretty girls/ take me by my hand/ Then the world gonna know/ I’m the Hoochie Coochie Man.” © 1995 Bill Steber

Miracles, Magic and Medals

Since I don’t often blog about my magic here, I figured I’d share something I posted on a forum related to Christian and Catholic magical practices, particularly one item that has been a part of my life since I was born. The Medal of Saint Benedict.

The Background

Benedict of Nursia (c. 480 – 543 or 547) is a Christian saint that is sometimes overlooked by modern magical practitioners and is honored by the Catholic Church, some Orthodox and the Anglican Churches, as the patron saint of Western monasticism but also has a number of other patronages ranging from scholasticism, deliverance from temptation, and inflammatory diseases in addition to being invoked against witchcraft, poison and sorcery.

The most famous and recognizable emblem of Saint Benedict today is the so-called Jubilee Medal. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia:

It is doubtful when the Medal of St. Benedict originated. During a trial for witchcraft at Natternberg near the Abbey of Metten in Bavaria in the year 1647, the accused women testified that they had no power over Metten, which was under the protection of the cross. Upon investigation, a number of painted crosses, surrounded by the letters which are now found on Benedictine medals, were found on the walls of the abbey, but their meaning had been forgotten. Finally, in an old manuscript, written in 1415, was found a picture representing St. Benedict holding in one hand a staff which ends in a cross, and a scroll in the other. On the staff and scroll were written in full the words of which the mysterious letters were the initials. Medals bearing the image of St. Benedict, a cross, and these letters began now to be struck in Germany, and soon spread over Europe. They were first approved by Benedict XIV in his briefs of 23 December, 1741, and 12 March, 1742. The Jubilee Medal below was first struck in 1880 to commemorate the 14th centennary of St. Benedict’s birth.

Having gone to a Benedictine university and my family having a close relationship with the Benedictine community there, I learned from the monks a lot of clever traditions surrounding the Medal of Saint Benedict ranging from burying blessed medals in the foundations of buildings to protect them from evil, to hanging large bronze copies over the doors of houses and barns to protect inhabitants as well as one famous example where a monk hid them in the corner of a classroom where students were known to have sex on campus after hours which stopped them from ever doing it in the classrooms again.

The Medal

The front of the medal typically depicts St. Benedict holding his Rule; next to him, on a pedestal, is the cup that once held poison, shattered after he made the Sign of the Cross over it. The other pedestal is topped by the raven, who is about to carry away the poisoned bread. In very small print above these pedestals are the words: Crux s. patris Benedicti (The Cross of our Holy Father Benedict).

Underneath St. Benedict are the words: ex SM Casino MDCCCLXXX (from holy Monte Cassino, 1880).

Surrounding the entire face of the medal are the words: Eius in obitu nostro praesentia muniamur (May we at our death be fortified by his presence.)

On the obverse of the medal there is a cross with the initials C S S M L - N D S M D, which stand for the rhyme:

Latin:

Crux sacra sit mihi lux!
Nunquam draco sit mihi dux!

English:

The Holy Cross be my light;
Let not the dragon be my guide.

In the corners of the Cross are C S P D, which stand for the same words found on the front over the pedestals: Crux s. patris Benedicti (The Cross of our Holy Father Benedict).

Above the Cross is the word “Pax” (Peace), one of the handfulls of Benedictine mottoes.

Surrounding the entire back of the medal are the initials to the words of the exorcism: V R S N S M V - S M Q L I V B, which stand for the rhyme:

Latin:

Vade retro Satana!
Nunquam suade mihi vana!
Sunt mala quae libas.
Ipse venena bibas!

English:

Begone, Satan,
Do not suggest to me thy vanities!
Evil are the things thou offerest,
Drink thou thy own poison!

There are many variations of the medal, as mentioned above; sometimes used as the centerpiece in rosaries, sometimes incorporated into a crucifix, other times. Ideally one would take these medals to a priest to have blessed, though for those who may have some problems with this, the following is the approved blessing of the Catholic Church:

Blessing of the Medal of St. Benedict

Priest: Our help is in the name of the Lord.

Response: Who made heaven and earth.

Priest: In the name of God the Father + Almighty, Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, I exorcise these medals against the power and attacks of the evil one. May all who use these medals devoutly be blessed with health of soul and body. In the name of the Father + Almighty, of His Son + Jesus Christ our Lord, and of the Holy + Spirit the Paraclete, and in the love of the same Lord Jesus Christ Who will come on the last day to judge the living and the dead.

Response: Amen.

Priest: Let us pray. Almighty God, the boundless Source of all good things, we humbly ask that, through the intercession of St. Benedict, Thou pourest out Thy blessings + upon these medals. May those who use them devoutly and earnestly strive to perform goods works be blessed by Thee with health of soul and body, the grace of a holy death, and remission of temporal punishment due to sin. May they also, with the help of Thy merciful love, resist the temptations of the evil one and strive to exercise true charity and justice toward all, so that one day they may appear sinless and holy in Thy sight. This we ask through Christ our Lord.

Response: Amen.

The Miracles During his life and shortly after, many miracles were attributed to the holy Saint Benedict. The majority of them can be found in the encyclopedic Dialogues of Gregory the Great. Here are a few examples from book two:

“Benedict having now given over the school, with a resolute mind to lead his life in the wilderness: his nurse alone, which did tenderly love him, would not by any means give him over. Coming, therefore, to a place called Enside  and remaining there in the church of St. Peter, in the company of other virtuous men, which for charity lived in that place, it fell so out that his nurse borrowed of the neighbors a sieve to make clean wheat, which being left negligently upon the table, by chance it was broken in two pieces: whereupon she fell pitifully a-weeping, because she had borrowed it. The devout and religious youth Benedict, seeing his nurse so lamenting, moved with compassion, took away with him both the pieces of the sieve, and with tears fell to his prayers; and after he had done, rising up he found it so whole, that the place could not be seen where before it was broken; and coming straight to his nurse, and comforting her with good words, he delivered her the sieve safe and sound: which miracle was known to all the inhabitants thereabout, and so much admired, that the townsmen, for a perpetual memory, did hang it up at the church door, to the end that not only men then living, but also their posterity might understand, how greatly God’s grace did work with him upon his first renouncing of the world. The sieve continued there many years after, even to these very troubles of the Lombards, where it did hang over the church door.” Dialogues. Of the Life and Miracles of St. Benedict. C.1. “Having now taken upon him the charge of the Abbey, he took order that regular life should be observed, so that none of them could, as before they used, through unlawful acts decline from the path of holy conversation, either on the one side or on the other: which the monks perceiving, they fell into a great rage, accusing themselves that ever they desired him to be their Abbot, seeing their crooked conditions could not endure his virtuous kind of government: and therefore when they saw that under him they could not live in unlawful sort, and were loath to leave their former conversation, and found it hard to be enforced with old minds to meditate and think upon new things: and because the life of virtuous men is always grievous to those that be of wicked conditions, some of them began to devise, how they might rid him out of the way: and therefore, taking counsel together, they agreed to poison his wine: which being done, and the glass wherein that wine was, according to the custom, offered to the Abbot to bless, he, putting forth his hand, made the sign of the cross, and straightway the glass, that was holden far off, brake in pieces, as though the sign of the cross had been a stone thrown against it: upon which accident the man of God by and by perceived that the glass had in it the drink of death, which could not endure the sign of life: and therefore rising up, with a mild countenance and quiet mind, he called the monks together, and spake thus unto them: "Almighty God have mercy upon you, and forgive you: why have you used me in this manner? Did not I tell you before hand, that our manner of living could never agree together? Go your ways, and seek ye out some other father suitable to your own conditions, for I intend not now to stay any longer amongst you.” When he had thus discharged himself, he returned back to the wilderness which so much he loved, and dwelt alone with himself, in the sight of his Creator, who beholdeth the hearts of all men.“ Of the Life and Miracles of St. Benedict. C. III.

"At the same time a certain clergyman, that served in the church of Aquinum, was possessed: whom the venerable man Constantius, Bishop of the same city, sent unto many places of holy martyrs for help: but God’s holy martyrs would not deliver him, to the end that the world might know what great grace was in the servant of God, Benedict: wherefore at length he was brought unto him,  who, praying for help to Jesus Christ our Lord, did forthwith cast the old enemy out of the possessed man’s body, giving him this charge: "Go your way, and hereafter abstain from eating of flesh, and presume not to enter into holy orders, for whensoever you shall attempt any such thing, the devil again will have power over you.” The man departed safe and sound, and because punishment fresh in memory useth to terrify the mind, he observed for a time what the man of God had given him in commandment. But after many years, when all his seniors were dead, and he saw his juniors preferred before him to holy orders, he neglected the words of the man of God, as though forgotten through length of time, and took upon him holy orders: whereupon straightways the devil that before had left him entered again, and never gave over to torment him, until he had separated his soul from his body.“ Of the Life and Miracles of St. Benedict. C. XVI. The Magic Traditionally, medals have been worn since the early times of the church for the protection and patronage of various holy men and holy women. Although magical practices have historically been forbidden, it wasn’t long before these medals and other jewelry would take the place of the ”diabolical“ amulets and talismans of the pagans. The Jubilee Medal of Saint Benedict is no different. The easiest method to employ the magical properties of the medal is through simply wearing the blessed item and perhaps reciting a prayer to Saint Benedict when you feel like you may be under spiritual assault or compulsion. Another, similar, employment would be to make the sign of the cross, and recite the Latin verse on the obverse side of the medal. This has been known for a long time to put to flight negative powers and temptations if recited with full faith.

For those who may practice New World forms of folk magic, one may incorporate the medal into a mojo or gris-gris bag.

Benedictine Mojo for Protection from Evil

Black flannel bag
Petition Paper
Angelica root
Three pieces Devil’s Shoestrings
Blessed Thisle
Frankincense
Blessed Salt
Saint Benedict Medal
Saint Benedict holy card

First, write the petition paper with your name written three, seven or nine times then, turning the paper clockwise write either, ’Vade retro Satana!‘or ’Begone, Satan!’ over your name the same number of times as you have written it.

On the obverse side of the petition paper, draw the cross as found on the medal and around it write your petition in a circle, in cursive, so that it forms a ring. Anoint the paper with a protection oil such as Run Devil Run, Fiery Wall of Protection, or Banishing oil on the four corners and in the center of the cross. Fold the paper toward you three times and place in front of the image of Saint Benedict then pray the following:

Glorious St. Benedict who taught us the way to religious perfection by the practice of self-conquest, mortification, humility, obedience, prayer, silence, retirement and detachment from the world, I kneel at your feet and humbly beg you to take my present need under your special protection (mention here). Vouchsafe to recommend it to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace to one day meet God face to face, and with you and Mary and all the angels and saints to praise Him through all eternity. O most powerful Saint Benedict, do not let me lose my soul, but obtain for me the grace of winning my way to heaven, there to worship and enjoy the most holy and adorable Trinity forever and ever. Amen.

Then pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be, then place the herbs and card in the mojo bag and close it, sewing the Jubilee Medal to the outside of the bag. Next, fumigate the mojo with frankincense incense and feed it with a dab of liquor such as rum or whiskey and anoint the medal with the protection oil. This should be repeated every day for at least a week while reciting each of the penitential psalms in order for even days, afterward it can be done once a week while omitting the psalms.

Blessing of Saint Maurus

Saint Maurus was the first disciple of St. Benedict of Nursia (512-584). He is mentioned in St. Gregory the Great’s biography of the latter as the first oblate; offered to the monastery by his noble Roman parents as a young boy to be brought up in the monastic life. Four stories involving Maurus recounted by Gregory formed a pattern for the ideal formation of a Benedictine monk. The following is a traditional blessing of the sick that can be done by anyone regardless of state of life.

Place above the sick bed a crucifix bearing the Saint Benedict Medal or, if impossible, the medal alone should suffice. The act of contrition should be said by both the person leading the blessing as well as by the sick, followed by the act of Faith, Hope and Charity, then the a prayer to Saint Benedict that the person be delivered, followed by three Our Fathers, Three Hail Marys and Three Glory Be’s in honor of the Holy Trinity.

The person leading the blessing approaches the sick and says,

V. Blessing and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, honor and power and strength to our God forever and ever.
R. Amen.

V. My foot has stood in the direct way.
R. In the churches I will bless You, O Lord.

Through the invocation of the most holy name of the Lord may that faith, in which St. Maurus, by employing the words that follow, healed the sick, and in which I, though an unworthy sinner, utter the selfsame words, restore your health as you desire:

In the name of the most holy and undivided Trinity and supported by the merits of the most holy Father Benedict, I bid you, N., to rise, stand upon your feet and be cured, in the name of the Father and of the Son + and of the Holy Spirit.

R. Amen.

V. He that forgives the iniquities of his creatures.
R. May He heal your infirmities.

V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come to You.

V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.

Let us pray

O God, the Creator, of all things, You ordained that Your only Son should take flesh of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit for the restoration of your people and You deigned to heal the wounds and infirmities of our souls by the redemption accomplished upon the sacred and glorious wood of the life-giving Cross: do You also vouchsafe through this powerful sign to restore health to Your servant N. Through the same Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.

Let us pray

Lord Jesus Christ, You conferred upon the master, blessed Benedict, the privilege of obtaining from You whatsoever he might ask in Your name: vouchsafe, through his intercession, to heal all the infirmities of this Your servant: in order that, being restored to health, he (she) may give thanks to Your holy name.

You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever.
R. Amen.

The Blessing

Through the invocation of the Immaculate Mother of God and ever Virgin Mary, and the intercession of Saints Benedict and Maurus, may the Power + of God the Father, the Wisdom + of God the Son, and the Strength + of the Holy Spirit free you from your infirmities. Amen.

May God’s holy will be done, and may it be done to you as you wish and pray, for the praise and honor of the most holy Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The person performing the blessing and the sick make upon themselves the sign of the cross with the relic of the Cross or the medal of St. Benedict saying:

May the blessing of Almighty God, of the Father and of the Son + and of the Holy Spirit descend upon us and abide with us forever.
R. Amen.

The sick person then kisses the cross or the medal of St. Benedict.
This blessing, if need be, may be repeated three times and the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary are to be prayed according to the aforesaid intentions by the sick person, or by others in the person’s name.

And a final, if very simple method, can be used in lieu of holy water should there be non available or in case of sudden emergency.

Water of Saint Benedict

You will need:

A Ceramic Vessel

An image of Saint Benedict
A Jubilee Medal
A small amount of salt
A white cloth

Filling the vessel with water, place it on a white cloth in front of the image of Saint Benedict and a lit candle. Recite three Our Fathers, three Hail Marys, and three Glory Be’s in honor of the Holy Trinity. Next, take three pinches of salt and cast it into the water saying,

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Through the intercession of Saint Benedict, I cast out all evil from this water that it may be fruitful and healing to the benefit of man and put to flight all evil. Amen.

Then, place the medal in the water saying,

Admirable Saint and Doctor of Humility, you practiced what you taught, assiduously praying for God’s glory and lovingly fulfilling all work for God and the benefit of all human beings. You know the many physical dangers that surround us today often caused or occasioned by human inventions. Guard us against poisoning of the body as well as of mind and soul, and thus be truly a “Blessed” one for us. Amen.

Leave the medal in the water until the candle burns out, after which it can be used for exorcisms as well as sprinkled around one’s house or apartment for protection.

Having one’s wings detached was supposedly the second worst pain an angel could experience.  It went beyond just a physical sensation to one that tore through their very being.  The worst?  Existing without them.

Being wingless stripped them of everything that made them divine, leaving them disconnected.  They were no longer part of Heaven but neither did they belong on earth and they would be destined to remain caught between both worlds for eternity.

Thanks to you, Gabriel was not currently experiencing that fate.  Yours, on the other hand, currently hung in the balance.

From underneath the thin layer of snow, the first bloom of springtime emerged.  He resisted the temptation to crush it beneath his heel.  He was Heaven’s mightiest weapon.  His power was absolute. His strength rivaled by few things in existence.  He could snap entire civilizations out of existence and had, on a few occasions.  He could storm the gates of Hell on his own and make quite the dent in its army before something figured out a way to take him down.  He could hold the entire Eastern seaboard in its own time loop for weeks if he wanted.

Saving one human?  Suddenly beyond his control.

This is my tattoo that I got about a month ago. The symbol itself is adapted from the hobo code, which expresses to travelers that whatever camp the symbol is outside of is a safe place. Circa Survive adopted this as a way of communicating with their fans that their music is a safe place, no matter who you are or where you come from. Over the last 9 years, music and live music in particular has been such a crucial and integral part of my life. It has been an escape through all the crazy shit I’ve been through in my life. No matter what is going on with my family, if I am at a concert screaming along to my favorite song by an amazing band surrounded by people who are just as passionate about music as I am, everything else disappears. Music has been such a defining part of my youth and I literally think I would be dead without it. This tattoo is not only for Circa Survive, my favorite band that I’ve grown with since I was 12 years old, but for music in general for being there when nothing else was. ♡

How do I become happier? What specifically should I be doing?

People who ask me this question usually expect some kind of ancient Buddhist mojo, some trick, some magical quick fix. Well, there is none. Unlike many spiritual teachers, I do not promise this. Instead, I offer you this:

  1. take care of the body by eating properly;
  2. get plenty of sleep;
  3. exercise daily;
  4. develop a meditation practice;
  5. change the way you interact with people by being kind and compassionate;
  6. learn and practice self-compassion.
Jealous ~S.S.~

Summary: season like 4 Stiles and Malia plus a jealous reader.

Requested: no

Note: sorry it’s so long. I had so many ideas and I don’t want to just everything into one story.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me and Lydia stood at my locker planning the pack meeting tonight and decided that Derek’s loft would be the best.
“I feel like there’s so many of us, you know even though we’ve lost a few people with Malia joining it’s just” Lydia says fixing her lipstick
“Can we not talk about her please?” I plead closing my locker.
I’m not the biggest fan of Malia Tate. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure she’s a nice person but she gives me bad vibes, and she stole my man.
Ok maybe that’s the wrong phrase. I just-
“Y/N you’re a witch, you’re the witch. Just because she’s illegitimately dating Stiles, doesn’t mean anything. I’m sure they’re just friends anyway.”
“Dude, every night she comes in my room because she can’t sleep and then ya know” Stiles says engrossed in another “serious” conversation with Scott.
“No Stiles. I don’t know” the Alpha says rolling his eyes. He’s never been one to take hints.
Stiles just lifts the back of his shirt up revealing red lines with some dried blood on his back.
I gasp and run my hand over the scratches quickly making them disappear as if they weren’t there.
“Y/n, what did you just do. They actually don’t hurt now. Oh she healed me.” Stiles says pulling his shirt back down. “What have I said about using your mojo on me.”
“You’ve said it’s extremely cool and to do another trick.” I laugh rolling my eyes. “And don’t call it mojo. That’s disrespectful. My magic isn’t a joke stiles” I say giving him the look. He salutes me before we all continue to History with coach.
“So where’s Malia?” Kira says from her seat in class.
I shrug and look down at my worksheet.
“STILINSKI, put your phone away!” Coach yells causing our group to laugh.
“Yep. Got it coach. Putting it away” stiles awkwardly says putting the phone in his back pocket.
The rest of the school day is spent like every other. Admiring stiles from far away. Except Malia wasn’t here to cling on to his arm. Okay maybe I’m extremely jealous that Malia has the love of my life.
It’s actually not my fault. After becoming The Grand Priestess last year, all my emotions, senses and abilities were heightened. The Grand Priestess wasn’t supposed to be appointed until they were 19 or pregnant with their first child, but both my grandmother and mother were killed when I was 12.
The entire “world” of witchcraft had been trying to figure out what to do until eventually they just taught me what to do. It’s been a long, lonely process but I’ve got the hold of it.
“Y/N! Are you listening? Of course not.” Lydia says waving her hand in front of my face.
“Oh sorry Lyd. Why were you saying?”
“I was saying, it’s time to go. Derek has somewhere to be tonight and doesn’t trust us alone with peter.” She says grabbing her purse and moved to her car.
We arrived at Derek’s Loft and I immediately moved to the kitchen to grab some drinks. But when I walked in Malia was sitting on the kitchen counter with stiles in between her legs.
I stared at them before shaking my head and continuing to the fridge. I roughly opened the door cause the pair to jump apart and almost causing stiles to fall.
“Oh no. Don’t stop on behalf of me. Tongue Tennis is my favorite sport” I spit before popping open the soda can.
“I see you’re more of a spectator than a participant?” Malia says crossing her arms and hopping down.
“Ohhh. Big words, did Lydia teach you what those mean last night. Oh wait, you were a bit busy last night” I sarcastically state. I could practically taste the venom in my words.
“Oh go to hell.” She growls stepping closer.
“I run it bitch” i say stepping just as close as her. Malia is the only one to have never seen my powers, or even know a lot about them, but she might just today.
“Wow, no wonder you’re all alone”
“HEY. GIRLS, as much as I love reality TV. We have a meeting so drop it” Derek barks at us. Malia jumps and walks away while I stay still for a little bit.
Stiles still hasn’t moved and is just staring at me with wide eyes. I roll my eyes and move to the living room.
“Okay so Scott turned a freshman into a werewolf and the full moon is in less than 3 days so we need a plan.” Derek says looking at everyone.
“I can chain him up somewhere safe.” Scott offers.
“Malia is using the chains still” I say fake smiling at her.
“And you’re still a brat” she says returning the smile.
“Okay, y/n do you think you can find a spell to help sedate him or calm him down?” Derek says ignoring our argument.
“Course she does, how else would she get dick”
“MALIA” Scott and stiles shout at the same time.
I laugh darkly and clench my fist.
“Look hun, there’s a boy that could possibly hurt himself or other innocent people. We don’t have a lot of time to figure out what to do with a naturally angry new werewolf on top of training you how to control your shit” I quickly stand up and before anyone can blink the lights go out and Malia is pinned up against the brick wall. The whole scene looks creepy because the only light came from the setting sun. My eyes had turned a glowing black and my aura was showing. It bascailly looked like I was floating in pure black smoke. “So how about you shut up, chill and listen to Derek. I really don’t like you and no one in this room has the capability of stopping me from killing you. It’s out of respect and second hand care that you’re still alive. So shut the hell up, sit down before I use my actual powers” I didn’t even realize I had moved closer to the terrified Werecyote.
I drop her from the invisible hold I had in her. My eyes returned to normal and the “smoke” had cleared and the lights came back on.
Malia was coughing on the floor before growling at me. She stood up to come for me before Stiles and Scott grabbed her arms restraint her. I just smile and return to my previous seat.
We continued the meeting with a lot of tension. Once it was time for everyone to leave, stiles asked to speak to me. He lead me up the spiral stairs and into a room. Malia was sitting on the bed and Scott was sitting at the desk.
“You both need to stop. We’re a pack and this isn’t how you act. You’re both being childish and it’s getting annoying. So you’re going to talk it out. ”
“I don’t see why I can’t just leave. She’s the only problem here. Who cares if I don’t like her?” Malia says rolling her eyes.
“You can’t leave because like Scott said we’re a pack, whether you like it or not. This group of people are all we got. Eachother. Respect is necessary and if you’re going to stay I mine as well like you. So let’s talk it out. I’ll start. Stop acting like you’re all alone in this world. You have people. You have supernatural people. Stop acting like you are the only one in the god damn world who’s lost someone close to you. News Flash, literally every single person in the pack has. You’re not special. Quit lying and you know exactly what I’m talking about. Because as soon as you realize that there’s more than one place that’s willing to give you what you want you’re going to leave. So stop playing games. And quit coming for me, because if we’re comparing problems and issues we can and I guarantee I’ll win.”
“I never said any of that. You just want everything I have. I’ve been through shit you cant even think about. So stop.”
“Why would I want everything you have? Who wants diseases, an unstable ‘relationship’ and to have my first time on a nasty couch in the basement of an insane asylum. So fuck you and fuck this. You stay outta my way and don’t speak to me unless necessary then we’ll be okay. Because let me tell you a 17 year old with unimaginable powers is a mine field. So watch your step. And maybe if one of your little friends didn’t murder the only thing I had, we wouldn’t be here.”
“Y/n, what are you takin about?” Scott interrupts me.
“Scott, you know my grandmother and mother are dead. And I swear when I figure out who it was-”
“Stiles didn’t tell you?” Scott says making eye contact with the boy.
I spin around quick and look at stiles confused.
“Tell me what stiles?”
“We uhm. We know who killed your mom and grandma.” He says sadly not looking at me.
“You knew and didn’t tell me? Who is it. Let’s go.” I say running down the stairs. I could finally get revenge on the bastard.
“Y/n no. Uhm. We can’t go. Look it was an accident and they didn’t mean to. They’re so sorry.” Stiles began stepping closer to me. Malia and Scott stood at the bottom of the staircase while I was almost to the door.
“Stiles. What are you talking about? Just tell me who it is” I say looking in his eyes. Just like that my love grew taller.
“It was Malia” he whispers a tear running down his face. And just like that my love fell.
“No. I don’t understand. She killed them?” I said not bothering to look in any other direction than the boy I wanted to kill right now.
“Yea. Y/n look im really sorry I didn’t tell you earlier, I-”
“EARLIER. YOU THINK THATS WHY IM UPSET. GOD DAMN IT STILES HOW THE HELL COULD YOU. SHE FUCKING MURDERED MY FAMILY AND YOU SLEPT WITH HER. YOURE SLEEPING WITH HER. LIKE YOU DIDNT HOLD ME FOR YEARS AFTERWARDS. LIKE I DIDNT COME TO YOUR HOUSE ALMOST EVERY NIGHT BECAUSE I COULDN’T BE ALONE AND MY NIGHTMARES WERE TERRIBLE. LIKE I DONT FUCKING LOVE YOU. I HAVE SINCE WE WERE CHILDREN. AMD HERE YOU GO SCREWING THE BITCH THAT KILLED MY ONLY FUCKING FAMILY. You know exactly how it feels to lose your mother. And yet you just said fuck me and our lifetime of friendship. That’s wrong Stiles. And don’t think you’re safe either bitch. The ONLY reason you’re alive this second is because I’m going to fuck you up. Every single one of you.” I screamed and vented and yelled and in a blink I was gone but the entire loft was in a huge mess of papers, furniture, files and clothes.
I didn’t even bother going home. I went straight to the sheriff station. To say goodbye of course. Sheriff Stilinksi was the father I never had. Strong, caring and always welcoming.
“Y/n? Hey. Where’s Stiles?” Parrish asks me. I ignore him and go straight to the sheriffs office.
“Sheriff. I’m just here to say thank you and I love you with every ounce of me but I can’t stay here. Thank you for welcoming me and allowing me to be the person I am. Thank you so much.” I say finally bursting into tears. Stilinski runs around his desk and hugs me.
“Y/n. Sweetie. What’s wrong. Please tell me.”
“Malia- she-she killed my mom and grandma and stiles knew and still has sex with her and i-I’ve always lo-loved him” i sob. My sentences were barely comprehendible but I knew the sheriff understood.
“Oh y/n. It’s okay. Where are you gonna go?”
“I’m not sure. My dad has family down in Georgia. I can go there”
“Please be safe. I understand your need to leave but promise me you’ll be back to visit me.”
“I promise”
Mojo Bags - Howto
Mojo Bags - HowTo.
Most people in the magickal community have heard of mojo bags, but they can be very confusing, with so many people saying so many different things. In the How-to below, I will be giving you, my version of Mojo bags. This may not be the most “normal” way, it may not be your way, but this is a method of making mojo bags and I hope that this is able to clarify and clear up the very confusing world of mojo bags, a little bit.
Ingredients :
A suedette bag - preferably red (traditional), or a colour that related to your intent (modern).
Herbs - one or a few that relate to your intent.
Crystals - One of many that relate to your intent (again), they are often added in “magick” numbers, or in numbers that relate to your intent.
Paper and Pen - this is for your sigil, symbol, rune, of phrase.
Tokens - commonly used in more traditional mojo bags, a small token such as a four leaf clover charm of a lock of hair can be added depending on your intent (optional).
How-To:
Find a quiet space where no one will disturb you - this is very important.
1) Choose a suedette bag, suedette is chosen because it stops herbs from falling out of the bag, which is incredibly useful. The traditional colour of a mojo bag is red, but if you don’t have red or you would rather relate the colour to what you are doing then pick a related colour, such as: Yellow for intelligence, green for luck/money.
2) Pick out your herbs, you can use one or many, but they need to relate to what you are doing so check up the herb lists on this website, or a good book (e.g. Scott Cunninghams-Encyclopedia of magical Herbs) for all the uses of each herb. Once chosen they need to be mixed together or ground, depending on their size, I use a prestle and mortar to do both; while you are mixing the herbs you need to infuse them with your intent, before adding them to the bag.
3) Next you can pick out a collection of crystals (chippings, points, small wands, tumble stones), whatever you have around. It is common to add them in magickal numbers such as 1, 3, 7, 13, but for a mojo bag 1-3 is fine unless they are very small chippings. However, in some cases, such as love spells, it may be best to add in 2 crystals, to symbolise the two people. Hold the chosen crystals in your hand and infuse them with intent before adding them into the bag.
4) The next step is to create a phrase/word/symbol/rune or sigil that you can add into the bag to physcially show your intent. Which ever option/s you choose depends on what you feel most comfortable with or most drawn to, but they should be drawn/written onto the paper in either black or a corresponding colour ink. While you are creating the phrase/symbol/rune/sigil/word, you must infuse your intent with it before placing it into the bag.
5) The adding of tokens is something that is commonly done in the old way of mojo bag creation, less commonly used today, it can be missed off if you feel it suitable to do so. The adding of tokens is to add in items that have symbolism, for example if you want to reconnect with a lost friend you could add in a piece of jewellery of theirs, if you want to bring luck, you may want to add in a small four leaf clover charm. Before you do anything you must infuse it with your intent and then place it either in the bag, or with charms you can sew them onto the outside of the bag with corresponding coloured thread.
6) Finally you can seal up your mojo bag, by pulling the drawstrings and tying them around the bag, ensuring it will stay sealed. Despite the bag being full, it is not yet “alive”. Begin by infusing the whole bag with your intent, then you have to “feed” it. This is done with oil or incense, whichever you have available, but they must relate to your intent.
For incense , simply light the incense allowing it to glow red before blowing it out. Pass the mojo bag through the smoke several times, while infusing it with intent.
For oil , simply add a few drops of the corresponding oil onto the bag, infusing it with intent - this can be done by massaging it in with your fingers or by simply holding the bag.
8) You must keep the bag touching you for the first week or so (I tie a piece of string around it and wear it around my neck, some people put them in bras, even boxers, or you can cheat a little and keep it in your pocket for 2 weeks), after that the bag can go under your pillow or by your bed for the length of time it takes to work - this can be anything from a few weeks/months to years, depending on the spell. During this time you must keep “feeding” the bag with oil or incense and keep fusing it with your intent every week, to keep it “alive”.
Note : Do not let anyone see or touch the bag - if it is seen then you can bring it back to life by feeding it again, however, if it is touched then the bag is considered “dead” and you will have to start again.
I hope this helps someone in creating their own mojo bags, I find this method incredibly useful.
If your life has been a whirlwind,
You are not alone.
It’s eclipse season! This is a supercharged month of psychic and spiritual activity. You are sure to be experiencing some major transformations in your life.
We kick off this major celestial celebration with a Lunar Eclipse on Monday, August 7th, as we lead up to the Total Solar Eclipse on August 21st.
It’s going to be an action-packed two weeks.
Imagine all the lights going out at once… And when the lights came back on, all the furniture in your house was rearranged. That is what a lunar eclipse can feel like.
Full Moons always represent culminations and endings. This is exponentially more powerful during a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, as we are experiencing on Monday.
Our eclipsed Moon will be in the revolutionary sign of Aquarius, in harmonious trine to the expansive sign of Jupiter. You are ending a deep rooted pattern in your life that has limited you in some way.
The truth will set you free.
The Moon is associated with your emotions and intuition. Aquarius is the sign of freedom and uniqueness, and eclipses reveal deeply buried truths.
You are waking up to the truth of who you are!
The energies of this eclipse are helping you let go of old identities where you feel you need to fit in so you can prosper.
During the light of this Full Moon, let go of your fears about being unique. Celebrate your individuality, and the rare qualities that only you have. The Universe is supporting you in this process, every step of the way.
Make a wish! It’s 11:11!
Adding more manifesting mojo to this magical month, our Lunar Eclipse will take place exactly at 11:11am PST.
11:11 is a sacred geometry. It represents a gateway into the next phase of your soul’s evolution. It is also a conduit between Spirit and Matter. You can more easily receive information during this illuminated portal. Pay attention to the signs. You’re being guided to live the life your soul intended. It’s up to you to have the courage to be yourself.
Enjoy the energies!
Lucifer and God
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Lucifer is currently the only celestial being we know in the show who can unleash the Flaming Sword’s power. I was just thinking about what this implies about his relationship with God.
Like Lucifer said, Dear Ole’ Dad is almighty, so he can pretty much do anything he wants. He could perform some kind of magical-religious mojo, and ‘program’ the sword so that Lucifer would never be able to use it. You know, with the rebellion and all. BUT NOOOOOO. Instead, Lucifer is the one celestial being that has power over the sword. To me, this says so much about how God still loves his idiotic little son. He’s a manipulative dick yes, but he’s also putting so much trust in Lucifer. He’s rebelled before, and he is a potential threat, and yet he gets to control the most powerful weapon in the universe.
I know there have been rumours going around that God wants Lucifer to eventually take over and run the show (i.e. the universe), and that he’s basically manipulating Lucifer to achieve that. That would be a rather twisted expression of love, I agree, but I personally value others’ trust in me than I do cuddles and sweet words, so I really think this says a lot about how much God loves Lucifer.
So yeah, father/son relationships always give me feels and I’m having feels now.
Witchy Tip #882
Listed here are SUGGESTIONS on when NOT to perform spellwork.
#1. Right when something angers you. The exceptions to this are when the defense of an innocent is needed immediately or if a bad person must be stopped immediately.
#2. When you’re depressed. Instead, while you’re having a “decent coping day”, create coping magics for the bad days. Examples; Mood shifting jar, carry a charged for coping and happiness mojo/medicine/magic pouch, light candles pre-charged with positivity, self love, healing and comfort etc…
#3. When you’re very hungry unless you’re purposely fasting for a specific spell. Your body REQUIRES energy use during spellwork and you regain that energy by eating good foods or by sleeping. Just don’t eat anything heavy or greasy.
#4. If you’re thirsty or haven’t had adequate water intake. In other words, stay hydrated. Your body needs water to sustain itself and the better your body is doing, the better your magical workings will go.
#5. When the first thing that pops into your head is to curse/hex someone or something. Real witches can heal, hex, bless or curse freely at will. But always give some thought to a curse or hex before you jump on the broom. You may regret it the next day. Cast responsibly.
#6. When you feel tired/sleepy. Always try to rest up prior to spellwork. And try to get some decent rest afterwards as well. Better energy, better casting.
#7. When you’re feeling a strong emotion that is not in line with the magical work you’re wanting to do. An example being, don’t combine a self hating feeling with trying to cast a prosperity spell. You’re undermining your work.
#8. When you’re physically sick. Your energy is low and your body is busy healing and/or fighting off nasty germ insurgents. Try to have pre-prepared magic to use if needed like spell candles, spell jars etc.
#9. On your moon cycle (your period). This means those who go through very painful cycles, those who are usually very tired during them or have a very difficult time in general. If you want to work blood magic, use a Q-tip to save a bit of your blood for later. Seal it safely into a ziploc baggy with the air rolled out and place in the fridge for later.
#10. When you’re very stressed out. Calm yourself as best you can first. Lavender and chamomile tea, music, nature walks etc. Stress is hard on the body, mind and spirit. Plus it hurts your focus.
Please remember these are suggestions and I would never try to tell anyone how they should and should not do their personal craft. The spells I mentioned will be explained in tutorials shortly.
