Hello! Love your drawings very much! Please, post a tutorial of your Copic drawings! Already bought the colours you indicated! :D Thank you!!! PS: God, buying copics is really hard!!! But you helped a lot!

Thank you very much! I’m not sure I’m ready to be doing a Copic tutorial just yet, though - they’re still so new to me that I honestly don’t know if I’d have any useful tips to pass on just yet. I won’t write one off entirely, but it’ll be a little while before I feel ready! In the mean time, you might want to check these tutorials out: [one] [two] [three] [four] [five] [six].

You might also want to look at Copic tutorials/demonstrations on Youtube. Personally I currently subscribe to Juicy Ink, Sakuems, Sara Fabrizi, Baylee Jae and ArtByKarenEHaley. Between them they have a lot of interesting/helpful Copic videos and other general artiness.

I’m glad you found my suggestions helpful! Buying Copics is really hard at first, but after you have a few it’s a slippery slope towards buying a lot more haha (just to warn you!). I started out by looking at sososo many “best starter set” blog pieces and there was just too much information to compute. In the end I just went with colours that I really like to use in my art anyway! I’ve been filling in the blank Copic chart to keep track of my colours and it really helps identify areas where I maybe could do with a few more markers (the answer to that is that I could always do with a few more markers).

I’ve actually got a new batch in the post as we speak, so once I’ve got them in my grubby little paws maybe I could do a post about which colours I like best? I must have around 100+ markers now. I could probably also do a piece on how I work out colours for each picture. Would that be something you’d find interesting?
